Here now for 10 days.

Rocking the 90's section. We have an adjoining room (pass through door) with the rest of our party. They have a king bed! We have old bedding and new fridge. Our friends had no fridge until they called - fridge came within an hour!

We did EPCOT today. MBs working great so far as were FP+. Black bean burger in the food court is super yummy!!! Sloppy joe is NOT. lol

Has anyone on here had experience shipping bottled water from Costco to pop?

I used Office Max - they have free shipping if you spend 20 bucks. Pop got it about a week before we got there. They saved it and delevered it to our room the first night.

Just got home yesterday from a few days at Pop. 80's building, room 9163. No fridge, and old bedding. Just thought I'd let you all know. :)

I pitched a little fit the day we got to POP because I was assured by 2 cms that I'd have a fridge in my room. I spoke with a supervisor and she had one sent to my room. Than today we get back from MK and I have a new fridge where the fridge should be. The other one was just sitting on the floor. But we still have the old bedding which is ok with me, I don't care. I just needed a fridge. Had I not been assured I'd have a fridge, I wouldn't have cared as much or placed a GG order.

Hmmmmm. My fridge is just sitting on the floor. Maybe it's old too???? But, it's cold so I'm using it!

I called Pop today and was told that the values would be the last to be swapped out. I'm not sure how true that is, with all the reports on here. The cast member also said that it could be closer to the end of November before it's all finished. We arrive at pop on the 11th and are hoping for a fridge as we have a baby.

My DD was at POP in July about 2 weeks into the frig issue and she was able to get one. It was not in her room to start but she called to get one for milk for her 13 month old.

Just back!

We had a good trip.

We were in building 10, 2nd floor preferred by elevator. Room had a fridge but no updated bedding.

Wifi service was good.

The food court was crazy busy everytime we went. Can't imagine what it's like during peak season.

Bus service was good. Only had one long wait (Pop to EPCOT) on Saturday.

Cast members were great.

Magic bands worked fine.

Overall Grade: B+; no issues but also nothing too amazing
Wandered over to Art of Animation and think we may try that next time. It seemed less crowded and had a better food court. Or we may stay at Pop and request 60s and just wander back and forth (lol).

First stay at Pop tomorrow!!! :cool1:

Can't wait.

Can't remember : are Rapid Fill Mugs in service at Pop?

Questions for Pop experts.

We are a party of 7 staying in three rooms, staying January 20-25. I made the reservations over the phone. My first request was adjoining or nearby rooms (connecting is not necessary). I really want us nearby because I plan to make a garden grocer order and bring a coffee pot, and we'll all have a quick breakfast in my room before heading out. I also requested near as possible to the food court and ground floor. Is that too much to ask for?

I only requested ground floor due to my sister having to lug a stroller... I know there are elevators, but some rooms are so far away from the elevators.

I'm wondering if I should book preferred rooms, but I'm paying for two of the rooms and that adds up! That would take care of the food court issue, though.

I wonder how likely my requests are to be honored, especially with them trying to get us close together. Although, on our recent stay at POR, it was just 1 room and I had ONE request which wasn't honored at check in. :(

Thoughts? WWYD?

My thoughts:

Put your requests in order of importance. Try not to worry about it. We are on the third floor, waaaaaaay far from the main building (90s) with a double stroller and 3 small kiddoes. It's been no big deal for us because we had no expectations. We just go with the flow and so far it's been great!

ETA: our travel agent did request one thing for us - proximity to our other party. We got connecting rooms!

Are all three rooms in the same reservation? Like the PP said, put your requests in your order of preference. Although they are not guaranteed, they will make every effort to accomodate you. Ask at check-in about the location of the rooms, and if you would prefer another, just ask if there is anything else available.

So where does one find these lime green DIS badges I see people talking about to wear when we go in 31 days?

Thought this would be more relevant here than just posting a new thread.

I'm arriving Monday Dec 2

I wanted to get to the parks early however I will have electronics in my luggage and I don't know what temp to expect in order to decide if they will be okay left in the car until check in.

I know early check in is a gamble. Anyone have any advise for how to go about this?

Also, If I arrive earlier than check in can I still park at pop and hop on a bus?

You can check in anytime after 6am and be on your way to the parks. If your room is not ready, they can text you when it is, and if you are worried about the weather, you can leave your valuable items with the front desk and they can lock them up in a safe for you.

I would imagine in December that your stuff would be fine if left in your vehicle. But if you attempt to check in and your room isn't ready, you also have the option of checking bags with the luggage service. They are typically very friendly and helpful.

And yes, you can park at Pop and use the bus transportation even if your room isn't ready. If you have a package, your park admission will be ready for use when you check in.

Finally into our teens. 19 days till we are at POP to celebrate DD's 16th birthday and my 36th birthday. Unfortunately her birthday is Nov 6th and was unable to be in the World for her birthday but we do arrive on my birthday. :) It's going to be a great dual birthday week. pixiedust:

Bring on the POP waffles and tie dyed cheesecake.
