Pop Century is sold out for my dates!!

I have 5 rooms (3 my visa and 2 on Dh visa) for a grand gathering. I have put my family on notice that unless they send me their $200 by the end of this month, I will cancel their room. I know they all may not go. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has rooms that will not be used. I would try every couple of days and I'm sure they will open.

My family, as of now, says they are all going. We shall see.

In the meantime, try to get anything else but ASSP. I think one of the pools is being rehabed. For Aug, you will need a pool.

I just called back (call #5) I was able to book PC for 99% of my trip.

I have PC for 8/26-8/31 and 9/1-9/5.

August 31 and September 1 are sold out(free dining) I could book those two nights as room only.

I think I'll hold on to what I have and just keep calling back to see if the other two nights open up.

Just had success booking POP 6 rooms dates ranging from Sept 17th to Oct 3rd. This was the 4th or 5th time I tried. The problem was the length of the stay. When I extended the number of days I had success. Have them check arrival and departure dates in either direction.

I ran into the same problem. We original booked POP a month ago before free dining was announced for Setepmber 16 - 22. My TA was not able to get POP for me this morning and advised that they only values available were standard at Sports and preferred at Music. Neither one we wanted. She also advised that we could book POFQ with free dining as well during that time. She advised that she will keeping cking for us but wanted to know what we wanted to do.

I called Disney myself and after a hold time for about 35 minutes and another 1/2 on the phone trying to book a reservation (computer issues) he had 2 standard rooms at PC. I was going to put the deposits down on those 2 rooms and as we were processing it one room dropped off.

I was very upset and spoke with dh he advised that it was my choice of what I wanted to do. I told my 2 choices were either keep our existing reservations and just pay for the dining or to move to POFQ.

Around 3 hours later I got an email from my TA advising of Good news. She was able to get me my 2 rooms at POP (preferred). She said that she had a feeling after the annoucement and ppl shuffling their reservations that something would become available.

So we are now booked for POP preferred room with free dining for that time frame.

Problem is THIS.....Ill be fired if I keep sitting on the phone all day attempting to get free dining. I dont believe unemplyment is enough to cover a trip...free dining or not.

Ill keep calling. I tried twice today!

Do any of the travel websites have the free dining offer listed? Maybe some of them have blocks of rooms at the resorts that can still be booked.

Don't forget that you could even bundle a room with free dining thru American Airlines if you want. They even had nonstops from L.A. which would have been perfect for me...if only....if only...if only...school didn't start that week. Their bundled tickets included park hoppers. Just an idea if anyone is interested; sometimes its not the resort availability its the cost of flights.

No POP for us either. Called at 6:59 and was on hold for 1 1/2 hours.

I'm kind of confused because this morning I called to change my original reservation Oct. 31-Nov. 14 to Sept. 22-Oct. 6 so that we would be able to have free dining. I called at 7am on the West Coast (3 hr. difference I think?) and they changed it with no problem. We were booked in POP and got free dining.

I guess now I am worried that my reservation might be messed up...I went online to check my reservation & it reflects the changed dates & price, but now it doesn't say anything about Disney Dining Plan. I'm worried & totally confused... Anyone else have something similar happen?

I had this same issue. My ressie was booked back in Feb (had no idea about free dining...we just like to go in Sept). After I called to change to free dining yesterday my package disappeared from the website so I called just to verify my info. My package is still there with the free dining. If you are worried I suggest you call just to verify everything.

Have you guys tried booking online? If you go to disney's website, there is a link to book free dining, in a couple of places on the homepage. It is even the large banner announcement now.

I put in a check-in date of Sept. 22, which seems lots of people are having problems booking at Pop. It worked just fine, with both preferred and standard rooms available. It also adds free DDP, so you won't even have to call! That is so much better than waiting on the phone for over an hour! Give it a try!

So glad my family,friends and I all stayed on the phone Monday morning. It took us each 2 hours but were able to book 4 rooms at POP. Started at 7am done by 9am!!!!!!

I hope that room opens up for you.. I really do not understand. Since they have you in the room on the 31st-2nd. Why that room is not then valid for the free dining?? I mean ugh. That really stinks. Anyhow, I just happened to notice you are from brooklyn! I was born in brownsville. Now living out on the island. I was just out in the bronx today shopping on fordham road. You know out on long island. They dont have any fashionable, reasonable clothing stores. Anyhow, sending you some pixie dust. Here's hoping for your dates, to open up!ixiedust:

Thanks for posting this. I called back this morning and was able to add September 1 to my reservation. Still couldn't get August 31, but I'm sure it will open up later.
