This might be a silly question, but when I've booked a package with room, tickets and DDP, is the tickets automatically on the KTTW card when I pick it up (will probably do online check in) or do I need to get them added?

it's all there including charging ability if you want it.

Would like to know if this resort has been refurbished since 2009. My family and I have stayed at this resort in the past on three seperate occasions, but the conditions of it were intolerable during our visits in 2007 and 2009. Our bathroom was filthy, managment was rude, rooms were in deplorable condition, transportation was severly lacking in efficiency, and etc. The last several years we have been staying at deluxe resorts or Pop Century. Never a problem at any other resort but this one. We travel to WDW at least 2 times per year and we have stayed in every resort except for Animal Kingdom. Would like to know if improvements have been made or if we should stay far far away.

It has recently been refurbished and now has queen sized beds. I thought the transportation was great. Rarely waited for a bus and only once did we share a bus (with POR). Until this visit, we'd only stayed at Deluxe resorts, and now we've decided if we go back, we'll only be staying at POFQ.

Anyone know about the coffee pots at POFQ? I just read a thread that someone posted about the ones at POR being replaced by cup-by-cup model instead of the old 4-cup pot style.

Also, do they provide decaf as well as high-test? TIA :surfweb:

our room still had the mini 4 cups with hightest/lowtest :)

I was there for the first time in Oct. 2007 -- we loved it. Everything was great. Went back again April 2009, and again, everything was great. Are you sure we are talking about the same resorts??? When we arrived in Nov. 2010, they were just starting the refurb in POFQ and it was finished in the spring of 2011, hence the name of this thread! Everyone who has been there since the refurb have been very happy with the results. I hope you give POFQ another try.

I completely agree with you. We've stayed at POFQ at least once per year since April of 2008 and have loved every visit, never had one single issue with the room, the food, the CMs. Ok, one time the buses were annoying , that's it. We'd be staying there again this Oct. if I could have used my free dining PIN for POFQ but it wasn't available so I'm "settling" for POR this time.

I was wondering about the carriage rides offered. Would it be weird for 2 adults who are not a couple to do them? How much? When can I make a reservation? Where does the carriage go? Does it run every night? Do I get to pick the time? Our trip isn't until Sept if the timeline matters.
My mom has always loved horses. I thought this would be a nice surprise for her.
Thanks!

It wouldn't be weird at all. I've seen families with children taking the carriage ride. I don't see why a mom and her adult child would be weird. If I were to ever be able to do a trip with my dd's, I wouldn't hesitate to do it.

A few pages back the cost was posted, $45.00 I think. You have to reserve on a credit card. 407-WDW-PLAY. You pick the date and time you want. Just be aware that if you are a no-show, your credit card will still be charged. I don't know how far in advance you need to make a reservation.

Also, since your mom loves horses, I understand that you can go over to Fort Wilderness and visit the stables. I've never done it, but I've seen notes and pics from others that have. She might really enjoy that.

Did on-line check-in yesterday. I was going to put bldg request in but there wasn't anyplace to put it (only if you wanted ground floor or needed handicap room)

Do you think it really makes a difference to email resort with request? or just see what we get when we get there and ask for a switch if they put us out in Section 1?

I've never stayed at POFQ, but I've stayed at Pop on my last two trips. I always call and ask the CM's to put my requests on my reservation. Then, I send a fax about 3-5 days before my arrival. In the fax, I restate my requests in the order that is most important. For example...at Pop I've always requested which section/building, top floor, poolside. When sending a fax, send it to Room Assigner. Rooms get assigned about 3 days before arrival.

To have a request, you need to call and have it added to your reservation. Depending on how close you are to your trip, it might be too late. In general, they no longer look at faxes or any other sort of sent request. The only way to be sure it is on there is by having it added to the original reservation by phone.

ya i ened up calling 3 days before i was there to make a building request, and it all worked out fine

I am super excited that I will be at POFQ next Weds. night. Due to the fact that I recently fell and hurt both of my ankles a little over a week ago (my right one is almost normal, but the left one is still sore and I can't turn it with out pain) so I called and requested a room on the first floor or by an elevator. I also requested a room close to transportation so I don't have to do a lot of walking around the resort. I recieved a letter from WDW a couple of days ago (It looks like a bill though my vaca is paid off:confused3) but it has the requests listed so I will make sure to bring that with me in my carry on.

I will happily provide info here when I get back. This is my first time at POFQ (my first time at any Mod) so I am super excited that it is getting so close.:banana::banana:
