It does make me wonder how long before the trees completely block the view.

They pretty much do! It's such a missed opportunity! This is from our 5th floor stay in 2013. The 2023 view is 4th floor 4502 where we had a little view between the trees.

It is always strange when we go to WDW and the parks close so early….

YES! We were just there and it was weird, especially AKV closing at 6. Last time we were there in 2020, that was our favorite park at night because of how Pandora was lit up and we watched their evening show. Such a lost opportunity.

Thanks for sharing! Based on the last photo, maybe about 5 or so years left of the view. I think DVC should add a line item to the budget for trimming trees. I would happily pay a little more in dues to keep this view.

Per @NVDISFamily, they haven’t trimmed them to keep the Grand Villa view….
