Today is my wedding anniversary. We've been married 23 years today. ❤ We've done absolutely nothing today to celebrate.. We usually go somewhere for our anniversary but since we can't do that right now, we've enjoyed the day being home and doing nothing. ::yes:: We'll probably order something for dinner tonight, just haven't decided what yet.

Congratulations!
Most of our restaurants are now open, but you won't find me there for awhile still.
Pick up or delivery sounds good to me.....as long as you don't have to cook

Congrats to your 23 years of wedded bliss...or misery, depending on your POV. :rotfl:

We ordered Panera for lunch (I had chicken tortilla soup..which was decent but not fantastic; and the Southwest chile lime ranch salad with chicken...which was a good salad, but missing the chile and the lime; DS had his usual grilled cheese....they make the best he says; DH went with French onion soup and a toasted steak & white cheddar sandwich, he really wishes they would bring the bacon tomato grilled cheese back to our area). Dinner was fend for yourself; I had a bowl of ice cream. :rotfl2: Hey, I needed the dairy!

I accomplished...nothing. I didn't do laundry, I didn't put away dishes, I didn't vacuum. I spent the day going from my computer (gaming/Hulu), to my bedroom (puzzles/Hulu), to my computer (puzzles/Hulu). I did manage to shower and shave and that was my goal for the day. :teeth:

Today was a beautiful day here also. My husband was able to sit outside for the very first time, and lasted about 2 hours or so. I’m very grateful. His sister and my nephew came by the backyard, and just spoke at length for about 30 minutes. I think it did everyone good. I washed everything, and hung it outside, Lysol’ed everything Inside. 😀

Looks like beautiful weather for the week, sure hope it stays that way.

A lovely day, blessings to share. :flower:

Thank you everyone for the anniversary wishes. ❤

@Breezy_Carol soo exciting....congratulations on the upcoming arrival and hope you have a great time with your DGD.

@Meriweather Restaurants aren't open yet but practically everything else is and it's all been soo much more crowded lately. I'm not ready to be out any more than I already have to be so restaurants will be a long while off for us too.

@Bianca and Bernard its been mostly wedded bliss but that might have to do with him being deployed with the military in our early years and traveling for work more recently. :lmao: And your day sounds like our day....we sat on the couch and then the back porch back to the couch to watch terrible movies Hubby picked out on Hulu.

Bianca and Bernard, how I love that you enjoyed ice cream for dinner, good for you! 🍨 My Grandma, must have been looking down on you from Heaven and smiling as she often did the same thing! :) Grilled cheese (but VERY plain and simple) is one of my favorites. I am glad to hear you enjoyed some time off today, we all need to take care extra right now of our spirits.

Hug, Mommasita and Praise God, your husband was able to do that, what a Blessing indeed. You both are in my prayers.

Thank you from me, too, Gwynne for your kindness to me and on here in general. I'd enjoy PM-ing again sometime with you :)

I am truly so extra Blessed this Sunday. God works in most beautiful, perfect, and mysterious way. A dear friend from church has been asking me if there was any hard to find item either my Dad or I needed. She knows I am not able to go out at all right now (health reasons do not allow me to wear any type of face covering so I do my part and stay home) I had mentioned how hard it is becoming to find something as seemingly simple as Campbell's Chicken Broth, just the plain condensed can of broth. Within a couple hours tops (I had thanked her repeatedly and also insisted that should she ever find the soup, I would meet her closer to where she lives and she could just put whatever she got in my trunk. I would have had a card with money inside my trunk for her to find). I received a delivery from God courtesy of this kind lady's daughter of 18 cans of soup! I am Blessed with perfect hearing but lol her daughter probably was instructed to tiptoe as she dropped off the bag of soup because I sure did not hear her! I know this was done so I could not leave any money. Made the whole thing even kinder. My friend said to think of it as a belated birthday gift. I will be sending them both snail mail cards of great thanks.

Other things I was most thankful for today are:

Being able to briefly turn on the A/C!
Online Worship service that included some lovely shots of different areas of my church including various Crosses in it.

:grouphug: to all and may each of you truly know you make a difference to so many and one way is the kindness you share and encourage on here. Thank you!

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend :flower3: We got our yard work done yesterday and flowers planted. It was good to be outside and we enjoyed the sunshine. It felt great to tidy up some shrubs that had got a bit unruly. Last night I determined that we have all the ingredients to make a cherry cheesecake. So that is in my future sometime this week. Something I have been so thankful for is I’m glad this isn’t happening in the winter! So glad we can go outside to enjoy fresh air and sunshine. Not that we
* couldn’t* enjoy fresh air and sunshine in winter but I don’t like the cold.

Would you all mind sending some good thoughts and prayers this way this morning? I have to take on of the boys🐶 to the vet. He's started limping around last week, which isn't anything new because he has dog lupus and gets stiff in his joints often but it doesn't usually last long. This weekend he started having trouble getting up and then on his way out to bark at something the other morning, our other dog came barreling into him and knocked him over. He let out a yelp and hubby had to help him up. Since then he's still limping and won't stay standing for long. I'm not sure if he did something to his hip or maybe a muscle or if he's just getting old :sad1:...he's 9 and over 120+lbs and I know big dogs have trouble sooner than younger dogs. OMG....im so worried, he's like my baby. We've had him since he was 3 months and he doesn't know he's a dog, he is literally like my baby...:lovestruc Hopefully he just needs some meds to make him feel better. 🤞

 to you and your pup!

Many prayers for :dog2: AuntieMe3. It is heartbreaking when one of our furry friends is hurting.

Breezy Carol, much congratulations on your new grandchild! God Bless him/her! Indeed have fun watching Frozen with your grand daughter.

It rained here overnight! 🌧Nice Gift from God that also cools it off today. Supposed to be 80 later in week. :sunny:Looking forward to a daily question later. Prayers Tina, you have been getting extra rest!

I am grateful today extra to have been able to order printer paper from Staples (free delivery, no minimum) One less trip Dad has to make to a store.

Also grateful to a new (old) Game Show recently discovered on GNS that is on from 9-10 weekend mornings called Chain Reaction. Fun to watch after DVR-ing. Does anyone know if even older game shows are ever shown on GSN? Thinking Scrabble, Classic Concentration, even Supermarket Sweep. Oldies but Goodies lol

I am also grateful that perhaps due to the rain the workers did not come today so it's quiet around here!

@PollyannaMom @Breezy_Carol @flyingdumbo127 thank you for the thoughts. I had to leave him there to be sedated for Xray and ortho workup. He LOVES going to the vet so he was happy to see our wonderful vet, who thinks it might be his ACL....:guilty: I have to call at 3 to see when I can pick him up. Our other boy is so sad I came home alone...its breaking my heart.
