It is humorous but the Onion is a comedy/satire site. A past article reported that the United States was going to move our capital to a new location and make it world class.
Is satire. Not thinking. But, there are numerous other posts about the incredible low cost. And the article was pretty funny. Point is, no one can tell me that the soda is more than a few cents per cup at the most. Not buying a new cup? Well, if I return, I've certainly managed to spend more than $12 at Disney, haven't I? If I'm bringin the cup back, I'm here!
And yes, around here "dinner" is the meal that happens between 11am and 1pm. I really do love it in the south overall, but it's a totally different lifestyle.
Formernyer-- I agree, here where I live (SOUTHERN Rhode Island), mid-day meal is dinner. Heaven forbid you invite/get invited to dinner and expect people at night. I'm not saying everyone does it that way, but my entire life dinner has meant "lunch" time. Living here it is very busy, most people are in a rush. I love when we hit the mid-west every summer. The people are much slower in their speaking and daily life. It is a wonderful experience and we hate the rush when we get home

As far as accents, for a state only 46 by 28 miles, we have more regional slang and accents than any state could imagine! And then they STILL laugh at my accent once I pass middle PA!
Do you return to McDonalds with that cup to refill it at a later date? I doubt it. Most restaurants offer a free refill on the single visit to the restaurant. Not on later dates.
I'd never do that since it's less than a dollar for most of the gigantic soda I've gotten at Southern/mid-Western McD'S. Not $12. However, my uncle bought a coffee cup with free refills from McD's 15+ years ago, free refills forever. He still uses it on all his trips-- probably 50+ times a year. They did keep their word and he says he's never been questioned about it.

Then again maybe they're dumbstruck and wondering if he came out of a time warp...
I just got back from CSR and bought a mug. On our mug it does NOT state anywhere that it is for that stay only. I cannot recall if it stated that on the sign, if it did it was in fine print.
And so the bottom line is, do what you understand/feel is right, but understand that the rules may have changed/been different in other circumstances. Until Disney makes a new policy or way to monitor this, it's ridiculous to be critical of others who aren't doing the blatantly wrong or offensive things.
Did I mention that I never would have had a problem staying WL CL and using the pool at the BC with my cousin's family until I came here?? I thought the $300+ per night and using another property pool was OK. Especially since I
wasn't at my own pool taking up space... Well, that's another thread
