I may be a bit dim ( likely ) but how exactly do you update your ESTA ? I know how to get one in the first place but thats about it.

Go onto the ESTA website Sarah - you will have to log in and then update your ESTA. It's very easy.

I too have not got one thing sorted for this cruise. I am going to hold off till August...hopefully will be able to get everything I need. DH is sorted, all his stuff is bought and packed. Excess baggage is paid for ;) ESTA's updated. Cruise has been PIF for a while.
I am just putting $$'s on my FairFX Card to pay for gratuities etc.

A cut off date is a good idea for the planned events. I think end of July maybe then we know where we all are.

I think I am going to hold off buying clothes until August too.

Have you really packed Neil's stuff already? That is super organised!

I've been slowly adding $$'s to my Fairfx card too, I love that little card! :thumbsup2

I can see us two running around like headless chickens in August Claire, trying to get everything :)

Oh yes, as soon as it was bought it was packed, all except the suit that's hanging in the wardrobe...he is ready to go:goodvibes

I love our card too, it's so handy. I am considering getting the Euro FairFX card too:)

Susie

Just checking DCL and there's a sideways cabin on deck 6 showing available....6015. Hope you're lucky to nab it.

Sarah all I did was go to the ESTA page, I couldn't find my esta numbers so just used the "forgot esta" section and logged in using passport number and d.o.b. then it brings your details up, simply change the hotel name where you are staying in July & click update. Very easy to do. :thumbsup2

Lol, I will be! I always am just before a holiday. :lmao: I've promised myself that I am going to get everything else sorted before the end of July, so August will just be about clothes shopping! Well that's the plan anyway.....:rolleyes1

That is very organised!!! Do you fancy sorting Lee's out for me? He is worse than me sometimes. ;)

I was thinking about the European one too, as i'd feel better just carrying that around (what with all the pick pockets) rather than my credit cards.

Good luck Susie, I hope you get it. :thumbsup2

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

My FE gifts for this cruise are acquired, my scrapbook swap stuff is done, but the "junk in the trunk" is still in the process of being shed - slowly VERY slowly. . .

Tomorrow is the day platinums can book excursions, right? This is number 12 for me.

Happy Day, all!

Fantastic Claire, I have been looking everywhere for my ESTAs and couldn't find the ones for July. Great tip about the forgot esta section :thumbsup2 thought it was going to cost me $15 each. I had done them last year, just before they started charging, just needed to re-print.

Good luck Susie, I hope you get it. :thumbsup2

I just looked on the DCL website and the 6015 sideways is still showing, I hope Susie gets on the phone to them soon to grab it :)

Hi Everyone,
I'm not one for posting very often, but read daily for updates and all the fantastic information that you all have, thanks by the way!!! I was wondering if you have directios to Morrison's? When we were there last year on the EBTA I can't even remember anybody talking about it!!! My husband will definately want to go.

LOL's Claire Neil was so easy, shorts & t'Shirts...one happy chappy ;)

I was thinking that too. I'm not sure how many Euro's we're going to need so thought of the card saves carrying cash around. I'm sure that they'll be widely accepted.

Will you be booking Palo Linda? Make sure you leave some for us Silver members ;)

Need some advice about hiring scooters / wheelchairs at the various theme parks, Dad doesn't want to hire one for the duration of our stay at the Boardwalk, said he would consider hiring something for the day when we get to a park, if he needs it (he doesn't want to admit that he might need the help). Can you order on line or do you have to wait until you get to the theme park? Any idea of cost?

Burnice

Scooters are first come, first served in the parks. Daily cost is $50, with a $20 refundable key deposit. If you park hop, you just bring your deposit ticket from the first park and they will honor it (if they have scooters available) at the second park.

Hi Edith, feel free to join in with our daily ramblings. :goodvibes

I'm not sure on the exact directions as I haven't been to Gibraltar yet but I've been told it's very easy to find, and not too far to walk. You could always follow the cruisers getting off the ship with empty suitcases going to stock up on booze. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

I am sure Marilyn or Noel will be along soon, I think they now where it is.

It must just be Lee then but he is a nightmare! He always packs waayyyy too much and empties his clothes everywhere trying to decide what to take.

I am sure that it will be widely accepted as it has the Mastercard symbol on it. :thumbsup2

So glad I helped you and Virgin came up trumps Susie...my pleasure.

Welcome to Deck 6 and make sure that you bring your dancing shoes.

The clothes have been packed and repacked so many times Claire ;) He is making sure he has plenty. But he was so easy to buy for, knew what he wanted. When we saw it we bought it.

I think it will too:goodvibes Plus it's a slightly better rate then buying cash.

Fab news Susie. Felt so sad for you yesterday.

:woohoo: :woohoo: welcome to deck 6 Susie, you're our neighbours :cool1:

Dennis survived the night. I told him to tell the boss he'll have internet access during the trip. I didn't tell him it's ungodly expensive. He can deal with that.

Tell me about the Euro FairFX card. I assume it's like a cash card - put money on, use it like a credit card til the money runs out. Does anyone know if we can get them in the States? Maybe from a bank here? I hate carrying cash, so that sounds like my kind of thing.

Glad to see everyone is getting the cabins they want. We'll stay in the "quiet zone," on 5 aft, but we'll be up to join the conga line with you! I like where we are - it's easy to find, especially late in the evening! ;)

Oh, yeah, the FE exchange. I think Aug 1 sounds like a good cut-off date. What does everyone else think? We have about 25 cabins signed up so far. Let me know, and I'll update the post on pg 1.

Okay, off to wash the doggies!
