I found a casino near Marco so we may go there one afternoon and spend $50 on the slots and see if we have any luck. Mark actually brought money home from Vegas to put in our "vacation kitty" which was nice.

The way your luck has run lately, you probably will win enough to cover your trip (Wouldn't that be wonderful, to put aside for another Disney trip ... The GIRLS trip??)

Hello, my friends,

We've become awfully quiet - where is everyone? Hope you are having a good week...getting munchkins ready for back to school and so on...

I'm here and fine...just been busy with work, getting ready for school, AND a Disney friend who I met on a thread here a few years ago, and has become one of my best friends is coming to visit this weekend!!! Of course, my house was a mess, so I've been cleaning when I'm not working.
Heather ~ how's your FIL doing?
He's doing GREAT! He will have to go back every 3 months for a biopsy, but so far he is feeling good. I think he has decided to just live in the moment. Now if only Brian could do the same...HE is the one I'm worried about.

Hi, Christine. Yes, it's been very quiet around here...I keep checking but no one has been around. To tell you the truth, I'm worried about Tracy. She's clamming up again.

I think everyone else is busy getting ready for school, busy with work, etc.

Actually, I did post my ADR's here...I think someone was skimming. But, just in case you weren't, here they are again:

Saturday we have an 8:05 at Crystal Palace for breakfast and 5:40 for dinner at Sci Fi; on Sunday we have 12:55 for LeCellier for lunch; Monday we have nothing...I keep checking on Yak & Yeti...but no luck yet; on Tuesday, we have lunch at The Plaza at 1:00 and then we will leave the MK around 4:00 and drive to Marco Island.

I'm talking to Nicki (of MickeyNicki--our food queen) and we are meeting for lunch in Naples one day (she works in Naples which isn't far from Marco Island. And this Saturday, Mark and I are meeting Amy&Dan (Amy & Dan) from Denver for lunch in Wilmette. Her brother lives here and they are visiting.

I was watching a bunch of the old Samantha Brown Disney episodes on the Travel Channel yesterday. On the one where she was in AK, she stopped by a stand to show some of the healthy food choices available...Pineapple spears, apples and....AN INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED PICKLE for $2.49 !!!! I was and thinking of my Pickle friends.

I was watching a bunch of the old Samantha Brown Disney episodes on the Travel Channel yesterday. On the one where she was in AK, she stopped by a stand to show some of the healthy food choices available...Pineapple spears, apples and....AN INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED PICKLE for $2.49 !!!! I was and thinking of my Pickle friends.

When you are up to it we're all dying to hear about the places you ate.

Uh... you expect me to remember where we ate?! Oh my Lord. We only ate at four table service restaurants. Sci Fi, 50's Primetime, Fulton's, and Planet Hollywood. The only two I liked foodwise were 50's and Fulton's. The other two were fun atmospheres but that's about it, for me, anyways. As I figured, we weren't all that hungry. We had 10 meals left and 18 snacks left from our QSDP the day before we left. We only used our mugs twice as the coffee tasted like swampbutt and we just kept getting bottled water as our beverages with meals since PM doesn't give bottled soda. Very odd set up. That said, we really disliked the PM. Their menus had very few selections and they sure didn't serve a $25 steak and baked potato meal like someone previously mentioned. All they served were french fries. Yuck. We seemed to wait forever for our meals to be prepared. Only one person preparing them while five or six of us stood in line. I ate about 5 chef salads. They were YUM. Their carrot cake? OMG, LOVE it! That's all I can say positive about the PM, unfortunately. Sorry to those who enjoy it.

We used the rest of our snack credits at Goofy's to bring stuff back for the kiddos. I wanted a candy apple so badly and they didn't have any. My thunderthighs didn't need it anyway.

I'm really really wanting to still be there right now.

Unfortunately, PM has made a bad downward spiral since we were there in September. I've been reading more and more bad reviews and cutbacks on the menu. I seriously wonder if they are leaning towards turning it into a buffet as rumor has it. I know they've eliminated my fettucine which is very disappointing. I think Mark and I will skip it on our short trip.

I'm so glad you liked Fulton's. It is really one of our favorites. It is the first restaurant Mark ever took me to at Disney so it holds special memories as well and we've always had great food.

Are you going to post more pictures for us?

And how is your rash? And although you are important too, just as important right now is your mom. How is she? Any news?

Isn't that just the way? You dreaded going, could not get into it..and then it tricks you and you have a fabulous time, wanting to be back. Yep, cannot trust that Disneyworld, that's fer sure.

I'm never good about remembering food etc. My friend, with whom I travel to Disney the most, takes pics before we eat, so we have some to remember. Me, I just eat!!

Too bad about SciFi, but it's like that - can be hit or miss. Some meals are delicious while others not so good. I do like the burgers there best of all, but like mine pink and so far, has been good. It is the atmosphere that makes the place though. Did you get a car? Front seat?

50's Prime time has been hot or miss for us - a few times fabulous, but last 2 times, not so great..and I'm not into the whole "eat your veggies" "no elbows on the table" etc stuff. Maybe because the waiters/waitresses we've had bordered on rude and that's not fun to me. Still, the fried chikcen has been soooo good.

I was truly disappointed as I got the impression from the boards that it was thee place to eat. Not much to choose from that's for sure. I think three pastas, if not two and the pizza at that station. We tried the baked penne. Hubby is a huge pasta fan and thought it was just okay. Never got to try the quesadillas as we were never there when they served lunch.

I will post pics as soon as I get them loaded. They're nothing spectacular, just the same old same old. The bulk loader doesn't work for me on photobucket and as a result, it takes over four hours to load about 100 pictures. Patience is not my virtue. It's been a rough week for me, mentally, so I've just been a lost puppy so to speak. The rash is gone as is the edema, amen. Nothing new to report on mom. She is tired.

I do have something to share though. I'm being a very sneaky girl and have a surprise for Mark's birthday next week. His mommy is coming to visit for two weeks! She will be here Saturday morning. I'm going to tell Mark that I am getting a few groceries and will come home with her. He is going to flip. He's been pretty bummed that we can't go visit next month as we were planning. So...she's coming here!
