Sam & Randy's Disneyland Escape April Wedding.

Ahhh! I just went back and read your most recent post and congrats! I'm so excited that you chose to stick with the plan and that you chose Disneyland! Yay for 2013 Disneyland Brides! Can't wait to hear all of your details as you plan!

I feel so lame, being this far out I havent really done anything new, and seeing some of the other pjs make me feel so behind :P. I'm pretty much all over the place though I'm getting that itch again to go look at wedding dresses, unfortunately I have to wait for my mommy to get back into town, and I swore I at least wanted to drop 10 pounds before I tried on dresses again, I'm down six, so only four more to go!

In other news We're thinking about doing the wishes AGAIN just because I told Randy I didnt want to have to pick and choose family members, but I just couldn't invite ONE cousin and ONE Aunt and not the others, even if they don't show. So with that we got rid of our WDW honeymoon idea and traded it for a Disneyland/California one, which is okay with me, I adore California. So we're just going to save WDW for our one year.

Either way, I think I've decided on a hair style for the wedding, I thought I wanted an updo, but I have something against the back of my neck as well as my forehead, and in this current point in time with the weight I have in my face, pulling my hair back make me face look entirely TOO round for my likely. Either way, I'll stop babbling now before you all decide to never read my pj again.

OH by the way, last week I saw Winnie the Pooh, and if you haven't I would recommend it, it was really cute. DF was a trooper he sat through it with me with no complaint.

Now time for something completely different!

I really like curls and this hair color actually. I've always wanted to be a red head. Ironically my mom was a curly haired red head.. But I got straight and dark brown. My hair is dyed close to this color currently and I think I might keep it this color for the wedding, but I'm not really sure.

My grandmother says I'm too pale for my dark hair and it doesnt look good with the wedding dresses. Would you ladies dye your hair a different color for your big day if it looked better?

OH and I also found this potential cake topper while checking out party city before the Pooh Movie

That's all for now hopefully things will pick up in the next couple months, I've got the wedding fever..

I looove the hair! However--- and this is my personal opinion--- I wouldn't want to dye my hair a different color for my wedding day. I really think you should look like yourself for your wedding day. I'm actually in the process of getting my normal hair color back--- and it's driving me crazy and I really miss my blonde highlights!!!!--- but I think it will be worth it to be a brunette on my wedding day. Just my two cents. :D

If you want to try out different hair colors I would suggest starting now so you can see if you like it and want to keep it up. I've been highlighting and or dying my hair for well over 10 years. I have a boring light brown color with no life to it so for years I went with blond highlights. In my heart I always wanted dark red but was too chicken to go for it. One day finally I did and loved it. (And when I see pic's of me more blond I think what the heck was I thinking). I've been dying it that color for a few years now and it's the color I had when I met my DF. He says s one of the reasons he talked to me is he loves redheads and thought it was natural :rolleyes1. So, I of course plan to dye it for the wedding.

OMG I love love love that hairstyle! Fanstastic! I am a huge fan of dying my hair; I honestly don't even know what my natural hair color is anymore:rotfl: However, DF likes it when my hair is darker, and I like it when its lighter, so I'll probably do brown with highlights for a happy medium! If you do decide to dye it red, make sure you do it well before the wedding to make sure everything turns out okay!

You are not behind at all! No worries! The only reason I have so much done is because I can really only do major planning during the summers since I'm in grad school.

When are you planning on buying your dress? I'm not sure when I should start my dress shopping...

Yeah Im a tad worried I'll regret not being my natural color for my wedding, Whatever that color is Haha.

Your DF has good taste! I love redheads too, unfortunatly my DF only can grow a red goatee, other than that his hair starts blonde and turns brown when it gets long. I'm glad you made the jump! Deep Red is such a beautiful color

Totally, my hair is actually kind of crappy right now because I did it myself and I did have brownish/black from when my hair was black and purple so i didnt get all the black bleached as light as possible, I got a firey red that turns to a coppery/brown red at the bottom. I told DF that I am NEVER doing coppery red on my own again.

As far as wedding dresses go, I think it depends I have my eye on one at Davids I want to go wiggle myself back in to see how it feels. I started looking I think in May? and I was so overwhelmed that i don't think i took the time to really concentrate and I'm not very happy with myself(weight wise) or an enthuastic person in the first place (Natural born Eeyore). I think if I end up loving the dress I'll get it sometime now or October depending on when my momma can get it for me since I wouldnt want it to be discontinued but if I'm not feeling it, then I'll probably wait until just before the one year mark to get some more weight off.

They say getting it to early can be a problem because you might not be happy with it, but I figure if you REALLY love the dress and your sure of yourself then you won't shop anymore. I also think that when your hands are tied with Disney or timelines it can ease some of the wedding fever.

Yeah, Anyway sorry for the long analysis on that one I have enitrely too much time on my hands. :lmao:

Okay Okay Okay, So in my quest to entertain myself on another one of my MANY boring days I was searching and came across a stroke of genius I tell you! GENIUS :scared1: Thats the face I want you all to make..even if it's scared? I was going more to Awe and anticipation, but oh well. OH I guess this one works better.. So as long as your making one of two faces...

ANYWAY.

Considering we've changed to a wishes wedding on account of if I invite One Uncle/Aunt/cousin ALL must follow and it sorta follows the If You give a mouse/moose a cookie/muffin effect (Bleh! ) Either way all that said and done, I love the Rose Court Garden (Who doesn't) So thats Hopefully where we will be saying our vows, SO I've been wracking my brain on how to decorate something like the Rose Court Garden/Reception with as little money as possible which should be too hard considering the RCG is beautiful.

So I got the idea to use those flower balls Yeah whatever they're called I call em' flower balls so while searching I found these!

SCHWEET.jpg

Whcih are pretty sweet! Then I realized that considering I'd like to get married in the morning those won't really work for me. But I thought I'd share and then I realized that I could take one of those Mossy Balls exhibit A

mossball.jpg

and decorate it with red roses and slap a black/white ribbon on it and TAH-DA

I also found this
bevfabriccrafts_2167_288051392.jpg

Which I'd love to do something with.

Okay so it's no going to change the ways of the world genius, but I was pretty excited :hyper: Does anyone know about Disneyland policies on bringing your own decorations? I know sometimes they won't touch them, or sometimes you have to pay a fee but Honestly I'd rather do that then try and buy too expensive floral.

Hi! Just chiming in! I love all your plans and ideas! Very beautiful and very classy!

We were torn between an Escape wedding and a Wishes wedding as well. DF and I sat down and came up with a list of people that we HAD to have there. That list came to 20 people, since Escape weddings are Bride + Groom + 18 guests we realized we were over our people budget for an Escape wedding. So, Wishes it was!

Our wedding is at WDW, so I'm not sure how it compares to DL. But I'm happy to send you our BEO and Price Sheet, if you are interested. Our total is at $10,046 and we have 28 guests (including ourselves). So, it can be done! The only thing we do not have is the carriage.

Best of luck with your family and your plans! I'm subscribing!

So obviously I haven't posted in awhile... In November I pretty much lost my wedding planning mojo, I wasn't really sure if we had the money, things were looking bleak and I got pretty much sick of stressing about all things wedding. It wasn't until the anniversary of our engagement rolled around that I picked back up with my wedding planning, thank you My fair wedding! Though this time everything seemed a little bit more stable and for sure.

Again DF and I looked over the packages, and I even looked a places all over Arizona, but I pretty much hate the desert and wanted it to have no part in my wedding. We made the final decision to have an Escape wedding at Disneyland.

So here is the official new deets.

What? Escape Wedding
Where? Disneyland.
When? April 29th, 2013.
Bridesmaids- Melissa, Ashley
MOH- Whitney
Groomsmen- Brendan, Phil
Best Man- Undecided.
Theme- Fairytale/ Cinderella.
Colors- Lavender, Blue, Silver, White and Maybe Coral.

I ended up basing my theme around my dress, Up until two months ago I was still set on "Queen of Hearts" but when I found my dress I thought it was entirely too princessy for that theme. On top of that I wanted to take advantage of the spring colors. princess: But anyway! I'm back and reading to go back to planning My Happily ever after.

Welcome Back!!

I know how it feels to lose steam and stop wedding planning, especially when finance issues kick in. I have done that multiple times myself. Looks like you are on the ball now and for good though!! So excited to see what comes up from here :D

Ha, Thank you! Sometimes it just gets frustrating seeing how much everything costs and then knowing, Oh hey. I'm broke... Cool.

So Last night, I wrote this whole long adventure about how I found my dress, then it kicked me off and I lost everything.. So I'm going turn a three paragraph story into a few lines. Basically I fell in love with the new Belle dress but knew 1500 was a little bit more then I wanted to spend, so looking around quite depressed Only to fall in love with the most beautiful dress I'd ever seen.. for the second time. I fell in love with a dress I had tried on over a year ago, and had liked it but wasn't really sure how I felt about it.

It needs to be taken in a lot in the waist. Though I'm hoping to lose a little bit more weight before I do the alterations.

This my amazing tiara that my mom bought me, pictures don't do it justice. It sparkles like WOAH.

My Glass slippers... The cops better be waiting after the Wedding is over, because those things are going to MURDER my feet. Lame joke? Naaawwwh.
