Hi
i've never been to disney and we are going from Jan 5th -10th
I am going to be traveling w/an slightly over weight person and they are wondering about ride restrictions. Weve been to a few websites and couldn't find any info

So i'm looking to all you expirenced DW riders out there for some insight on weight restrictions and that sort of thing

thanks :-)

The only things I can think of that have weight restrictions are parasailing and the horseback riding at FW (250lbs). Those are the only two that come to mind.

I haven't been to WDW before but I've been to DL and CD as well as other theme parks. I'd say as long as they can sit in one seat in an airplane then they will probably be ok on the rides. The only rides that might be uncomfortable are the ones that have the have the shoulder harness.

My last trip to DL I was at my highest weight of 244 and didn't have any problems on any of the rides. In the past year I lost 35 of those pounds so I'm realy excited to be going to WDW.

You and your friend will have great time.:bounce:

OK, The the first time I went
I was 6ft and 285 lbs. size 48
waist.
I rode all the rides with no problems,
a few rides felt just a little tight but, I never felt
out of place and I had a ball.
So, don't worry, your chubby buddy will do just
fine.

At my heaviest I was about 320 and 5'7". I had no problem getting into or out of any WDW ride. I have lost about 40# and the only problem I had this trip was in the virtual rollercoaster at Disney Quest. The restraint would hit my chest...the part of my nody in shich I have lost the most inches. That was on 1 car only, I went on the ride 3 or 4 times with the CM giving a slight push 1 time and me pulling on it the other 2 or 3 times.

Hey thanks so much for the info
and that website answered all our questions

This board rocks :-)

Thanks again

trrsvp--

We're (hopefully still) going Jan 6 - Jan 14. Maybe we'll see you there!

That is cool were staying at the Boardwalk INN we check in on Jan 5 and we leave on the 10th to stay in orlando and were going to Islands of Adventure

i can't wait it coming up so fast

WDW is sensitive to people of all sizes. Just last week, DS and I were getting on R&R and there was a young woman that was very large getting ready to board. She was very anxious and asked the CM if she could ride this ride. He gave her the biggest smile and said "of course you can" You could see from her face that it just made her day!! You friend should be fine!!!
