Did you arrive today and get a kttw card? And if so does it work to pull old FPs? Today is the day it is rumored some resort guests will be on FP+ only and I'm dying to know how it is for Pop.
 
Shameful admission: I stood behind two DISers at the bus stop yesterday and I was too shy to say hi. They had Lime Mickeys with their usernames and everything. Kellen and Ash, I hope your vacay is going well! :rotfl: :goodvibes

:rotfl2: If it makes you feel any better, they were sitting right next to me the other day at Philharmagic, but they weren't 100% sure it was me and they were afraid to ask. :laughing: I didn't know I was sitting next to them until they posted it on our October FB group page. :rotfl:
 

At the moment you can use both KTTW cards and FP+, but there's talk of them starting to phase that out starting as early as this weekend.

All these real-time, on-the-ground updates on the state of magic band functionality and the availability of key-to-the-world cards is great. Thanks to everyone who's been posting!

14 days and counting to POP. First visit with the kids...can't wait!
 
On my way home from Pop :-( and I will say we did not have one problem. We got all our requests for the room AND a fridge. We did not have the new bedding...room 4457....but everything else was great. We never had to use the cards even for more FP. I will say that EPCOT was a bit crowded on the WS side on Saturday because of F and W but other than that it was great. Actually talked my DH into booking the BB offer for next year. Have fun to everyone taking their trip soon!!!
 
Just returned. We checked in on the 19th, and got in around noon. We were assigned to building 7, Room 7404. Couple things to note:

1) Systems were down when we checked in. They tried to code our Magic Bands for ticketing / dining plan / room charges - but could not print KTTW cards. However, they were pulling cards from a master binder for us to use for the day to get into our rooms. I'm not sure why a PP couldn't have access for ten hours - within minutes they were pulling these blank KTTW cards for us to use.

2) We found out a short time later, trying to check out at Wolfgang Puck Express, that our MBs weren't coded for squat :rotfl2: Luckily, the CM there was able to call someone at Pop and have them manually adjust our meal plan balance.

3) When we got back to Pop around 11 PM, all was better in "system" land. Our MBs were coded for our room - and, more importantly, worked - and our KTTW cards were printed.

4) No fridge - old or new, and no new bedding. I didn't ask for a fridge, nor did I ask for a credit.

5) After that first day, our MBs worked flawlessly. Meal plan, charging to the room, park admission, FastPass+ - everything.

6) The My Disney Experience app- also flawless for us. I made a number of changes to both FP+ choices and dining reservations - again, no problems whatsoever.

OH speaking of sightings - last night all the moms and little girls from Dance Moms were in MK hanging out!! It's my fave tacky TV show so I was so excited! And the day before that, I sat next to Maddie at Epcot!
 
No need to pack your old kttw cards, they no longer work. The ones we got at check in friday do work for fp-.

No kidding!! It took us close to an hour to check in.

We were given our bands and told some of them will work, some won't. They all ended up working within a few hours.

When I went back the next day for our KTTW cards the CM was quite hesitant to give them to me. She asked if my MBs were working and said I didn't need the cards if they were. I was told they are in the process of weaning their guests off the cards.

I would ask for those cards even if fp- stops working on them. Yesterday at mk my band didn't work to get in and they had to scan my card.
 
Here now! Arrived yesterday around 1130 and room was ready...80's bldg 9... have new fridge but no knew bedding. Got my requests...first floor near transportation. Short walk across the parking lot to the busses. MB's working great and did receive the kttw cards as well. Requested box fan and extra towels and they were delivered quick. Did MNSSHP last nite and everything was a walk on! Disney App also working great in the parks. Ordered bday cake for bf and had it delivered to the room. They did an awesome job :-)

Allowed DD and BF to sleep in today since they did so well yesterday...up at 3am and then the party til midnight, lol. Off to DHS today!
