Riverside mill had Mickey cookies n cream ice cream sandwiches and those big popsicles on a stick at the ice cream counter.

Hi Guys, just a few questions...
1. Is Boatwrights really as bad as I hear?
2. What things shouldn't I miss when staying there?
3. Is it worth bringing extra hangers and bins to fix the storage issues? Thanks

Where did you hear that Boatwrights is bad? I've seen lots of great reviews and looking forward to dining there. I was wondering what's on the menu at River Roost. I could only find a menu with about 3 things on it - shrimp, wings, and onion rings I think.... plus the drinks of course!

That is the full menu at the River Roost. But you can bring food from the food court.

Boatwright's is good, but extremely expensive for how much food you get and the fact that it is at a moderate.

I have eaten at GF Cafe for the same price and gotten 50% more food. The portions are very small.

It is just overpriced for the amount of food you get.

Take the water taxi to DTD and do not miss Yee-hah Bob in the lounge.

With multiple guests, I take a shoe organizer and place it over the bathroom door; you would not believe how much it will hold.

My husband uses a c-pap machine and needs distilled water. Do they sell it in the store at POR? They had it in the store at CBR when we stayed there, but they didn't have it at CSR when we stayed there.

We have DTD planned so we'll definitely be hitting Ghirardelli's. I just wondered if they had Mickey bars or ice cream sandwiches at the resort. Do you remember what flavors they had at the food court?

We were there in July. At the food court, they had the Mickey mouse ice cream bars and ice cream sandwiches at the ice cream counter. There also was a cooler in Fultons with the ice cream treats as well. We are big dessert fans and tend to eat them a lot while on vacation!

There is info on Bob and the River Roost lounge a page or 2 back.

Found my answer about the games and managed to book a Carriage Ride as a surprise our arrival night. Anyone know about the ice cream treats?

Where did you find the answer about the arcade? Wondering the same thing.
We'll be at POR in RR around same time as you, so loved the WooHoo:tigger:

I looked it up on portorleans.org under recreation.

Yes, they do. We were there in July and they had gallon jugs of it in the food section of the gift shop.

It is Wednesday through Saturday; 8 ish to midnight.

There is a limited amount of items on the lounge menu; but you can bring food from the food court.

There were sundaes, shakes and cones in the food court. But my favorite dessert (and I'm an ice cream lover!) was the cheesecake with fresh strawberry topping!

Me too!! I save many snack credits for the cheesecake with fresh strawberries! My kids love the icecream bar...the portions are huge!!!

Seconded!!!! I love, love, love this dessert.

There is hand dipped ice cream that they make into sundaes or cones at the bakery at Riverside Mill; there is only candy or cookies at Fulton's.

May I suggest only a water taxi ride away is Ghiradelli's......
I would say seconded, but I think I'm thirded at this point. The first time we went to Ghirdelli's was in 2009. We didn't get a chance to go last year, but hubby is already prepping to go next Oct!
