Oh D~ i think the balloons are my favorite (besides mine of course)
so simple and DISNEY!!! Just love them!!!
I hope the procedure helps Josh. Back pain is the worst. i would rather be pregnant then have back pain. (or tooth pain) I wish him all the luck and warm thoughts your way!!!!
Good Luck at Target hop it goes by fast!
You can wear whatever you desire in Chicago. we won't laugh...
I like you cannot wait for you all to get here!!!! really looking forward to all the fun stuff we will be doing!!!!
Kathy i think leaves the 29th.. I wish she could come to dinner with us on the 28th!!!
Thanks Mo - I do like that bag a lot! It is such a classic - I am thinking about doing something broad like this for one of my auctions - I think it would do well.
Also, thanks - I hope it goes well today too. How is your Step-Dad? I've asked in a few different places, but I haven't seen a reply yet (still haven't looked in your PTR this morning though...). I"ve been praying for all of you and hope it goes well.
I can't wait to get there either- it's gonna be awesome!
I also wish we could see Kathy - but I think she leaves on the 26th? I remember seeing that in her PTR - so her trip is the entire time we are in Chicago... I guess we could always offer to have a Dismeet with Mark?
I hope the day at Targes goes ok.
Crossing my fingers that the procedure goes well and helps Josh
Thanks Lillian - surprisingly, it went fine. And thank you - I hope his procedure goes well today too.
How many hours are you working with only a 15 minute break? I think I would go crazy. I know in NY working a shift over 6 hours you have to take an unpaid 30 minute break.
That is how it is in MN too... But it seems that they schedule as much as possible as close to that deadline as they can... So, lots of 5.5 and 5.75 hour shifts - then they only have to give you one 15 min break - which is great for them, but its' really hard on me (and others). I don't mean to complain or anything - but it's really difficult to be scheduled from 9:30-3 (which is a normal shift for me) and only get a 15 minute break over a typical lunch time... So, I spend half of it warming up my food and the other half trying to cool it down to eat it - never mind getting to rest. LOL So, it makes for a very long day. I would much rather have a 6.5 hour shift, so I can take a real lunch.

<----- Sorry, that was such a long response.
Hope your Target day flies by. If it stops raining here, I am running to Target at lunch. Easter has totally snuck up on me and I have nothing for the girls baskets.
I hope Josh's procedure is a success. You will both be in my thoughts and prayers - hospitals are no fun.
Love the bag! And that Mickey fabric is awesome! Is that something you can find somewhere like Jo-Anns or do you order it somewhere special? I haven't seriously looked at fabric in ages, since I have no sewing skills (yet!).
Charlotte is not sick! I think she is tired and needs to catch up on some sleep, but she doesn't seem at all sick. I, on the other hand, feel horrible. I thought Sunday was the worst of the cold, yesterday I was a little tired but felt ok at work. Today, I am dragging. I feel exhausted but I know I got enough sleep. I just feel really foggy headed and like I just want to put my head down and sleep. I may be calling it a day early, or maybe I'll just work from home...That's a possibility, pjs on the couch with the laptop sounds more doable than sitting here at my desk all day.
We had an odd medical issue at our house last night. Peyton some managed to push her earring back into her earlobe. With lots of work and tears, DH was able to get it out with tweezers. I'll be on the lookout for some new backs that we won't have to worry about this with - assuming her ear heals up ok and she can wear earrings again.
Hahaha... Thanks Jennifer - Target went well. I was super busy yesterday. We've had some LOD transitions lately and some of my favorite leaders took on responsibilities on my side of the store - so they keep me busy with good projects.
THanks... I hope it goes well today too... I am a bit nervous for him - but it seems like this is the last possible course of action we can take to delay surgery.
Thanks - I order most of my fabric online... I think that one came from - uh... Grrr - the name escapes me... It's a popular fabric store, but not JoAnn's or Hancocks - it's the other one. I know
Nini would know it...
I am glad to hear that Charlotte is not sick. Such a bummer that you still aren't feeling well. I hope that you did take the day off yesterday and got some much needed rest in your PJs with your laptop on the couch - that does sound heavenly. I hope you feel better soon.
That is an odd medical issue. I had that happen to me once with the locking backs. It was actually in my cartilage piercing, it was very, VERY painful, and because my ear was so swollen, it was impossible to get the back off. I hope it's not too painful for her now that it's out.
Hi D~ I know by now you're at Target and I hope your day there goes quickly and well. No mean customers!!! And no foot problems
I certainly don't blame you for wanting to stay outside and soak up the sun. It's been a long winter for all of us. Don't feel guilty at all since your body certainly does need that natural Vitamin D. I didn't feel well yesterday and so didn't get anything done. I have to make up for it today.
Yes, I have updated a couple of times on my TR since you've been there, but I know you're busy and it will be there whenever you have time to come on over. How exciting that your Chicago trip is so close! You girls will have the time of your life and I just know I'll be able to hear the squeals of laughter from here.
Jennifer is doing very well. She is working her leg, trying to get it to bend and straighten. It wants to freeze up on her, but the PT that starts next week should be just the thing for it. She's in pain if she over does things, but she is so very happy to be free of the cast! Thanks for asking.
Okay, I LOVE that bag!!! It is just so perky! You somehow manage to infuse personality into bags that don't even have a face! How do you do that??? You are one amazing woman!
What about a bird for a pet for your Dad? They don't require much and they can be very companionable. We had an older neighbor when I was growing up who lived alone and had a bird. She taught it to say a few words and it was a source of real pleasure for her. Just a thought.
I hope whatever Josh is having done helps his back pain. It is just so hard to function with chronic back pain. Prayers for him and for you.
Thanks Lois - I survived Target. Everyone was nice to me, and my feet didn't hurt at all - I didn't even have to change shoes, which is not normal for me.
I hope you're feeling more like yourself soon - I am sure that as much as you love staying with Jennifer and family, it's tiring too... Hopefully you are able to recoup soon and everything goes back to normal.
I am just glad for Jennifer that she has the cast off, I hope that PT is able to help the rest of her leg heal. I am praying that soon, this nightmare will be over for her - and she can enjoy being the great Mom that I am sure she is.
A bird is a good idea! I will have to let him know that one. My luck is that he will just go out and get a pet of some sort with out thinking it through thoroughly... Hopefully not - and I am not sure how he would accomplish it - but I wouldn't put if past him.
Hahaha... Thanks! I honestly don't know how I do it. I just sew... The rest is in the eye of the beholder - I think.
Thanks for thinking of Josh today... I hope it goes well too. He has been having so many back problems lately, and had to take countless days/weeks off of work because he can't stand up. Hopefully this procedure brings him some relief.
Just stopped in to say hi I also had to soak up some of that sunshine!! I love the warm spring days where plants are just starting to poke through the soil. Love the skirts, not sure if I mentioned that before. I wear a lot of skirts myself, much cooler than shorts. Taking several to Disney, I like mine knee lenghth, think I am getting to old for shorter ones........
Hi Trish! I know - I love spring too... I can't seem to get enough of it this year!
Thanks! The skirts are a lot of fun - I am looking forward to wearing them this year. Yah - the ones I made are a bit above my knee - I definately wouldn't go any shorter than what they are, but now that I've worked SO hard to have knees in the first place, I figure I can show them a little bit. LOL
What a great bag!! I hope all goes well with Josh tomorrow. I know what you mean by wanting to be outside. I just got done with a 3.5 mile walk with a friend. It was so great to be out and not stuck in the house. Glad you had a nice visit with your Dad. Have a good day at Target!
Thank you!! Sounds like a nice walk... I took MM for a walk again yesterday after work... We just do a couple of liesurely laps around town, and it's so nice. I hope you had a great day, as well.
oooooh, I love the bag. It's so happy!!!!
that pic of you and Alli is so cute, and my is she tall in her boots!!!!
I'm glad you had a good visit with your dad. It sounds like he is doing pretty well. I know you are happy to see that.
YAY! Spring!!! It was definitely a rough winter. It's so nice to hear about everyone enjoying the weather!!!
Thanks Raina!
Yah - she is really tall in those boots... I nearly had a heartattck when I had to kink my neck up to see her.
Yes, he is doing great! We have a good time, and enjoy seeing him.
I know - I am so elated to have spring here finally... This winter wasn't nearly as long as last winter, but it still felt like forever. We are supposed to hit 70 deg. today, the last time we hit 70 was back in early Oct - so, 5+ months ago... It will be wonderful!
I can understand your concerns with both a cat and a dog. I'm sure you will all come to the best decision.
Wow...only a 15 minute break. That is crazy.
Nicki posted a link to your newest bag on my timeline on FB and said "This makes me think of you and the tribute to your daddy". She is right.
I hope your day isn't too bad at Target.
I hope we can figure out some sort of pet for him - I think it's a great idea!
Yah - it makes for a very long day, and a very rough day on my feet.
Nicki was so right - I wish I would have thought of that when I was doing your bag - I definately would have done that for you instead.

No worries though - a wallet is a grand idea too. On a side note, I hope you enjoyed carrying your bag on your last trip.
Here's to a decent day at Target.
I'm guilty of enjoying the sun too. I walk T when I get home and then we sit in the back yard: him sniffing and laying in grass, me reading while the cat whines at the window (she's not allowed out because she regresses and starts hissing and spitting and nipping) Especially after a couple of icky days like we've had here. Flooding a lot of places: luckily, we just got another layer of the neighbors' top soil, the joys of living at the bottom of the hill.
Thanks Ruth!
Sounds like a lovely day by you too - finally... I cannot seem to get enough of this weather. It feels so good to have the warm sun on my face again! Hopefully the flooding doesn't get too bad by you.
Thanks. So far no one has taken a turn for the worse. Jeremy was back at school today and is back to his normal 7 year old self.
Hope today went fast and the shot helps Josh.
We're all allowed to take breaks and enjoy the sunshine whenever possible.
Good - I am glad to hear that no one else has gotten too sick and Jeremy was back at school yesterday.
Thanks - I hope so too. I am a little nervous about it - but I am sure he will be fine.
I agree - sunshine helps everything!
**********************************************************
Target went well yesterday... I worked on several projects which kept me busy all day. I didn't even have to change my shoes - which I always have to do.
Josh and I watched a few episodes of Once Upon A Time last night - just love that show, we are soooo addicted! We are almost done with Season 2. So many twists and turns - it's crazy, it really keeps you guessing. And I love that it's not too gory or gruesome.
Well, today is Josh's procedure - I am a bit nervous for it. I hope it goes well. It's at the VA's Spinal Hospital, and he said there is a beautiful garden outside - so if I can sneak out there for a little while this afternoon - I am going to try.
Allison told me this morning that Gus wants her to meet his parents this weekend... According to her - he has only ever brought one other girl home to meet his parents... So, not sure what this means? We will see if we can make it work, and when. It's a big step - it's one thing for him to meet us, but it's another ballgame to have her meet them - IMO.
Anyways - I hope you all have a wonderful day. So many of you have been in my thoughts and prayers lately - I hope that some of you will update me if you can (even if only by PM) - I worry about you guys, truly I do.
D~
