Hopefully you will get renter's insurance. Doesn't make sense not to have it...it's so cheap and would save you lots of $$$ and trouble.

I will when I move next year. I only have a few months left here, so idk if it's worth it for now. I can barely afford all my bills as it is. :confused3

Damn High Rent.

Yeah...I hear ya. The rents keep going up and you get nothing to show for it. The last year I rented, the complex wanted to raise my rent by $100/month and my mortgage payment is LESS than my old rent! NO WAY...so I started looking for a house.

You'll get there. :thumbsup2

My father harrassed the heck out of me when I moved out on my own to get renters insurance. I thought there was no way I could afford insurance... insurance is alway expensive right? When I finally broke down and checked it out, I think it ran me like $25 a month maybe? I know it was ridiculously low. Of course, that was 20 years ago... :rolleyes1

When I first moved to Orlando, I got renter's insurance with State Farm and it was under $200 for the YEAR! It's very cheap.

Awoke at 3:15 and was out the door by 3:30 am. Went to Kohl's, but fell short there. Headed over to JCPenney, Sears, Disney Store, etc.... only bought a dress at Penney's.

Headed to Michaels and got some ribbon and ornaments. Then went to swim practice. Came home and began putting up the Christmas decorations, but only got some of them done....so chilly outside!

Okay, now I read your post....it makes perfect sense....NOW!!!! :headache:

I agree...renter's insurance is WAY cheap....we had it for like $20/mth or something ridiculously cheap....and renter's insurance covers YOUR property....not the building! :thumbsup2

At least you know what to ask Santa for :rolleyes1

DGD seems to be doing fine. Doesn't seem to be having any pain now.

DM are you thinking of moving to Colorado?

Eh, wouldn't be worth it. Santa visits at the tail of Dec, then Jan comes and OMG, Feb! So much will happen in so little time.

DM are you thinking of moving to Colorado?

There's at least a 72% chance of that happening next year.

BIL lives in Lafayette, loves it there. Where you thinkin of movin too? And more importantly is AD going too?????

Barb - Here are some of those castle pics I was talking about. Thought this might be easier then sending you through the whole pic of the day thread!

Penny - to answer your online poll:
A - we usually can find what we need at the local malls. I do like online shopping though - it just depends on what I'm looking for.

Good Morning ALL!!

Thursday evening - DS said he thought it would be fun to go shopping at 5am. Well, I looked through the ads and found some good bargains.

So Friday morning - he and I left the house at 4:30 to get to the mall by 5. Let me just say - WOW!! It's just as busy Black Friday as it is on the last Saturday before Christmas!

We hit Elder Beerman first to get bedding. This isn't even for Christmas but got some really good buys. Stores were crowded and lines were long - but since I wasn't looking for the "BIG Ticket ELectronics" - there was no pushing, shoving, and everyone was nice.

Son was a big help standing in checkout line saving my spot while I continued to look around the store.

I usually don't even start shopping this early and I am about half done this year. WOO-HOO:cool1:

We got back home about 8am and then I had to go visit a client for about 2-3 hours (yes on my day OFF). We got home for good about 1pm - I was wiped out.

It was a good day and DS and I spent alot of time together.:)

Well - today is WVU game at 3:30 for the Big East championship.

Have a good day, everyone!!!

-Jennifer-

Mornin'....

Lori, thanks for posting those pix...the castle is beautiful! :goodvibes Looks like "ice" on it at night...... You were right, he does take some nice pix!

Don't worry DM....when you buy a HOUSE, you haveta have homeowners insurance...... (& it's WAY more expensive than renter's insurance! :headache: ...then again, you are insuring the building AND your property inside.... )

Sounds like Jennifer had a productive Friday! :thumbsup2 Always a good feeling to 'mark things off that list", eh?
(still NOT gettin' me up at 5am tho!)

Oddly enuf, they say the last Saturday before Christmas is usually the busiest shopping day....with Black Friday the second busiest

Well...off to work.....have a good day everyone....

Morning! Just got up and have to head off to swim practice.

Sorry about our chat last night! I fell asleep and woke up at 3:43 am and was like, the computer is still on???

Catch up with the rest of ya's lata!

Sounds about right. I can't remember what it was when I got it exactly, I just remember thinking, "Is that all?"

DGD seems to be doing fine. Doesn't seem to be having any pain now.

That's good news. I guess time will tell. If she has pain after another visit with the "other" side of the family, I'd start to question some stuff.

Thanks for the pics of the castle. It is SO pretty! Makes me wish I were standing there right now. My mom is getting nostalgic today. Keeps saying, "I wish we had another trip to Disney World planned this year." I told her, "If you're buying, I'm ready!" ;)

Denver, and it was her idea!

Are you okay with Denver? I have friends in Colorado Springs, but Denver will be even more of a change than the Springs would be. Good luck with whatever/wherever you decide!

Here's another one for you... "fun" and "shopping at 5am" just don't go together in my head either.

And homeowners insurance, which we have on both this house and the one next door that Carol & Deb are living in, is nothing compared to commercial insurance. Holy Shmoly. We've got garage liability, standing inventory, workers comp, company vehicle fleet, umbrella, you name it... on top of insuring the land and building. :sad2:

We thought you had maybe gone to the potty, but when your status stayed "idle" for awhile we decided maybe not.

Good morning all-
Sorry I haven't been around yesterday. Been home, just had things to do.
Did NOT do black Friday shopping at all! :thumbsup2
Did go grocery shopping yest. DD also got the toilet stuck at home,(her poop is big!) so did alot of plunging and buckets of hot water down the toilet :scared:
Toilet is doing better now.
Got some laundry done as well :laundy:

We survived Thanksgiving dinner at BIL and his wife's house Thanksgiving night :thumbsup2 I was pleasantly surprised that SIL locked the dog up in their bedroom for part of the time when we showed up
The dog did come out of the room a few times, but Chrissy didn't scream, thank goodness. Chrissy would just slowly walk to see if the dog was around :tiptoe: It actually was a pleasant time with family, as well as SIL's side of family was there as well. I think SIL put the dog in room also b/c her neice's 2 little kids were there, and SIL's family usually come first, as of doing htings for her side of family. SIL's family comes first on the totem pole, so to speak :worship: It has always been that way when both sides of family are there at BIL house.

DM- sorry about that you got robbed  How upsetting :sad1:

Loribell- Loved the pics of the castle :cool1: :woohoo: so beautiful!
Glad to hear your granddaughter is doing better :thumbsup2 :)

Tricia- enjoyed your PUI post

I can't keep up with all of you. too chatty! :)

Hi to all I missed!

Now I gotta run, as Chrissy has an eye doctor appt this morning, about a half hour away drive. Not sure if I can get back here later today or not.

Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving!!

Hey Rose! Glad everything worked out with the SIL and the dog. Sounds like she rules the roost.
