I also closed out all other apps except for the iPhone web browser and the MDE app. The purpose behind that is to eliminate other apps sucking away processor power.

Also, the boarding groups right now literally are all gone in about 3 seconds. And basically everyone with a HS park reservation is trying to get a BG. Not all of them will get BGs. This means that every little thing you can do in order to get your phone a smidge faster than everybody else can make a difference. ESPECIALLY if you are using an older model phone. As for us, we had 2 HS park days. I wanted to maximize the possibility of getting a BG, so we did a bunch of the things recommended in this thread. It worked. May the force be with you!

BG 6 today! From my room in Pop on Disney WiFi, zero speed issues. Used time.gov (on another phone) and hit join the millisecond I saw it then 7:00:00. Yay!

Agreed. Also once you have a BG, there’s a “remove guest” option so worst case you could use that.

BG50 right at 7. I’ll take it. Last time (in the park) I didn’t get it.

Of course the ride is broken so I hope they get to 50.

Ride didn’t start until about 10:15 today, FYI. So we rode around 11am for BG6. (Definitely not as great as the first time experience but took in so much more! Plexiglass didn’t bother me at all on back row.)

At the swan, on lte, time.gov pulled up and BG 50 right at 7. Was hoping for a lower group but I’m glad we got one. Not sure if a party of 8 makes a difference in how fast you get a group but the app seemed a tad bit slow loading once I hit join the second time.

I have a family of 6 who are all under my account. If I want multiple people trying can we all be logged in and trying under the same account or do they need to make their own accounts? Wondered if that would actually slow it down.

I tried once recently and didn’t get it. Figured as it was my first time. It wasn’t quick loading the screen with family. Do people with bigger families also have this issue? Hopefully it was a one time thing

Everyone can try under one account and people will large groups have gotten into a bg, the size of the group doesn't matter. Make sure your app is up to date

I tried at home and failed. We were able to get a BG pre-covid last January, but this time it seemed to be filled SO much faster. I am a bit worried that our phones aren't quick enough.

How old are your phones? People reporting here it’s almost impossible to get a BG with an iPhone 6.

Yes, with shorter hours and social distancing, it can be a lot more difficult right now. What phone models do you have?

I have an iphone SE and have a 100% success rate, including 2-3 times after the reopen when it was probably gone in seconds. My mom, with a newer iphone, has never managed to beat me to it.
