Pin trading

I am a complete novice when it comes to pin trading. I have only three pins. One from the Backstage Magic tour, another given to us when we applied for the Disney Visa, and one I bought. Do you buy your pins in advance or wait until you get to WDW. I'll be going with my 2 DGDs in Nov and I think they would like to trade some pins.

My DS13 likes to pin trade, and I hit the jackpot a few years ago when I found pins in a dollar store that were marked Disney! The CM's went crazy over those pins because they had never seen them before. Right now, I have a supply of pins from The Disney Store that I bought when they went on clearance for under $1.

The pins I buy at WDW are to keep, not trade.

You should try and buy some before you go. You can sometimes get pins on ebay for around $4. The pins sold at wdw are approx. $6.50. Disney stores don't carry pins anymore. Sometimes disneystore.com has some on clearance (but not right now).
