~ Sew Sweet 16 ~I’m packing your angry eyes just in case~Aug 2014~ BFF' bag 8/20!!!!

It always seems like I'm playing catchup on here but i have good reason this time, we moved last weekend and the past couple of weeks have been stressfull:sad2:. We didn't know if we had the place until the moving guys were packing the truck:scared1:! Hopefully this will be the last move for awhile, we were at the other apartment for only 1year but they were raising the rent $70 a month so it was time to go. Thankfully the new casa is only 7 miles from the old place and much quieter, if that is Orlando can be quiet. One bonus is that we can now see some of the Magic Kingdom fireworks and not just hear them.

Love the applique on the new bag, subtle but still very Disney and sweet!

Your skirts are adorable, love the colors and you definately need the blue shoes to go with he coral skirt.

The picture of you and Ally is beautiful, but I got a little distracted by the bacon wrapped meatloaf. YUM!

Your dad seems to be doing fantastic, love that he is getting back into a hobby and keeping his mind sharp!

Did you explain to Target that your whole Disney trip budget rests on getting the discount on the GC? Okay not that they probably care. Dang maybe you can tuck in another auction bag to make up the difference.

I think a small cat or dog for your dad would be perfect. A cat might be better since they are more self-sufficient.

I'm glad you and V got some one on one time and were able to find Alli's birthday gift.

Dinner looks yummy!

Love the picture of you and Alli!

And the bag is terrific...I love the balloons.

Ever since I made Suzi's UPB, I get a lot of requests for this theme, but so far this is the only other one I've made with a similar applique to her's. I really love the classic Disney feel to this bag - it's a lot of fun! :thumbsup2

D~

I love this bag. It is adorable. :lovestruc

I just love those pictures of you and Alli. I wish I could pull off the cute dress, jean jacket and cowboy boots! She's beautiful....inside and out :)

Yay! Another balloon bag! I just love mine....I really love the black swirl fabric of mine, but this polka dots one is cute too! It would be cool to meet this person in the parks. Any chance they are going at the end of June??? :)

And yes, you absolutely can wear those adorable skirts to Chilis. I wear casual skirts all summer....so much more comfy than shorts for me. If it's warm enough, I will be bringing a few skirts to The Windy City too.

Very excited for this trip. We have some great things planned. I can't wait to see you and Mo again and to meet Tess! Now if only Kathy was going to be in town.....how dare she go to Disney when we are there!

Another nice bag.

Your dinner looked great!! Hope you enjoyed the leftovers too!!

So we've got a couple kids sick. Poor Jeremy woke up last night unable to keep anything down and had a fever of 101.7. So at 6 am I called and got him in to see the doctor. His fever got as high as 102.4. He finally ate some chicken noodle soup tonight (he did drink lots of water and pedialyte all day), his fever seems to have gone away so far so good. James and Sarah have runny noses and coughs but no fevers thankfully!! So hopefully no one else gets sick and the kids get through this quickly!!

Allison is BEAUTIFUL!!!!

plus i miss Josh's bbq.. YUMMMMMMMMMMM!!

Glad you dad had a Great birthday!!!

Cannot wait to see what your doing for the auction!!!!

Thanks Mo - for all of it. Yah - Josh does a mean bbq. I plan on ordering the fabric for my auction this morning. Need to crack the whip on myself.

We ended up skipping Old Navy this weekend. They had a really good deal on cardigan sweaters, which I thought Peyton needed, but it turns out she has a couple so she is all set. We watched Frozen twice Saturday morning and I did a quick house clean, I didn't want DH to have to work a full day and then come home to a disaster of a house. We ended up getting over to my parents' house later than I'd intended but we still had a nice visit.

Sounds like you had a really productive weekend. :thumbsup2

I've had a bit of a sore throat for awhile and some congestion. The pollen has been really bad, so I just assumed it was enough to get to me, even though I don't have allergy issues. Well, Saturday night I was up off and on with a runny nose and cough. Yesterday I woke up with a full blown cold and was just miserable. DH was awesome, he took the girls to visit his mom and to the Alligator Farm. I sat on the couch and cleared out a bunch on our DVR while I did our taxes. So excited that we'll actually be getting a refund this year instead of paying! I guess that's the silver lining of getting laid off and taking awhile to find a new job in 2013. I feel a little bit better today but I think Charlotte is getting sick now. I won't be too disappointed if I get a call from her school and she and I have to lay around and watch Frozen this afternoon! Although I don't want her to be sick.

I hope you are feeling better soon... How nice of you DH to take the kids and let you get some rest. I hope Charlotte doesn't come down with something...

Glad your dad is doing well and picking up an old hobby of his! That's a good sign that he's feeling much better and more like himself. Glad you guys had a nice visit.

Me too! It's good to see him this way.

Sounds like a great weekend with one on one time with each of your girls! I was drooling over you dinner on Facebook last night! How awesome to get all of your clothes cleaned out! I have some big clean out projects in mind, and aside from the cold, I'm pretty motivated to tackle them. I'm going to go to bed super early tonight, but maybe tomorrow I can start getting stuff off of my to-do list.

Hahaha... Yah - the bbq was fanatastic... I will be having the last of it for lunch today - so sad that it's gone.

Good luck accomplishing your to-do list. :thumbsup2

Love the pictures of you and Alli! Can't wait to see your latest creation!

Thanks!

If we get spring it comes late May. It's not uncommon that we get snow on 16th of May. I say if we get spring because often we go straight from winter to summer temperature. In both cases spring is short here.

It's a good idea to clean out the clothes that you don't use anymore. It makes more space for the clothes you do use. I really should do this myself. It's just so much easier to not to do it than to get into the bedroom and just get the job done.

That's how our spring was last year - we went straight from winter to summer... It was odd for us.

Yes - it's such a relief to have my closet cleaned out. Now, hopefully I won't miss anything that's gone and I have enough left. LOL

I'm so sorry to hear this! We, too, had serious problems concerning our oldest son. It took years, but he did turn himself around and is quite successful now. So, take heart. There is hope. And of course there is ALWAYS hope when you know God. I will add your son to my prayer list. Thank you for trusting us and sharing such a deeply painful problem and please keep us posted.

I am glad to hear you had a happy ending Lois. Carol has been on my mind and in my prayers a lot these last few days.

I don't want to be a buttinski, but I would urge you to watch Forks over Knives, Hungry for Change and Food Matters. These films changed the way I looked at medications, food and my ability to lose weight forever. There is a lot of information in each one, but you can take what works for you and ignore the rest or embrace the entire way of thinking. If you have Netflix, these are all available on there. If not, check your library. It's worth it! Blessings to you!

I haven't seen Forks over Knives yet - but it's on my list to watch. I've seen the rest of them though. It's definately changed my way of eating.

D~ those skirts are darling! I am a big fan of the black and white one since accessorizing is so easy and the prints are so beautiful. The coral one is great too! Who knows, maybe your future Disney trips will be funded by you making garments for people!

Thanks! I love the black and white one too - it's my favorite. Hahaha...

I'm glad you got to go to your Dad's and that Alli was able to go with you. Sounds like you had a lot of fun. As far as the DQ, if you do 80/20 you'll be fine. In other words, 80% of time you are sticking with your eating plan. I think you do more like 95%!

Yah - I try to do about 90/10, and I think for the most part, I am good with that. I think the ice cream brought me down into the 80s - LOL - but that's OK. We had fun - and that's what matters.

I'm so glad your Dad is getting interested in an old hobby. That is such a great sign that he looks forward to each day. Just think. You are a large reason for that. That should make you feel so good.

I am happy to see him busy with his hobby too. It will be good for him. I still feel a lot of guilt for the way he was living before, it's very hard for me to see beyond that. But it does make me feel better that he is doing so well/happy now.

It's too bad you can't use those extra discounts. I know it must have been such a shock. I am really glad you can do auctions to make up for it, even though it will be a lot of work for you. You seem to thrive on work, though.

Yah - hahahaha - not so much lately. I need to get back to doing my auctions - I've been such a slacker.

I loved the pic of you and Alli!! You both looked so cute! And I love that you're wearing your shorts and flip flops as promised. Hope Alli had a good time at her play. (and glad she and Gus are almost back together!)

Thanks - LOL... Yah - those are the only shorts I have at the moment that fit me... I have a few that survived the bin binge this weekend that are a bit smaller, I haven't tried them on in several weeks - so they may fit by now? I should do that soon.

I got home from Virginia on Thursday and did absolutely nothing on Friday. We took my Mom and Dad out to eat for their anniversary (67th) and visited with them for a bit. I was still pretty tired, so we made it an early evening. Anyway, I am sitting here, missing my morning cuddles with the little ones. I guess I want it all!!

Have a great day in your sewing room and I hope to see the pics of the latest bag soon.

Glad you are home safe. I hope Jennifer is doing better. I need to get over to your TR and see if there are any updates. I am sure you miss the littles. Will you be going back anytime soon?

Whew, I am finally all caught up! So glad to hear your Dad is enjoying his new place!

I LOVE the skirts! The black & white mirror fabric is great! I wish my local stores had more fabric like that.

Thanks! I love that he is too.

Thanks! I love how those skirts turned out - they were a lot of fun to make.

LOVE the skirts! I do love wearing skirts and dresses in the summer. I have to sort of dress up for work, so skirts and dresses are a way to dress up and still be cool and comfortable in the summer.

Thanks Oopsi! I don't really have to dress up - so I rarely get the opportunity to wear them. I think I am just going to start sewing in them? LOL

So glad you had a good weekend, we did too. I love that the sun is shining again, and the temps are getting a bit warmer. It just really invigorates me.

I know - me too... I took MM for a walk yesterday - the sunshine felt so good! Then I couldn't bring myself to go back to work - so I sat on the back deck (in the sunshine) and read a book. It was heavenly!

We did a major cleaning to our front porch last week. Boy can it get messy during the winter months! Our porch runs the full length of our ranch style house, so it is LONG. It took us about two hours to sweep the whole thing, knock down the cobwebs, scrub down all the furniture, clean the windows, and shake out the door mats....but it looks so much better now!

Yah- I didn't get our porch cleaned off... Our yard is still too muddy to get down to the shed. Hopefully by this weekend it will be a lot more dried out.

I love the applique and the fabric inside the bag.

Thanks Lillian!

It always seems like I'm playing catchup on here but i have good reason this time, we moved last weekend and the past couple of weeks have been stressfull. We didn't know if we had the place until the moving guys were packing the truck!

Congrats on the move and getting it done. I despise moving... LOL And I dread if we ever sell this house and have to move - it will take us months to purge and pack it. How awesome that you get to see some of the MK fireworks though - I would purge and move in a heartbeat if that is where I would get to be. :thumbsup2 I hope you are getting settled and enjoying your new place.

Love the applique on the new bag, subtle but still very Disney and sweet!

Thanks!

Your skirts are adorable, love the colors and you definately need the blue shoes to go with he coral skirt.

Thanks - LOL - they are on their way. :thumbsup2

The picture of you and Ally is beautiful, but I got a little distracted by the bacon wrapped meatloaf. YUM!

Hahaha... I had the same issue. It was so good - I get the last of it for lunch today.

Your dad seems to be doing fantastic, love that he is getting back into a hobby and keeping his mind sharp!

Yes, it's so wonderful to see him enjoying himself again.

Did you explain to Target that your whole Disney trip budget rests on getting the discount on the GC? Okay not that they probably care. Dang maybe you can tuck in another auction bag to make up the difference.

Hahaha... I wish... Yah - I will end up doing a few extra auction bags to make up for it. Sadly.

I think a small cat or dog for your dad would be perfect. A cat might be better since they are more self-sufficient.

Well, there are good things and bad things about both... So, I am not sure which he will decide to do? If he has a cat - they are more self sufficient, for sure... but I have no idea how he would clean the litter box, and I could see that turning into a disaster. :crowded: If he did a small dog, well - then he would have to take it out for walks, which would be a GOOD thing, ordinarily... but when my dad has my brother for the weekends, there is no way he would be able to manage both of them to go outside for walks. So, that is something for him to consider too. We'll see.

I'm glad you and V got some one on one time and were able to find Alli's birthday gift.

Yes, it was fun... I love spending time with both of them one on one.

Dinner looks yummy!

It was delicious!

Love the picture of you and Alli!

And the bag is terrific...I love the balloons.

Thanks Kathy! :lovestruc

The food looked yummy. I love the bag. It is beautiful.

Thanks Chiara! :lovestruc You were on my mind a lot over the last few days.

I love this bag. It is adorable.

Thanks Sue!

I just love those pictures of you and Alli. I wish I could pull off the cute dress, jean jacket and cowboy boots! She's beautiful....inside and out

Thanks Suzi... Yah - now I want a pair of cowboy boots too... Seeing as the jean jacket she is wearing is mine - I am already half way there. LOL

Yay! Another balloon bag! I just love mine....I really love the black swirl fabric of mine, but this polka dots one is cute too! It would be cool to meet this person in the parks. Any chance they are going at the end of June???

Hahaha... Not sure when they are going?

And yes, you absolutely can wear those adorable skirts to Chilis. I wear casual skirts all summer....so much more comfy than shorts for me. If it's warm enough, I will be bringing a few skirts to The Windy City too.

Phew! I don't care where we go, as long as I can wear a skirt. Yay!!!! Glad I won't be alone in all my skirt glory. ::yes::

Very excited for this trip. We have some great things planned. I can't wait to see you and Mo again and to meet Tess! Now if only Kathy was going to be in town.....how dare she go to Disney when we are there!

I am sooooo excited too!!! It's going to be an amazing trip! :thumbsup2

James and Sarah have runny noses and coughs but no fevers thankfully!! So hopefully no one else gets sick and the kids get through this quickly!!

Thanks Sandra. Awwww... Poor kiddos... I sure hope no one else gets sick. Sending hugs your way!

**********************************************************

Well, I worked most of yesterday. Yay!

Then, I was distracted by the warm sunshine...

So I took MM for a walk... It was 62 deg and partly sunny... I took advantage and it was lovely.

Then, when we came back, I couldn't bring myself to work again. So, I took my body (clothed in shorts and a tank top) out to the back deck and plunked down to read a book in the sunshine. It was so nice to get some real Vitamin D. ::yes::

Today, I work at Target. Sigh. All day. With only a short 15 minute break - I hate days like this.

Tomorrow, Josh is having a procedure done on his back. An epidural with some sort of injection - I yelled at him because he has no idea what they are injecting him with... :confused3 :( So, I will be at the hospital most of the day with him. But hopefully this will bring him some relief to all the problems he has been having lately.

I hope all of you have a wonderful day. Sending out prayers to all who requested them. :wizard:

D~

Oh D~ i think the balloons are my favorite (besides mine of course)
so simple and DISNEY!!! Just love them!!!

I hope the procedure helps Josh. Back pain is the worst. i would rather be pregnant then have back pain. (or tooth pain) I wish him all the luck and warm thoughts your way!!!!

Good Luck at Target hop it goes by fast!

You can wear whatever you desire in Chicago. we won't laugh... :rotfl:

I like you cannot wait for you all to get here!!!! really looking forward to all the fun stuff we will be doing!!!! :hyper:

Kathy i think leaves the 29th.. I wish she could come to dinner with us on the 28th!!!

I hope the day at Targes goes ok.
Crossing my fingers that the procedure goes well and helps Josh

How many hours are you working with only a 15 minute break? I think I would go crazy. I know in NY working a shift over 6 hours you have to take an unpaid 30 minute break.

Hope your Target day flies by. If it stops raining here, I am running to Target at lunch. Easter has totally snuck up on me and I have nothing for the girls baskets.

I hope Josh's procedure is a success. You will both be in my thoughts and prayers - hospitals are no fun.

Love the bag! And that Mickey fabric is awesome! Is that something you can find somewhere like Jo-Anns or do you order it somewhere special? I haven't seriously looked at fabric in ages, since I have no sewing skills (yet!).

Charlotte is not sick! I think she is tired and needs to catch up on some sleep, but she doesn't seem at all sick. I, on the other hand, feel horrible. I thought Sunday was the worst of the cold, yesterday I was a little tired but felt ok at work. Today, I am dragging. I feel exhausted but I know I got enough sleep. I just feel really foggy headed and like I just want to put my head down and sleep. I may be calling it a day early, or maybe I'll just work from home...That's a possibility, pjs on the couch with the laptop sounds more doable than sitting here at my desk all day.

We had an odd medical issue at our house last night. Peyton some managed to push her earring back into her earlobe. With lots of work and tears, DH was able to get it out with tweezers. I'll be on the lookout for some new backs that we won't have to worry about this with - assuming her ear heals up ok and she can wear earrings again.

Hi D~ I know by now you're at Target and I hope your day there goes quickly and well. No mean customers!!! And no foot problems!!:thumbsup2

I certainly don't blame you for wanting to stay outside and soak up the sun. It's been a long winter for all of us. Don't feel guilty at all since your body certainly does need that natural Vitamin D. I didn't feel well yesterday and so didn't get anything done. I have to make up for it today.

Yes, I have updated a couple of times on my TR since you've been there, but I know you're busy and it will be there whenever you have time to come on over. How exciting that your Chicago trip is so close! You girls will have the time of your life and I just know I'll be able to hear the squeals of laughter from here.:rotfl:

Jennifer is doing very well. She is working her leg, trying to get it to bend and straighten. It wants to freeze up on her, but the PT that starts next week should be just the thing for it. She's in pain if she over does things, but she is so very happy to be free of the cast! Thanks for asking.

Okay, I LOVE that bag!!! It is just so perky! You somehow manage to infuse personality into bags that don't even have a face! How do you do that??? You are one amazing woman!::yes::

What about a bird for a pet for your Dad? They don't require much and they can be very companionable. We had an older neighbor when I was growing up who lived alone and had a bird. She taught it to say a few words and it was a source of real pleasure for her. Just a thought.

I hope whatever Josh is having done helps his back pain. It is just so hard to function with chronic back pain. Prayers for him and for you.

Just stopped in to say hi :chat: I also had to soak up some of that sunshine!! I love the warm spring days where plants are just starting to poke through the soil. Love the skirts, not sure if I mentioned that before. I wear a lot of skirts myself, much cooler than shorts. Taking several to Disney, I like mine knee lenghth, think I am getting to old for shorter ones........:goodvibes

What a great bag!! I hope all goes well with Josh tomorrow. I know what you mean by wanting to be outside. I just got done with a 3.5 mile walk with a friend. It was so great to be out and not stuck in the house. Glad you had a nice visit with your Dad. Have a good day at Target!

oooooh, I love the bag. It's so happy!!!! :cloud9:

that pic of you and Alli is so cute, and my is she tall in her boots!!!! :lmao:

I'm glad you had a good visit with your dad. It sounds like he is doing pretty well. I know you are happy to see that.

YAY! Spring!!! It was definitely a rough winter. It's so nice to hear about everyone enjoying the weather!!!

I can understand your concerns with both a cat and a dog. I'm sure you will all come to the best decision.

Wow...only a 15 minute break. That is crazy.

Nicki posted a link to your newest bag on my timeline on FB and said "This makes me think of you and the tribute to your daddy". She is right.

I hope your day isn't too bad at Target.

Here's to a decent day at Target.

I'm guilty of enjoying the sun too. I walk T when I get home and then we sit in the back yard: him sniffing and laying in grass, me reading while the cat whines at the window (she's not allowed out because she regresses and starts hissing and spitting and nipping) Especially after a couple of icky days like we've had here. Flooding a lot of places: luckily, we just got another layer of the neighbors' top soil, the joys of living at the bottom of the hill. :)

Thanks Sandra. Awwww... Poor kiddos... I sure hope no one else gets sick. Sending hugs your way!

Thanks. So far no one has taken a turn for the worse. Jeremy was back at school today and is back to his normal 7 year old self. :rotfl2:

Hope today went fast and the shot helps Josh.

We're all allowed to take breaks and enjoy the sunshine whenever possible.

Kathy i think leaves the 29th.. I wish she could come to dinner with us on the 28th!!!

Thanks Mo - I do like that bag a lot! It is such a classic - I am thinking about doing something broad like this for one of my auctions - I think it would do well. :confused3

Also, thanks - I hope it goes well today too. How is your Step-Dad? I've asked in a few different places, but I haven't seen a reply yet (still haven't looked in your PTR this morning though...). I"ve been praying for all of you and hope it goes well.

I can't wait to get there either- it's gonna be awesome! :cool1:

I also wish we could see Kathy - but I think she leaves on the 26th? I remember seeing that in her PTR - so her trip is the entire time we are in Chicago... I guess we could always offer to have a Dismeet with Mark? :rotfl2:

I hope the day at Targes goes ok.
Crossing my fingers that the procedure goes well and helps Josh

Thanks Lillian - surprisingly, it went fine. And thank you - I hope his procedure goes well today too.

How many hours are you working with only a 15 minute break? I think I would go crazy. I know in NY working a shift over 6 hours you have to take an unpaid 30 minute break.

That is how it is in MN too... But it seems that they schedule as much as possible as close to that deadline as they can... So, lots of 5.5 and 5.75 hour shifts - then they only have to give you one 15 min break - which is great for them, but its' really hard on me (and others). I don't mean to complain or anything - but it's really difficult to be scheduled from 9:30-3 (which is a normal shift for me) and only get a 15 minute break over a typical lunch time... So, I spend half of it warming up my food and the other half trying to cool it down to eat it - never mind getting to rest. LOL So, it makes for a very long day. I would much rather have a 6.5 hour shift, so I can take a real lunch. :confused3 <----- Sorry, that was such a long response.

Hope your Target day flies by. If it stops raining here, I am running to Target at lunch. Easter has totally snuck up on me and I have nothing for the girls baskets.

I hope Josh's procedure is a success. You will both be in my thoughts and prayers - hospitals are no fun.

Hahaha... Thanks Jennifer - Target went well. I was super busy yesterday. We've had some LOD transitions lately and some of my favorite leaders took on responsibilities on my side of the store - so they keep me busy with good projects. :thumbsup2

THanks... I hope it goes well today too... I am a bit nervous for him - but it seems like this is the last possible course of action we can take to delay surgery.

Thanks - I order most of my fabric online... I think that one came from - uh... Grrr - the name escapes me... It's a popular fabric store, but not JoAnn's or Hancocks - it's the other one. I know Nini would know it...

I am glad to hear that Charlotte is not sick. Such a bummer that you still aren't feeling well. I hope that you did take the day off yesterday and got some much needed rest in your PJs with your laptop on the couch - that does sound heavenly. I hope you feel better soon.

That is an odd medical issue. I had that happen to me once with the locking backs. It was actually in my cartilage piercing, it was very, VERY painful, and because my ear was so swollen, it was impossible to get the back off. I hope it's not too painful for her now that it's out.

Hi D~ I know by now you're at Target and I hope your day there goes quickly and well. No mean customers!!! And no foot problems

Thanks Lois - I survived Target. Everyone was nice to me, and my feet didn't hurt at all - I didn't even have to change shoes, which is not normal for me.

I hope you're feeling more like yourself soon - I am sure that as much as you love staying with Jennifer and family, it's tiring too... Hopefully you are able to recoup soon and everything goes back to normal.

I am just glad for Jennifer that she has the cast off, I hope that PT is able to help the rest of her leg heal. I am praying that soon, this nightmare will be over for her - and she can enjoy being the great Mom that I am sure she is.

A bird is a good idea! I will have to let him know that one. My luck is that he will just go out and get a pet of some sort with out thinking it through thoroughly... Hopefully not - and I am not sure how he would accomplish it - but I wouldn't put if past him.

Hahaha... Thanks! I honestly don't know how I do it. I just sew... The rest is in the eye of the beholder - I think. :thumbsup2

Thanks for thinking of Josh today... I hope it goes well too. He has been having so many back problems lately, and had to take countless days/weeks off of work because he can't stand up. Hopefully this procedure brings him some relief.

Just stopped in to say hi I also had to soak up some of that sunshine!! I love the warm spring days where plants are just starting to poke through the soil. Love the skirts, not sure if I mentioned that before. I wear a lot of skirts myself, much cooler than shorts. Taking several to Disney, I like mine knee lenghth, think I am getting to old for shorter ones........

Hi Trish! I know - I love spring too... I can't seem to get enough of it this year!

Thanks! The skirts are a lot of fun - I am looking forward to wearing them this year. Yah - the ones I made are a bit above my knee - I definately wouldn't go any shorter than what they are, but now that I've worked SO hard to have knees in the first place, I figure I can show them a little bit. LOL :cheer2:

What a great bag!! I hope all goes well with Josh tomorrow. I know what you mean by wanting to be outside. I just got done with a 3.5 mile walk with a friend. It was so great to be out and not stuck in the house. Glad you had a nice visit with your Dad. Have a good day at Target!

Thank you!! Sounds like a nice walk... I took MM for a walk again yesterday after work... We just do a couple of liesurely laps around town, and it's so nice. I hope you had a great day, as well.

oooooh, I love the bag. It's so happy!!!!

that pic of you and Alli is so cute, and my is she tall in her boots!!!! :lmao:

I'm glad you had a good visit with your dad. It sounds like he is doing pretty well. I know you are happy to see that.

YAY! Spring!!! It was definitely a rough winter. It's so nice to hear about everyone enjoying the weather!!!

Thanks Raina!

Yah - she is really tall in those boots... I nearly had a heartattck when I had to kink my neck up to see her. :rotfl2:

Yes, he is doing great! We have a good time, and enjoy seeing him.

I know - I am so elated to have spring here finally... This winter wasn't nearly as long as last winter, but it still felt like forever. We are supposed to hit 70 deg. today, the last time we hit 70 was back in early Oct - so, 5+ months ago... It will be wonderful!

I hope we can figure out some sort of pet for him - I think it's a great idea!

Yah - it makes for a very long day, and a very rough day on my feet. :scared:

Nicki was so right - I wish I would have thought of that when I was doing your bag - I definately would have done that for you instead. :flower3: No worries though - a wallet is a grand idea too. On a side note, I hope you enjoyed carrying your bag on your last trip. :lovestruc

Thanks Ruth!

Sounds like a lovely day by you too - finally... I cannot seem to get enough of this weather. It feels so good to have the warm sun on my face again! Hopefully the flooding doesn't get too bad by you. :flower3:

Thanks. So far no one has taken a turn for the worse. Jeremy was back at school today and is back to his normal 7 year old self.

Hope today went fast and the shot helps Josh.

We're all allowed to take breaks and enjoy the sunshine whenever possible.

Good - I am glad to hear that no one else has gotten too sick and Jeremy was back at school yesterday.

Thanks - I hope so too. I am a little nervous about it - but I am sure he will be fine.

I agree - sunshine helps everything! :beach:

**********************************************************

Target went well yesterday... I worked on several projects which kept me busy all day. I didn't even have to change my shoes - which I always have to do. ::yes::

Josh and I watched a few episodes of Once Upon A Time last night - just love that show, we are soooo addicted! We are almost done with Season 2. So many twists and turns - it's crazy, it really keeps you guessing. And I love that it's not too gory or gruesome.

Well, today is Josh's procedure - I am a bit nervous for it. I hope it goes well. It's at the VA's Spinal Hospital, and he said there is a beautiful garden outside - so if I can sneak out there for a little while this afternoon - I am going to try.

Allison told me this morning that Gus wants her to meet his parents this weekend... According to her - he has only ever brought one other girl home to meet his parents... So, not sure what this means? We will see if we can make it work, and when. It's a big step - it's one thing for him to meet us, but it's another ballgame to have her meet them - IMO. :confused3

Anyways - I hope you all have a wonderful day. So many of you have been in my thoughts and prayers lately - I hope that some of you will update me if you can (even if only by PM) - I worry about you guys, truly I do. :grouphug:
