@AuntieMe3 what kind of dog is he? I understand how you feel. I never rushed into that type of surgery for my dogs. Sometimes just with time and quiet they feel better on their own. Hugs
@Pea-n-Me He's a German Shepard...he's a big boy and not very active. I'm hoping it's nothing but a pulled muscle or something that will get better on its own.
Ah! I’ve had a lot of German Shepherds! They’re always limping over something! Spent tons of money at vets until I learned to give it a little time.@Pea-n-Me He's a German Shepard...he's a big boy and not very active. HI all and Happy Monday!
I'm sorry I missed yesterday. I was just really in a funk and my husband was not doing too great so we just really kind of retreated from the world. BUT today is word of good news...our friend is awake and alert! We got some great pictures of him talking and knowing what's going on and talking football smack. Such a relief. It's weird how things sneak up bite us on the butt when we think we have put it to bed or not thinking it needs to be acknowledged.
So glad to hear that all of our extra prayers helped your friend. It's understandable that you guys needed a break from the world. Glad that today is better for you!
I see lots good news happening with Anniversaries, baby born and possibly a/c installed. Lynn planted enough for all of us it seems and we are all sending thoughts for Auntie's dog to get better.
LOL you got that right. We will have fresh veggies coming out of our ears by the end of July/beginning of August I hope--will be glad to share!
I had a second job interview this afternoon. I'm not sure how I feel about even returning to work full time but they are very upfront about work life balance and trying to leave work on desk and not bring it home. I appreciate that completely. I'm worried about how I'm going to start treatment and work and juggle being with people with my immune system being disrupted. Life never just easy, is it?
Let your heart and your health determine if you want to go back full time at all. Take it a day at a time, till your health straightened back out
Dinner tonight is BLTAs and soup with some fruit salad.
We made chicken salad from last nite's slow cooker chicken, had that over lettuce with tomatoes, cottage cheese, fresh strawberries and blueberries, it was good!
Gratitude:
Time with Matt. As much as he aggravates me, and that is so much, he is my heart and I spent so long without him. Being able to curl up and watch tv and just be is a blessing that many he deployed with over years doesn't have.
He really sounds like such a sweetie. So is my hubby, and as aggravated as I am at having him working at home 24/7, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. He was tired of my having an old tracfone as my cell phone, and today we went to the phone store and came home with 2 brand new phones..whoo hoo!
Good carrot cake. Sometimes piece and cake and cup coffee really helps things. I'm not sure when I turned into my grandparents..
mmm to the carrot cake..never had a sip of coffee in my life, so I'll take your word on that part of it, lol!
Another employment prospect. I'm lucky to have skills needed and blessed to pick and chose when I work.
You are indeed lucky, especially with all the unlucky ones who are out of jobs now, or will be due to small businesses closing left and right
Peace and good health to all
I don't want to be on a team at all.
But, if I had to be, I would want to be the best player.
Dinner tonight is chicken tortilla soup
His name is Buddy and I'm waiting for the call to come pick him up.AuntieMe3 and to your other dog, too. What is his name? (Dog at vet)? Keeping all of you in prayer. ETA: I thought of Champ as my doggie son, too, totally get that!
He has definitely been, as we like to affectionately call him, a lemon. That's why he loves his vet so much because he sees him A LOT. Thankfully our vet is not in it for the money(like our last vet was), he has the kind of wait and see how he does with the less expensive option before we proceed with something pricy and evasive. Anyway, hubby and I were talking about what we'll do depending on what they say...if surgery is an option, we will do a wait and see approach as long as our boy isn't in pain.Ah! Same for me....lol I don't want to be on a team...I am not very sporty. In school PE, during dodgeball, I would intentionally get out first so I didn't have to play.I don't want to be on a team at all.
But, if I had to be, I would want to be the best player.
Nice name! Congratulations!Tina, glad your friend is better.
I am too tired to think about that question. I am not competitive so it's a hard one.
Long, exciting day yesterday. Carter arrived at 11:34 am. Didn't hear his name until after 3 when we coordinated DD's recovery with DGD's nap. They Facetimed and I am not sure DGD knew what to think. Then we headed out to tell MIL, Carter was her father's name. Had a DQ stop and pizza for dinner. Can't wait to hold Carter but that could be a while. I should be able to see him when we take DGD home though.
Hope you all are well. I put this on the prayer chain at church and people were so glad to hear good news for a change. I'll be back when I can.
Gratitude:
Carter, healthy baby and healthy mom. And that's enough.
