Quick question. We are staying at pop and will have a car, we are doing an early morning portrait session at boardwalk. Can we park there? Do we pay or have to show that we are resort guests? Thanks

I have thought about it... :lmao:
believe me I have thought about it... :surfweb:
Still thinking about it... :3dglasses
Will continue thinking about it... :badpc:
Probably until I change the ressie to POP. :rotfl2:
Mostly I am just annoyed. If POP is a value then why is it treated differently. (and movies as well I guess.)
Even if it is the best value. :cool1:
Disney shouldn't play favorites. :furious:

And Thanks for the heads up about the JAZZ section. (In case we do keep the Music Ressie.) :lmao:

:lmao: There ya go!!!!!!!

I posed your very question to the CM adding my (drum roll here) 5% (cymbol crash here) discount :woohoo: and her response was simply that POP & Movies are more popular than Music & Sports.

IOW, they DON'T have to discount them :rolleyes1 and we oughta be dang happy to get that 5% (she really didn't say that). I ended up saving $40, if I'd moved to Music or Sports I would have saved another $115 - our differences must be due to dates & weekend since you're saving $200. I felt for the 3 of us $115 over 7 nights, for $16-17 more a night I wanted to try POP but honestly, I really did like music & you probably will like it to.

Just not as much as POP

PM me if you have any questions about ASMu :thumbsup2

I know you've all been holding your breath wondering what I'm going to do... but the decision has been made -- I'm going to go on my trip, despite DH's job loss. He has 3 job interviews coming up still this week alone. Makes me feel a little better. So, Pop, here I come!

Good luck for your DH - he sounds like a great guy, optomistic and encouraging you to take your trip. I hope you have a wonderful trip :goodvibes

Thanks for all the good wishes! I'll pass them along.

You can self-park at BW for no charge. Just tell the security guard at the gate why you are there and s/he'll allow you in. Sometimes 3 hour passes are provided -- depending on how busy it is. You can pay to valet park at BW if that's your preference, but there would be a charge for that.

Good luck to your DH. Have a wonderful time on your solo trip!

Enjoy your trip!. I hope the leads work out for your husband.

Can you buy any type of groceries at the store in POP? The only thing I want to get is a gallon of milk to keep in our fridge for my girls to drink in the mornings while getting ready. We will not have a car...so just wondering if that is a possibility??? (Maybe a loaf of bread for PB&J's too?)

That is great news!! Good luck to him...I guess it was meant to be that you should go to POP!!! pixiedust: For his interview !!!!

Question, does anyone know where the layout plan is for POP?? I just wanted to see where the 50's building is..since that is my mom's favorite era..I thought staying in that (or trying to) area would be great!!

Unless of course it is far from the food and pool???

THANKS

Yes, visit post #1 of this thread and look at the end for the 2012 map link.

The 50's is my favorite area -- buildings 1 and 3 put you closer to Classic Hall, and it has its own Bowling Pool that is very nice.

If you are referrring the the property map for POP, it is included on the FAQ thread, post 1. :goodvibes For your convenience, here is the 2012 map for your review.

In my opinion, the 50s is not far to Classic Hall and the 50s has its own bowling pin pool, which is usually a bit less crowded/noisy than the 60s pool. Certain rooms in bldg 2 will be a bit further away from Classic Hall, but overall, with POP's compact design, most rooms are within a 4-8 minute walk. :)

Hi jcarwash!! We were posting at nearly the same time!! :)

 Erin, so happy for you!! And very pleased that your DH has 3 interviews lined up already ... that's a great sign!! Hope he aces the interviews .. who knows??? He may get 3 offers and will have to CHOOSE!! :cool1: That's would be a nice dilemma to have. ::yes:: :goodvibes

Hi Janet,
Looks like my daughter & I will just miss you guys. We arrive on 8/25 from Gilbertsville PA. Small world :)

Hi Minniesguy!! That's a bummer, especially since that time frame is our usual for Disney... although a few other DISers will be arriving on 8/25 as well.

Gilbertsville!!! Why ... it really IS a small world ... you are only about 1/2 hour from me!! Have you ever gone to the Phila Premium outlets???

Yes! POP does sell a 1/2 gallon of milk ($2.99 as of 6/2011). Cannot remember if POP sells a loaf of bread, but you can purchase slices (2 per package) near the bakery items in the food court. :)

A couple of questions I can't seem to find answers by using the search function in the forums.

1. Can you buy a box of Cereal, milk, spoons and paper bowls there? I'm thinking about getting box of cereal and milk on site to help speed up breakfast due to their lines.

2. Which Theme Parks are closest to the resort? This would help me with getting to the resort around 2 PM on arrival day to see which park to see the first day.
