@tazdev3225, so many prayers going out! Lots of love for your photos, too.
Another quick stop-in...I'm beat. It's been a long time since we had this much activity. The Yard Goats game was fun! They didn't get to do the on-field parade, must be something to do with the pandemic because "they can't have people on the field right now," but they did do a shout-out on the Jumbotron. Josh's coach and his family had the seats next to us, and I think we were the only ones from Josh's team there. Most of the tee ball kids that were there were from the Dick's Sporting Goods team. It's amazing how those cheap $10 tickets turned into such an expensive night, between the food and souvenirs (Josh wanted a foam finger and a stuffed "Chompers" mascot stuffie)

Parking in Hartford made me extremely nervous, but right across from the stadium, which is immediately off the highway in the first place, a private business was offering $5 parking. We stayed until the middle of the ninth, when the Flying Squirrels retook the lead - and it was 10:30 anyway. DH looked up their schedule and he's going to invite his brother to go to a game with him and Josh soon.
Saturday morning we had to get up and go to our baseball fields for Josh's tee ball picture and awards. He must have smiled nicely because the photographer only took one photo of him, but the other kids needed about 3 tries. Then we had to stand around for several minutes waiting for the team photo because there's always one person who is 20-30 minutes late. And of course that's the kid that couldn't/wouldn't stand still...he kept jumping around, making funny faces, pulling his hair in front of his eyes, etc.

For his award, Josh received a medal and his coach gave everyone a signed baseball. A little after we got home, he sent out a text that he is arranging a tour of one of the fire houses (since our team was the Firefighters Local) and he wants everyone to wear their jerseys so we can take a team photo on one of the trucks. We are excited for that!
Then we had Josh's friend's birthday party in the late afternoon. Actually a combined party for his friend and the friend's sister; their birthdays are about a week apart (but he's 6 and his sister is 3). Josh immediately took off for the bouncy house with all the other boys, and then they had a water gun battle. He got in their pool for a bit, but even with his swimmies/floaties on, he wouldn't let go of the ladder, except when he took a ride on the unicorn float. At one point he did fall off and into the water, and I know he was stunned, but I tried to encourage him that his floaties brought him right back up, he couldn't sink...didn't help. He also surprised us by eating all of the food offered to him, even his entire cupcake (he normally eats only the frosting, but one of his friend's moms has a cake business and makes everything from scratch. So yummy!). We were at the party for 4 hours, and it was so hard to get him to leave. We were exhausted, honestly. We only live 5 minutes apart, it's not like we'll never go there again (and they can come to our house, too)!
Josh and DH are sleeping over at my MIL's house tonight, so I'm looking forward to a bit of a break. Working on some more sign crafts to sell at our tag sale at the end of the week, just to see if anyone is interested. I'm a little upset with myself because I thought we didn't have that much stuff to sell, but we had more boxes in the basement than I thought. I didn't want to get this deep into it. Also need to redo my nails. I might take some toys to Once Upon a Child tomorrow, since Josh won't be here.
