I shipped my care package today. It will arrive on the 13th and we get there on the 16th.

WAAAAAAAHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :jumping1:

Sorry...Just had to get that out. :thumbsup2

What's all the excitement about?? Sheesh!! Just because YOU get to go to Disney while the rest of us SIT here for the next 6 months....don't expect US to join in your excitement...:cool1::cheer2::woohoo:pixiedust::yay::cool1::cheer2:pixiedust:

Which is better for additional storage in the new rooms- shoe organizer on the bathroom door or small containers on the shelf below the sinks?
We brought the over the door organizer which worked very well. Containers below the sink would be good as well but we just put our things right on the shelf. There is also a high shelf to the left of the sink which you can use for more storage as well.

For those of you that have had 5 in the rooms with the murphy beds, did you feel crowded? Was there room for the suitcases/clothes? We might be moving our trip to a different month and adding my nephew so thinking about POR.
We just returned (family of 5) & we lived out of our suitcases. There are 3 drawers below the trundle which is not alot of space for 5 if you really want to unpack everything. We had an air matress as well between the bed & door so yes we were a bit cramped but we didn't spend alot of time in the room.

I ordered from Walmart.com. It was $3.48 for a case of 24 bottles plus $.97 shipping. Had it shipped to directly to POR.

OMG, really???? I wanted to order water but Garden Grocer wants a $40 minimum and a delivery fee and fuel surcharge, this is a perfect idea!!!! Did you have to give special instructions or anything?

I'd love to know the answer to this too! :)

Not trying to rub it in ;) This trip has been 8 years in the making with many ups and deep downs along the way. I can't contain the excitement!

Word. We haven't been since 2004 and I'm sure I'll be more difficult to live and work with the closer we get to December!

I'm afraid you may have missed the jaded humor in my comment :upsidedow....I completely understand the excitement. When I make little financial decisions all year long, my first question is whether it will mess with our Disney trip! We can't have that! I'm obsessed right now and have 6 months to go so I understand. :thumbsup2

Didn't miss it, that's why I winked. Anyhow, how much are the arcade games at the resort? Are they any good? And what ice cream novelties are available either at Fulton's or Riverside Mill?

Thanks. Many, many more to come. I haven't had much time to do anything with my pictures, but I'm sure I took hundreds of the resort.

Liking the pics too - you might want to consider posting them in the POR Pictures Thread too, though, as this is the questions thread (although to be fair, "please show me some pictures" is a fairly frequently asked question :) ).

Found my answer about the games and managed to book a Carriage Ride as a surprise our arrival night. Anyone know about the ice cream treats?

There were sundaes, shakes and cones in the food court. But my favorite dessert (and I'm an ice cream lover!) was the cheesecake with fresh strawberry topping!

There is hand dipped ice cream that they make into sundaes or cones at the bakery at Riverside Mill; there is only candy or cookies at Fulton's.

May I suggest only a water taxi ride away is Ghiradelli's......

We have DTD planned so we'll definitely be hitting Ghirardelli's. I just wondered if they had Mickey bars or ice cream sandwiches at the resort. Do you remember what flavors they had at the food court?

I can't remember the ice cream flavors. I had chocolate, and vanilla I think. I can't remember if the strawberry milkshake that Blanche considered was made with strawberry ice cream or not. Here's the information from a menu on a different website. I thought I might have taken pictures of the menu signs, but I can't find them...

Hand Dipped Ice Cream
Single or Double Scooped - $2.69/$3.69
Sundaes - $3.99
Milk Shakes - $3.99

It also states that POFQ has ice cream sandwiches, so they might be available.
