Good sunny Saturday morning all. Going to 60 today, 75 tomorrow and Monday with rain on Monday. Then back to 48 the rest of the week. Going to get my seeds started this weekend, so I can hopefully have the garden ready by Memorial Day or a week earlier.

Our one remaining fish went to the big pond in the sky overnite. Usually its right by the front of the tank, watching me for food..this morning I found him upside down on the bottom of the tank :( I am sad he's gone, but glad I have my whole bureau back again. The tank was sitting on top of it. And I no longer have to clean the tank, or the filter, or feed it, etc...We only had fish because a ditzy neighbor about 7 years ago, moved out and left the tank just sitting there with fish in it..unplugged, no food, no lights, nothing. The guy who came to clean the house out, came to me with it and asked me to take care of it. So I did,,that was a LONG time ago. We since added more fish, who all died, and Oscar was the one remaining fish.

Already cleaned up from the fish tank, stripped and remade the bed, did dishes, and fixed Mr L's breakfast. Going to sit and relax for awhile..until it's warmed up enough outside to go walk around

Have a nice morning all

That was nice of you to take on the fish, Lynn! I would love to have a big fish tank, but the one time we had a small one it didn’t go too well. (We used to call it Boston Harbor!) I’d have to hire a service to care for it, lol. I don’t really have a spot for one, either. There is one in a restaurant we go to that I admire all the time.

Beautiful cat, PollyannaMom! I saw a funny video on IG the other day. A cat was watching an eagle on a big screen TV, when it menacingly came toward the camera. The cat freaked out and ran off! Animal videos usually make my day. I can get lost in Reels for a while.

We had garlic chicken and pasta from Aldi’s last night. It is very good for a commercial frozen product, we all enjoyed it. (I have found most of their stuff to be really good.) Will have to get some more to keep on hand for a quick meal. We have chicken marinating in Italian dressing that we need to cook later. I am also craving the mushroom raviolis with the mushroom cream sauce (w onions, garlic, spinach, mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes) again after I saw my own picture of it last night - maybe tomorrow or Monday. Also going to make a banana bread with some ripe bananas, and maybe some brownies (that someone mentioned here the other day and I’ve been craving since). Aldi’s brownie mix is fantastic, and just $1/box. I keep them on hand to bring into work sometimes. (Costs of things are really rising quickly now in many places! Ugh!)

Enjoy your Saturday, everyone! 🐥

Good morning.

Holderness Family just posted their last Amazing Race recap so will watch that soon. Getting little things done like scan two pictures my brother wanted and email them to him.

Mid afternoon, DD and family, including the dog, are coming up to visit. They all like to play in our bigger yard. We need to discuss WDW, Decided on a pot luck, throw together, dinner. DD is bringing her own meat for the grill , pasta salad, and asparagus. I am making deviled eggs and have our own meat for the grill. Might be a little cool, supposed to be 54, but the kids won't mind. Maybe start a fire in the pit.

Monday is supposed to be 75 and then snow showers predicted for Wednesday and Thursday.:confused3

Good Morning everyone,

That is a great picture of your cat, PollyannaMom! She looks completely engrossed by the video! So funny :)

I'm sorry about your fish, Lynn. I had a goldfish as a kid named Starky who I became very attached too. I'm glad you have a small break in the weather to look forward too!

Costs are indeed rising everywhere, Pea :( Carol posted those yummy looking brownies! I hope you do enjoy some yourself :)

That sounds like a fun visit Carol. Time with the grands and grand dog plus an in person opportunity to WDW plan, as well ::MickeyMo

It's cool and gray here. I'm cold and will probably be putting my nightshirt on shortly. Dad, I'm glad says he's fine. We have Old Navy Super Cash to use. Dad went to ON but didn't find much, I'll look online. We have 2 codes for $10 off $25. I am not sure we will even be using one. If any of you would like a code for an online order (it expires after tomorrow) PM me.

Have a Good Saturday, friends and stay warm!

Happy Saturday. It's a beautiful day today....blue sky with big puffy white clouds, especially after two days of grey, drizzly sky

DH and his coworker walked to a little place up the street for dinner and a couple drinks last night after work to celebrate getting the hard, physical work done sooner than expected. So I took the car and went to check out Dollar Tree and Target. Both were disappointing...first time at that specific DT and it was a mess...they still had Valentine's Day stuff out with no St Patty's Day or Easter stuff. LOL So I moved on to Target, which was also not the greatest. Like our closest Target at home, its an older one so really cramped and just messy. I've been to that location before but it was closest to where we are and I didn't have to get on the freeway(Friday night traffic) to get there. DH decided he wanted to stick around the hotel today, do some laundry and just relax so I may take the car again to head to the other Target. I know it's newer and much nicer than the one I went to last night. Maybe I can find another Dollar Tree too. LOL I don't really need anything, I just like to look around and see if anything catches my eye. Yesterday, I just bought a bunch of snacks for the room, I probably should've eaten something before I went. LoL

Our one remaining fish went to the big pond in the sky overnite.
Sorry to hear that...that was so nice of you to keep him. We had a goldfish DD won at the fair for YEARS. Over the years, we had others with him in the tank and they all would eventually die, but that little guy(Goalie was his name...lol) just kept swimming. LoL That thing was so huge when it died, he seriously looked like a koi fish. We had to bury him in the backyard.

@PollyannaMom cute pics....I have a pic from years ago of DD and one of my mom's dogs watching TV. The dog was sitting like a person right next to DD and is totally into whatever they were watching....

Animal videos usually make my day. I can get lost in Reels for a while.
DD and I constantly send funny animal videos back and forth to each other on Instagram.

Sorry about your fish Lynn. It was nice of you to take on caring for the fish when the neighbor was so irresponsible.

I was at the house for awhile this morning. I fed the birds, vacuumed and dusted 2 of the bedrooms, vacuumed the bathroom and swiffered the floor, vacuumed the kitchen and swiffered the floor, and washed the countertops and appliances. I am getting ready for the stager this coming week. Tomorrow I go back to do the living room, hallway, stairs, and sunroom. I have to vacuum and dust. I know she is going to suggest that I remove more stuff but I am not going to. I already told her what is in the house stays and goes when the movers take it. I don't think she likes me but I am not concerned about that. My house, period. I feel like I have taken a couple of steps backward lately because the sale of the house is right here now. It is hard. Once I find my own place I will hopefully be able to move a bit forward and take care of myself a bit. Tomorrow both sons will be at the house doing finishing touches and younger DS and DDIL are bringing the grandkids for one last look at the house. I know I will cry as my memories of the grandkids at the house involve Chris running around playing with them. I also remember them playing ball with Jasper. I really wonder how older DGD is going to react to being at the house. She misses her Grandpa and I don't know if she will be upset or not.

After the house I went to younger DS's house to watch the 2 younger grandkids so DS could go with DDIL and older DGD to her basketball game. He hasn't been yet so I offered to watch the younger ones so he could go. We played Raccoon Rumbus, Robot Rummy, read books, and they ate snacks.

Have a good rest of the day.

Good Morning. It is rainy, a bit foggy, and 36 degrees. It is going up to the upper 50s today. The ground around here is turning to mud as the snow melts and the rain hits it.

Have a good Sunday.

No rain at the moment here, but we do have the fog, and are supposed to get the rain a bit later. It's already 46° and expected to get to 63°!

We have a few things to do around the house, then we're going over to DH's folks' house for dinner and games. :)

Good Springlike morning. Like @pollyanna Mom,,we are in the upper 40's already where it stayed all night..and we are going to mid 70's today and tomorrow ,,with rain tomorrow. Like @Snowysmom,,our ground will turn back to mud again.

No plans for the day except to get outside and enjoy the weather. Maybe I can get Mr L to go for a ride somewhere,,just to get him out of the house.

Have a nice day everyone

Todays word of the day: Humid! No complaints here. It's cool, damp and drizzling on occasion, but you can really feel the humidity in the air.
Spent yesterday mid-day mattress shopping...decided on one and once I get over the cost I'll call the salesman back and pull the trigger....yikes I hope that it lives up to the hype! It's a 12 week lead time for delivery as supposedly they make them to order. Decided we would also go up to a king from a queen. Also picked up 50 lbs of grass seed and a few other odds & ends. We are re-doing the entire front yard, brought in several loads of topsoil and are reseeding it again. Today I'm doing some household chores then moving outside to do some work in my stumpery and side yard clean up. Trying to decide on stew or stuffed shells for dinner.

Stuffed shells.....hmmm.......haven't done in many years but I like them. DD got takeout from Texas de Brazil over in Fairfax. So we will have that for a leftovers dinner tonight. It was all very good last night and I had a piece of the bacon wrapped chicken for a snack just a few minutes ago. She loves the picanha but I will eat only a bit of that.

Maybe I'll try stuffed shells before the week is out.

Waving Good Morning from here,

it was sure a cozy blessing to put my comforter on early this morning. Chilly! cool with some sunshine this morning. I hope it will really go back 80 in a week. Much prefer the warmer weather. I've still been enjoying some good books and just had some tasty hot chocolate, too.

We did place an Old Navy Order. For just over $40 (after using the $20 in Super Cash--over the $50+ original price)+ savings) dad got himself two pairs of pants and a T shirt. i got one long sleeve shirt. Good deal indeed! We are grateful and look forward to the package coming.

I will watch worship a little later and as always look forward to that.

Extra Gratitude from yesterday: Dad did stay home all day (he's planning to do the same today), talking and texting with friends, and more happy snail mail.

Have a good Sunday, friends. I'll check back in later :)

Gratitude for today - that the cat "made" me come outside. (I thought it was still raining until she started incessantly meowing, but the birds are singing and the sun even peaked out a little bit!)

Also, MIL invited us over for dinner, which means I don't have to cook!

Gratitude for today: Covid is getting better here at last. Restrictions have been lifted. Praying that the downward trend continues and that by God's added Grace upon Grace, sometime this year I'll be able to get out a bit. I am going to be VERY cautious and absolutely not rush out there anytime soon. Just knowing that I could is heartwarming and cause for extra thanksgiving!

I am also grateful this afternoon is a dash warmer than yesterday. This morning dad and I enjoyed watching a DVR-ed House Hunters.

Busy day today. I went to the house and vacuumed, swiffered, and dusted some more. The grandkids came over. They were happy to be at the house even with it having less stuff in it. They rode their little riding toys around, I got some munchkins for them, and they did some drawing. Then they went to their other grandparents house. It went well and I felt Chris' presence and knew he was enjoying the kids. Older DS put in a new threshold, new switch plate, and bought an inexpensive new light fixture for the kitchen. The old one was a mess. He shut off the main breaker. When he went to put it on again it would not stay in the on position. I was so frustrated at that. One more thing to deal with. I called the electrician to get in the queue for tomorrow. Then younger DS called a friend who is an electrician. He came over, they went out to get a new breaker, he installed it, and I had light! I was so relieved and it reduced my anxiety alot. I asked him how much to pay and he was very reasonable. I thanked him so much. I called back the electrician and told him I was all set. And the new kitchen light works and looks so much better.

I did go to see the condo I tried to get an appt for, at the open house. It is not one for me. I liked the upstairs but the kitchen and living area were so small. The kitchen overwhelmed any living room space. Plus the bottom level was just storage, no family room. You could finish it. It is not worth any more than they are asking for it. But, I suspect there will be a bit of a bidding war. It is too far north for me too. Younger DDIL came with me and she said the same things I did.

On the signs from Chris front: I walked down my walkway to the house, opened the door, and got seed for the birds. I saw nothing unusual on the walkway. After I fed the birds, I found a red guitar pick on the walkway. It was so obvious and stood out. Chris played guitar. I told Chris, I don't get pennies from heaven, but guitar picks from heaven.

Have a nice evening.

Quiet here today.

It warmed up some today but windy with showers on and off.

Last night was fun with the grands. They have so much energy and they wear me out.

Went to church today and it was almost like pre-pandemic. No masks, no roped off pews, more people than have been there in 2 years, and communion served at the rail. It was nice.

After church we went to Target. The pastor had mentions a 40 day devotional book that sounded good to went and got that. And went to the $1- $3 section at the front and picked up some car surprises for the kids when they drive to WDW in August. I may have gone overboard. Looked at swim suits then came home and ordered a bunch online and will return what I don't like.

Dinner was chicken on the Foreman grill, left over asparagus, and I made DH and single serve of mashed potatoes.

Gratitude - going to an almost normal church service today.

:grouphug:Snowysmom, praise God extra for a positive grandkid memory at the house today. I'm truly so thankful my friend you got to enjoy that experience. What a kind friend, too. I love it! God did not want you to miss His extra Grace that He, of course forever, and Chris as well were both extra with you in that moment!

:cheer2:What a wonderful share, Carol! I am so humbly thankful to the good Lord that Covid is indeed getting so much better and that you got to experience church as it ought to be. Hooray always for grandkid time, too. What is the name of the devotional? I would appreciate being able to look into it. Thank you, my friend.

Wishing everyone a sweet good night.

Good morning. It is 50 degrees right now. Rain is expected later. I will try to get a walk in after work before it rains.

It is a busy week this week with the house going on the market. After this week hopefully it will calm down a bit and then there will be other things to do like finding a place to live. Always something going on.

Have a nice day.
