The 4 colored pen was always a fun thing for us to have when we were younger. Many of us used these in school and we thought we were so cool for having one. But what about as an adult? I’m going to guess that many of us don’t use them, and maybe even forgot about them. Give us your colorful answer today……….

Have you ever owned a 4 colored pen?
If yes….did you use it as a kid or as an adult?
Do you use one now?
(multiple choice)

For Me…..I love love love the 4 colored pen 🟥🟦🟩⬛️!
I used one throughout all levels of school.
I’ve always used one when I was a custom picture framer to have different colors for different things on someone’s order.
When I was coaching my daughter I kept the scorebook and I used this pen along with a pencil.
I use one at my current job now to have different colors point out different things.
I think these pens are a great writing tool and I’ll always use one 🙂👍🏻

I have several in the house because I gave them out to my church kids last Christmas. It has a clip on the end too. I gave one to my teacher daughter, also handy for marking. I just use it a pen, not certain colors for this and that.

But I agree, one of those cool kid things.

In that gift bag, I also gave out an invisible ink pen. You write and then shine the little light that’s on the end of the pen to see it.

Love this one I have one !!! Such awesome memories!!! You were a cool cat if you had one of these pens in school !!! I had one but not until high school !!!

I haven't seen a four-color pen since I was a kid. I must have had one, but I don't think I used it very often. I was a Bic fan. :)

I just like my plain black Bic pens.

This is what I used in school. You could open them up and turn the ink tube around to make a...well, I don't know what it was exactly, but the tube would slide out through the front. Mini lightsaber?

We did have a couple four-color pens at home that were endlessly fun to play with too.

As a bedside nurse I used to use them every day. Black for report from the previous shift, blue for my updates, red for labs, and green for important medications.

Now I work in the ED in mental health crisis and just scribble enough notes to do an evaluation on a patient and then throw the notes away after typing it up, so the pen doesn't matter anymore. I miss having a reason to have nice pens though!

Sam's Club had a package of 7 of these things a while back. Different color ink and some also have a mechanical pencil in one of the slots. Love them. Use them at work every day.

I've had one long ago. I really didn't like it.
I just like using pens, mostly blue, but have black and some red ones

I've definitely had 4 colored pens. These days I enjoy using papermate flair pens in different colors :)

My DH gets one in stocking every year. He gets more excited about his new pen than most other gifts. 😂

I've had them in the past long ago. Never really used them though. I'd get one somewhere, it woukd be around for a time then gone. I think I've picked them up in the past for the kids and grandkids. They're always a neat surprise for a kid.

I voted "other"--I probably had one at some point but I don't remember much about it. Some how I recall that Bic pens were 19 cents. I'd lose them before they ever ran out of ink.

I loved my four-color pen "back in the day." I also bought one for my daughter when she was younger, thinking she'd love it as much as I did, but she didn't. I think we still have it around here somewhere, but I don't use it often. These day I prefer a pen that's thinner. The 4 different colors makes for a thick pen.

They used to stock them for us at work as the multiple colors were popular for marking up drafts. I used to work as a corporate writer and they came in handy before everything in review and editing went digital. We had them in grade school as well, but there were a lot of novelty/stationary shops that carried more kid oriented versions with 10+ colors. So, that's usually what everyone wanted...hence my "other" answer.

I have a four-colored pen in my pen cup. All four colors still work, although I do not use it much.

My schools didn't allow them nor could you use anything outside of a pencil or black pen.

My mom always had the four color pens though so at home i'd use them.
She was a nurse and found them useful at work plus when checking off who sent Christmas letters and who she still needed to get one to as they came in.
