Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

The CP pictures were awfully cute, especially the mac n cheese grinner! Brooklynn sure is growing up if she is waving a flag and parading around with the big kids!

So funny about Jarvis's mom and the Prime Rib! I'm taking some baggies with me from now on! I have been inspired.:goodvibes

Shocker is going to have an announcement over on his thread this evening!
:yay:

You can keep the snow and ice up your way this time, MeMom. I don't want any more. I still have some stockpiled in the freezer.

We are supposed to get it Wednesday night and into early Thursday morning, then sending it east....

The CP pictures are so cute! Looks like Bella learned young to smile for her Memom.:cutie:
I can she enjoyed the Mac' and Cheese and the it enjoyed her face too.:rotfl:
Sorry to hear about Tigger! We were rushed with him and Pooh in UK when there was no one there!

So you are doing a park, after all. One day at Magic Kingdom? Have I missed out on your latest plans? Keep me updated. SometimesI don't realize people have pre-trip or trip reports for forever!

We are doing the volunteer a day for tickets so all we have to buy is Emily. One day at MK... although tonight Doug was saying how hard it will be to do everything in one day. There is no trip report or pretrip report... it would be pretty boring. Maybe I will do a trip report if we do things people would want to read about.

Laura, what volunteer program are you doing? We were thinking about making the tie blankets and donating the tickets to "Give Kids the World"...

I'm freaking out a little about the possibility of snow in the next two weeks, so if any comes this way, I'll send it to you guys. We are actually thawing out here! It was in the 50's yesterday, which felt amazing. My dad and I went to buy a Jeep yesterday, and the guy's driveway was covered in uneven ice, which was covered in water, because it was pouring out. I'm pretty sure we're getting snow this weekend, but I'm not sure how much. I hope it's not a lot because I am really enjoying seeing the ground and no more giant snowdrifts.

She's been a flag waver for a while now. She thinks you're supposed to do it in every restaurant, though.
Have napkin, will wave!

I usually just have sandwich bags for a muffin or whatever, but if you're going to do the prime rib thing, you will want to make your bags gallon-sized! :)

Yes, that was quite an announcement. I am glad our friends are going to walk around our stomping grounds in person. Very, very excited about that! :cool1:

I wouldn't be unhappy for another Friday snow day. It wouldn't last but a day, anyway, because for the most part it's been warmer here. I've got nothing special to do this weekend, so I am fine with staying in Friday and Saturday. Again, I will believe it when I see our school system scrolling along the bottom of the TV screen.

We are supposed to get it Wednesday night and into early Thursday morning, then sending it east....

Just enough for a snow day call, please. Not too much, and you can keep the really cold temperatures. We'll probably end up getting the 8 & 11 degree temps w/o the snow.

She does cheese up that smile for my little black box. I believe she purposely sticks the teeth out, because she knows I think those little bottom teeth are so darn cute. :cutie:

I'm glad that it's going to work out for you. It would be hard to be there with kids that are your kids' ages and not at least go to Magic Kingdom one day.

We most certainly do want to read about it. ::yes::
It will just be a different kind of MK visit. Everybody can plan together to get in their favorite one or two things. It'll be fun!

I am all for getting our maximum five days, which has only happened once since I have been around, but I know I would get tired of seeing snow if I lived up north. I like it being a novelty. The last I saw, they had upped us from 80% to 90% chance of snow and ice Thursday night and Friday.

After dinner, the others headed out of the park to go back to Pop. I wanted to stay and see the castle lighting and walk around and shop and just be in Magic Kingdom.

Jill shopped her way out of the park, but I don't know if she bought anything or just scoped out what she would be buying. She can fill that part in.

I went toward the castle, where Mickey and friends were debating how this lovely castle should be decorated for the holidays.

I was pretty far back, so these aren't too good, but if you have seen it in person, you can picture yourself there in non-blurry vision.

Fairy Godmother, ever the voice of reason, decided that since it was Cindy's castle, she got to choose the decor.

IMG_2288.jpg

Makes sense, huh?
The gang was agreeable to that idea.

Here's what Cindy chose.

I think Walt approved, too.

What do you guys think?

This was Main Street.

Just picture all the residents of your entire city out in your back yard and you pretty much have it.

It was now time to shop.

What Cinderella had used as her castle decorating idea.

These were also on someone's report that I was just reading within the last few days.

Beautiful castle pics! I love it all lit up! We saw it like that a couple of years ago when we were there in January but didn't see the castle lighting show part. Don't know if we just missed it both nights or if they had stopped doing that part (we were there Jan. 5-12 so the lights were getting ready to come down).

Awesome shopping pics too, as usual! I'd love to purchase some of those to bring home with me. If only I had gads of disposable income!

Happy Wednesday! It's the end of the term here in my part of the world and we start early dismissal days today for the rest of the week. Makes the days easier to get through!

Thank goodness the Fairy Godmother was there to keep everyone in line. Wonder if she ever feels like a teacher during those moments? :rotfl:

I am with Walt -- I heartily approve of Cinderella's Christmas decorating! Perhaps I should do that with our house for the holidays next year...however, it might not have quite the same aura of grandeur since ours is just a ranch home. :lmao:

You don't happen to remember how much the glass slippers were, do you? Those are so pretty.

I'm so with you on that disposable income thing.
Right now, I am making ends meet.
Sort of. :upsidedow

Yay for half-days! :dance3:
If this winter storm comes through, today could be my next to last day instead of just 'hump day'.

I'll trade places with her. She can come teach, and I'll go light up castles! :)

I don't remember. I'd love to run back down there today to find out for you, though! :drive:

I love the castle all lit up. I'm glad you got to stay around and watch the ceremony. I love that villain castle and the Main Street shops. I couldn't afford them and I wouldn't have a place to put them, but I would love to have them.

I hope you get your snow. We may get some too.

I also think Walt would approve very much of the castle! I have watched the lighting show twice in my life and each time, it always takes my breath away. It's so beautiful! :goodvibes

Those little glass slippers are adorable! Does it say $2.00/word to personalize or $200? :scared1:

I want that Main Street replica. The whole thing! I must buy it on my next trip. :lmao: It would probably cost more than my last trip though! :scared1:

I love the CP pictures!! Bella with that cute cheesy smile!:goodvibes

oh wow...I have to go in the store with the cinderella slippers!!!! Of course, I would have to leave Miss Priss outside with her daddo or we could be in trouble! :rotfl:

I love that blown glass! and every time I walk into an art store at Disney, I just want EVERTHING! Our february trip is 3 weeks away today, and i'll most likely have my Tax Return before then, that is DANGEROUS in disney!

I have to agree with you MeMom I think Walt would definitely approve! The castle looks simply stunning lit up like that!! I hope to make it to the holidays someday at Disney!!!

Hmmm...Fairy Godmother and I switching places LOL!! That would be hilarious! I'm not sure what my students would think of that!!!
