Ringing in 2010, 6 months til we'll be back again

Love the Castle pics! I'm hoping that in two years we will be able to see it! I would love to own the whole Main St. set! And those slippers are seriously cute!

This was Main Street.

Just picture all the residents of your entire city out in your back yard and you pretty much have it.

I think all those people came back on December 30 when I took that same picture! ;)

Hi all! :wave2:

Sorry I've been a miss around here....we've been going through some difficult stuff around here.

To add to the "stuff" on Sunday my dear sweet cat passed away. She will be greatly missed. RIP Mimi. :sad1:

******************************
The recent pics brought a smile to my face.
Bella is so cute with her mac & cheese face.
Brooklynn's interactions with the Characters are delightful to see.

(too bad Tigger wasn't a very gracious host) :upsidedow

Awww.....shopping pics! Just the pick me up I need!

I would love the statue of the castle!

WOW....those crowds are enormous! :eek

I'm off to work now....hope you get your 'snow day' friends. :)

I love your MK pictures! That was a sea of humanity there, wasn't it! :scared1: People everywhere!

I love looking at all those collectibles. One of these days, I would LOVE to start collecting the Main Street buildings and have that on top of my fireplace at home. :lovestruc

Oh wow!! The castle lighting is AMAZING--just beautiful!! :lovestruc And I just LOVE those 2 Jim Shore pieces!! I've never seen the castle with the villians!!

Oh my, MeMom. I HAVE to see that Castle in person. The lights are just so gorgeous on it! And I want to see that show!

I love walking through the Main Street shops. And you know I love my Jim Shore Disney statues! :goodvibes

Were those glass slippers for decoration or actual glass slippers to wear?

Great update MeMom :thumbsup2 The castle pictures are just gorgeous ! Wonderful shopping pictures , DD4 is even making her own list from your shopping pictures , she said she must have the Princess & The Frog Pin ! lol I 'm not sure where she gets this shopping habit from ?? :rotfl2:

Sounds like the perfect job. During the off-season, you can transform ordinary girls into princesses!

It's probably out of my budget anyway. :)

I wish I could afford to retire (:rotfl:) and work at Animal Kingdom in the education dept. That would be a good job for me.

I guess that's why I didn't bother to look at prices. :)

I love the castle all lit up. I'm glad you got to stay around and watch the ceremony. I love that villain castle and the Main Street shops. I couldn't afford them and I wouldn't have a place to put them, but I would love to have them.

I hope you get your snow. We may get some too.

I was happy to be there watching the castle lighting.

Fingers crossed for the snow. Every weatherman is predicting the cold is coming, but we'll just have to see how far south the precip comes.

I also think Walt would approve very much of the castle! I have watched the lighting show twice in my life and each time, it always takes my breath away. It's so beautiful! :goodvibes

Those little glass slippers are adorable! Does it say $2.00/word to personalize or $200? :scared1:

True - breathtaking is a good description.

I'll have to go back and look at the pictures. Someone who is going soo may be able to get more information.

I want that Main Street replica. The whole thing! I must buy it on my next trip. :lmao: It would probably cost more than my last trip though! :scared1:
That would be cool if you had a place to keep it out on display. It would be neat to Christmas it up in December, too.

I love your CP pics! We went on the the 30th and had a great meal and time. We had great character interaction, they even stopped by twice. I'm sorry Tigger wasn't up to par on your visit. Count me in as another one who takes a banana for a later snack.

DS and I with Memom's favorite! I like the characters too!:rotfl::rotfl:

Sorry the pics are so large.

I love the CP pictures!! Bella with that cute cheesy smile!:goodvibes

oh wow...I have to go in the store with the cinderella slippers!!!! Of course, I would have to leave Miss Priss outside with her daddo or we could be in trouble! :rotfl:

I'm nervous when I go in some of those places. I would be in a lot of trouble if I broke anything, 'cuz I surely wouldn't have the money to pay for it.

I love that blown glass! and every time I walk into an art store at Disney, I just want EVERTHING! Our february trip is 3 weeks away today, and i'll most likely have my Tax Return before then, that is DANGEROUS in disney!

It will be so nice to have some spending money on your trip! :thumbsup2

I have to agree with you MeMom I think Walt would definitely approve! The castle looks simply stunning lit up like that!! I hope to make it to the holidays someday at Disney!!!

Hmmm...Fairy Godmother and I switching places LOL!! That would be hilarious! I'm not sure what my students would think of that!!!

Are you in for the 2011 (I think) Christmas meet that wigd and CP have talked about? I can't remember who all has talked about that, but I know there had been discussion of a holiday meet next year.

Add all those buildings together and you come up with a hefty little price tag. It would be cool to have the whole Main Street set, though.

The good thing is that we only ran into big crowds a couple of times. We do the early and late hours and then just whatever we want to do midday. Since the girls swim and nap and I just stroll around taking pictures when the crowds are the worst, we really never give it much thought. Drew and I walked onto all kinds of rides late one night. We used Fastpasses for other things. Truthfully, other than it looking crazy crowded, we weren't really affected by it.

I'm sorry to hear about your kitty. I know I will be sad when my little boy is not curled up at the end of my bed at night any more.

I hope things get happier for you soon. :)

I'm glad that it's going to work out for you. It would be hard to be there with kids that are your kids' ages and not at least go to Magic Kingdom one day.

We most certainly do want to read about it. ::yes::
It will just be a different kind of MK visit. Everybody can plan together to get in their favorite one or two things. It'll be fun!

We are excited to go to MK. I think I can really be happy with one park day among four nights at the Beach Club. We have lots we want to do besides relax once we hit Walt Disney World.

We will see about the report. Things at school are really up in the air. I need to get things settled for next year before I can dream about summer and time off with my kids at WDW.

Laura, what volunteer program are you doing? We were thinking about making the tie blankets and donating the tickets to "Give Kids the World"...

Doug is doing some major type thing for the Cincinnati Blind Society... he is reading articles over the phone so people can "read" the paper. Training, etc. It is good for him...

Hannah and I are going to a child's program center for underprivilaged youth who has had a ton of funding cut and doing clerical work. I am thrilled to take her to do something that helps others... it is important.

Caught up - FINALLY!!!!

I LOVE how those 2 little girls are just not at all afraid or intimidated by the characters. Now Brooklyn I get as she has been around them so many times, but Bella!! She just shows no fear of them - like she already knows they are going to be life-long friends. Maybe it is because she is reassured by her big sister.

so pretty!!!

very cute!

oh, my goodness....i MUST have this! i'm going to look up the price right now and next time someone i know goes i will be sending money along with them!

i'm leaving in 10 days but i don;t think that will fit in my suitcase! :rotfl:

There were many, many people. I was walking around totally oblivious to most of them, though. :)

I thought you would like that.

I had not seen it before, either.

Just decorations.

You guys have never been at any of the holidays, is that right?

What a cute picture!

I like to see the characters. I love to see my girls and other little kids light up when they come around.
We are excited to go to MK. I think I can really be happy with one park day among four nights at the Beach Club. We have lots we want to do besides relax once we hit Walt Disney World.

One park would be fine for me, too. I did that one year with a friend when Jill couldn't go. We only went to Hollywood Studios, and the other days we went to resorts and DTD. We had a great time! Beach Club itself is going to be awesome for you. You can go to the Boardwalk, see some fireworks, watch the movies... I have no doubt you guys will have a full and fun time just with one park and all the rest.

I hope you can get your school worries settled and think happy summer thoughts soon.

I guess Bella just takes the cues from Brooklynn. Brook acts like the characters are best friends, so Bella follows along. Bella smiles at everybody, to be honest. She's just a smiley girl! :goodvibes

i'm leaving in 10 days but i don;t think that will fit in my suitcase! :rotfl:

Ten days!
You better be over here single digit dancing in the morning! :dance3:

Is this enough for a spring break trip?

IMG_2316.jpg

I bet you know where I am now.

IMG_2317.jpg

And then around the corner.

IMG_2318.jpg

Outside.

This is a rather large tree.

Darting back into the Emporium.

IMG_2323.jpg

Can you tell I didn't want to leave?

One more shopping picture, and then I had to make myself leave.

IMG_2324.jpg

I stopped at the train station for another look back over this wonderful place.

IMG_2327.jpg

Inside the train station.

IMG_2330.jpg

The time now.

IMG_2329.jpg

Goodbye for tonight.

IMG_2331.jpg

Back at Pop, just a few more pictures as I made my way back to the room.

Another Pop tree.

IMG_2337.jpg

Have I said how happy I was to be there?

I'm so excited for my trip next January - whether it be solo or with my husband. I'll actually get a chance to look at all of these wonderful things you post pictures of instead of feeling like I have to keep an eye on my boys constantly. ;)

Great updates and so many wonderful photos!!! Love all the shopping pics, it is so fun to window shop at WDW! I like those POP trees! So retro! :)

And you got great photos of mainstreet and the castle! I have never had dinner at CP, but it looked like fun! :thumbsup2
