Well....

O.K. first things first. Lee was reading the thread at work today. She calls me to ask "is that CaptainCrash crazy or what?". My reply was that I thought he fit in with the rest of us fruitcakes already here.

I'd like to thank you for...

... the vote of tolerance here. I actually KNEW I was going over the top a little - but what the heck - I was just havin' a little fun with my creative excess here. I'm actually quite harmless and more normal in real life then my postings may otherwise suggest.

You know - I actually am VERY HAPPY about transferring into this Southern schedule... the ports are shaping up to be big fun for us from our POV - and sailing 40 days sooner plays favorably into my "book".

And - of course - I just recently joined and have less time to make obvious that I am offerring another event for everyones' entertainment pleasure. Your mileage may vary. BUt for the light hearted who havenot participated in anything like this lately - this may be another bit of memorable nonsense from this voyage!

And yes - I actually do believe there is no harm in savoring 11 Mickey bars (one a day) on the ship while inhaling ONE for the challenge and chuckles!

Heres' a photo from our last (and 1st) running of the Mickey Ice Cream Bar speed eating challenge from our last sailing (last September 3rd, 2005). This turned out to be quite dramatic and it was filled with pregnant drama! Here is last years' 1st place winner who jumped up - and the 1st runner up is clearly seated to the left...

Too bad there isn't a prize for the SLOPPIEST ice cream eaters. I could sign my kids up for that for sure! Somehow they all end up with more on their faces than in their mouths--- sort of resembling a chocolate clown!

We have one large suitcase started with grass skirts, snorkel gear, bug spray, tanning lotion, etc...

but I'm on my way out to watch POCII, and am in a hurry I think I will heed some WONDERFUL advice and order the pins and I will send them to the ship. SO, the pins will be $2.25 each. If there is any $$ left over from shipping the pins, I'll buy rounds of drinks until the $$ is gone (so that would be about 4 drinks...right?) If you really want your pins early, you can address a padded envelope with appropriate postage (will depend of the # of pins) and I will gladly get those out to you. Please PM me for my address.

The Gaylord Opryland hotel and resort starting putting the christmas lights on the trees yesterday. It takes them 3 months to put them all on the trees and building as there are 2,000,000 lights to put in place. Mike

We started last month. As I thought of things I knew we would need I put them in the Misc. suitcase. (Things like tropical cocktail napkins for wine tasting). Yesterday I put Lamar's grass skirt in because Bubba (my DOG) was eating it. PJ's and slippers are in there too. My favorite tea cup for tea with the girls. My favorite Watermelon martini glasses. Of course all the scuba gear is packed.
In March, earlier this year, I took one suitcase for a 2 1/2 week trip to Egypt. We travelled the entire country. I did fine. But... I'm not flying this time so I think I'll pack everything and anything I want and don't need. The porters are going to make a good buck on us.

Bob, If you count having suitcases out and throwing things on the extra bed as you think of them packing my DH and I started weeks ago.

Julie, don't know about DZIX240-75 but we just bought Fugi disposable underwater cameras that have X-tra 800 film in them. Found them at Wal-Mart.

Scott (butlersdidit), your fish extender went in the mail today. Kay (Krdisneybound), Linda and Michelle's went in the mail today, also.

Captaincrazy, will have to give the Mickey Ice Cream Bar eating contest some serious thought. Would you believe? As many time times as I have been to WDW I have never had one? Don't know why, probably because I have just never gotten around to it. Too many other things to try, I guess. I know it isn't because I don't like chocolate or ice cream because I am addicted to both.

I'm not really too thrilled to be a "Bonnie".... like, what the heck does Bonnie imply about me? SO - I think I'll have to try it again with some adjustments. Plus maybe my spouse will give it a try to come up with a fun pirate nick name!

Officially - I maintain my preference for my pirate name to remain Captain Crash - for now....

I concur Bob, me thinks we all came out of the oven a little too early.

RE Bubba Mugs, at the mini mart here I saw a 100 oz bubba mug. I thought it should have had wheels.

Good that some are taking up the ice cream challenge; I know there are some hearty souls, who will accept the challenge. I coulda been a contender, (pre op that is)

Bob no cruise packing yet, just packing to move, thus real confusion will start when we try to find the stuff we want to pack for the cruise.

Time to try and get a little more sleep.

Started packing I never unpacked from last year

Seriously, I have been setting stuff aside. The only clothes sort of packed are the t-shirts special for the cruise, grass skirts and pirate stuff. I have a suitcase full so far. Once my company leaves this weekend, I can spread out in the Mickey room 24 1/2 more work days for me

August is shaping up to be a busy month. We thought we had a weekend free, but that changed yesterday On a good note, I found a way to save a bit more on my pre-cruise stay Any way to save a buck, right Peter??!!

Bill may be interested in the ice cream contest, though I haven't asked him yet. I'm not big on chocolate dipped ice cream (yes, I've never had a Mickey Bar )

For those of you who know me....I have a question.
I have been pondering dressing up for pirates night. I haven't done this before and I sit here asking myself: pirate or wench. Which am I? I could dress either way- I just can't decide how to classify myself.



Crash- they only eat one ice cream bar or do they eat many bars?


Elaine- I finally looked at my reservation and we have brunch the next day, so count us in for breakfast. Robb, Noah, & Celeste. You can also add my sister's family: Arainna, Patrick, Kate, & Lily.

I called into work today as I wasn't feeling well and only slept 2 hours last night. I decided sick people shouldn't have a nurse with 2 hours of sleep. Maybe I'll go to see pirates today.
