Actually, we are having a housefull over Labor Day weekend, so that kinda rules out setting things out. So the suitcases will stay in the basement until September 5. That should be enought time, right?
We do have a box with some odds and ends that we have bought for the cruise.
Probably have more to throw in there....like Bubba Mugs.
52 oz of firewater.

I'm just a little "obsessed" with scrapbooking....I'm still working on my Panama Canal scrapbook...I'm at 125 pages and I'm not even half done!!!!!

Decorate it with anything that floats your boat. Between the laser lights, fireworks and a mariachi band this could get interesting. Ours is rather tame and done in a Disney theme , mostly done with scrapbook stuff.

BLUEWAVES: ~ Thanks for voluunteering your husband. So... Hmmmm....... You say he can EAT IT IN ONE BITE, eh? Now THAT sounds like a serious challenger has been vicariously volunteered into the fray! Woo---Hoo! Now... on the other hand - since it seems your spouse still does not know what hes' been volunteered for ... you do know we have a "poultry penalty" for those who are entered and then later back out or otherwise fail to appear and cluck out of arriving on the starting line at the fateful hour. Of course, the penalty is a "secret penalty" ... since "the secret committee" has not convened yet ( or been formed? ) to vote ( what?... we vote???! )on such matters as defineing what sort of thing qualifies as a "secret penalty".

Oh well... I was hoping to draw the Pirate poets out in force with my pseudo pirate yak - but I guess it did not work. Or maybe my pirate prose was not "swash-buckling-like" enuf.

SO - we will tenatively mark yer cabin mate down fer a seat at the competitors line up. Time, date and location TBA soon. Don't hold yer breath though! Sooner could very well turn into later. OK - I'll set a time and date to be announced in the next newsletter.... maybe.

So you suppose we can do a simple "on your marks --- get set --- and go?..." or shall we try one of those "Le Mans" style race starts from the 60s where the ice cream bars are lined up across a row of cocktail tables in the promenade lounge and the competitors "sprint" the 10 steps or so to get to their Mickey Bars?

Le Mans races were famous for having the race car drivers begin with a MAD SPRINT to their cars at the start!

OK... maybe we'll NOT do a "Le Mans" style sprint to the Mickey Bar line up for the same safety concerns that emerged in the late 60s with the real Le Mans race - as safety compromises during our event may threaten our non-existant liability limits!

Frankly... the LE Mans style start sounds quite dramatic and "FUN"... or at least it would be fun to photograph! Perhaps I can come up with a safer "modified" combination of a Le Mans - ala- NASCAR type race start that SPEED RACER and TRIXIE would not be embarassed to paqrticipate in???
