I am super excited that I will be at POFQ next Weds. night. Due to the fact that I recently fell and hurt both of my ankles a little over a week ago (my right one is almost normal, but the left one is still sore and I can't turn it with out pain) so I called and requested a room on the first floor or by an elevator. I also requested a room close to transportation so I don't have to do a lot of walking around the resort. I recieved a letter from WDW a couple of days ago (It looks like a bill though my vaca is paid off:confused3) but it has the requests listed so I will make sure to bring that with me in my carry on.

I will happily provide info here when I get back. This is my first time at POFQ (my first time at any Mod) so I am super excited that it is getting so close.:banana::banana:

Do you call POFQ resort directly, if so wht number?

Anyone know about the coffee pots at POFQ? I just read a thread that someone posted about the ones at POR being replaced by cup-by-cup model instead of the old 4-cup pot style.

Also, do they provide decaf as well as high-test? TIA :surfweb:

We're in bldg 2 and the coffee maker was swapped out today. It's a Cuisinart cup-by-cup model. It looks like it has 2 sides, so 2 different cups at a time. They also left regular and decaf single cup pods. Sorry, I don't drink coffee, so I can't tell you how well the thing works.

Interesting, can you identify the exact product type of the new coffee maker? Is it one of the ones on this page perhaps: http://www.cuisinart.com/products/coffee_bar.html

Just back from our first trip to POFQ. I LOVED it! It is a wonderful resort and worked out perfect for our adults only sisters trip. For much of our trip POFQ was completely booked. I was worried that it would appear crowded but it didn't at all. We are early risers most days and there was never much of a crowd in the food court in the morning. We only had lunch there once, about 1pm, and again it wasn't bad.

I was worried about the courtyard refurb, but it was only a minor inconvenience. All cast members were friendly and added to a great trip! We were in building two garden view, third floor, close to the river. I was worried about the boat horns, we could hear them faintly in the middle of the day when we came back from the parks for a break, but no issues in the evenings.

I would definitely stay here again.

Unless you have an unlisted number, you will not be able to call the resort directly. All public numbers are routed to a call center. When the CM answers the line, they know which "resort" was being called based off of the number it comes in on and will answer as that resort. This even happens when you call the "front desk" or "housekeeping" from your room. It is all sent to a call center. This frees up the front desk and the like to work with the guests in front of them and not waste time on the phones.

To add a request to your reservation, call the main line and have them add it. It's really the only way to be sure it is connected to the reservation. Always remember though, a request is just a request and can not be guaranteed.

This is not what I wanted to hear. UGH!!! I'll be intested in hearing what kind it is as well. Now I'm thinking I may need to be prepaired for either type of machine.

I would doubt it since the poster said you could brew two different cups at a time. None of those makers appear to me like that is possible.

Do coffee drinkers like these single serving "pods" - I think I have seen these at costco etc for purchase - would that be a good idea for the coffee snobs in my group? I hear the Nescafe at the rest. is not good.

I dont drink coffee so no idea.

Can anyone tell me what the coffee is like at the food court? Better than the in room coffee maker?

I hear it's the same brand, but I personally liked the food court coffee MUCH better than the nastiness that was in the room :-)

Room and Food Court is Nescafe brand. The pods for the cuisuinart are also Nescafe brand, Oh Joy....Not.

It's not k-cups, but little pillow pod shaped things.

Would this be the new coffee maker? http://www.everythingkitchens.com/cuisinart-coffee-maker-2-cup-WCM11.html

My husband is a coffee snob so I know I'll have to buy coffee before we go, just need to know what kind.

One of the comments on that page was from someone who had just been to Disney and had one of these in their room. They were looking to buy one for home use. I checked out the pods and there is very little available. Just a regular and a decaf. However, it said the regular was a European dark roast, which definitely does not sound like Nescafe to me! I am not a big coffee drinker but even I could not stand the Nescafe.

Couldn't find this before I left - but I was interested in a Rollaway bed and asked on the phone to the reservationist. She said no ability to order in advance which was what the board said. When I got there, I requested a rollaway bed and they told us they were no longer available at POFQ since they are a fire hazard due to recent renovations (queen bed upgrade). This was this past weekend.

Hi all - I'm fairly new to exploring the resorts boards, and I have a question that's probably pretty simple for you experts.

On page one of this thread, it says, "There is a $15 per person surcharge for having a third or fourth adult occupying a room."

Can you please clarify whether "adult" means an actual adult, or a Disney adult? In other words, if we visit with my 11-year-old son, do we have to pay the surcharge for him?

Thank you!
