Pickle part II

LOL. I was actually pricing this December. :rotfl: $1400 for an 8 day stay @ POP everything included for the three of us. That's just nuts.

For December I don't think that is all bad. Your daughter is how old? Considered an adult?

That comes out to $467 a person for the eight days; or $58.25 a day per person. Not bad for December at all! Not if that is room, food and tickets?

What about the airline cost?

I'm thinking Flower & Garden - not too hot and soo pretty.

December (early) is so much fun..and believe it or not, POP has pretty Christmas decorations...when we were at the Poly Dec of 2007. we went over to POP to visit (we had stayed at POP early December 3 times). The decorations look much better in person - sort of 50's (to 90') shomey:

Also check this TA website - they have a some incredible group discounts, but will not tell you unless you request a quote: www.**********************.com

I was watching a bunch of the old Samantha Brown Disney episodes on the Travel Channel yesterday. On the one where she was in AK, she stopped by a stand to show some of the healthy food choices available...Pineapple spears, apples and....AN INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED PICKLE for $2.49 !!!! I was :lmao::lmao: and thinking of my Pickle friends.:grouphug:

:rotfl2:

IIt's been a rough week for me, mentally, so I've just been a lost puppy so to speak. The rash is gone as is the edema, amen. Nothing new to report on mom. She is tired.

Hope you hear soon.

I do have something to share though. I'm being a very sneaky girl and have a surprise for Mark's birthday next week. :) His mommy is coming to visit for two weeks! She will be here Saturday morning. I'm going to tell Mark that I am getting a few groceries and will come home with her. :yay: He is going to flip. He's been pretty bummed that we can't go visit next month as we were planning. So...she's coming here! :woohoo:

Tracy - what a wonderful surprise for Mark - he will be so happy:) I remember reading that part of your pickle (back at the beginning, when I was just lurking, well, I just cried reading the part about meeting his Mom and other family. I was so happy for you both).

I must confess. I've got no food porn for youse. We just shoved it all in! The meal at Fulton's was out of this world. I've never spent that much on a meal in my life, though

That's me too Tracy -- I'm not sure if I can stop and take pics -- people will think I a little crazy. Maybe I just leave that up to Kathy:thumbsup2

So I am adding to my misery and sitting here pricing out packages for next year. I've got Mark's christmas bonus all spent in my head. Suppose he'll mind? lol

I can score some awsome airline tix out of the US. Even cheaper if we drive to Boston. Hrm...oh mommmmmmmmy!!! ♫All I want for christmas is...♫ :rolleyes1

He won't mind ... life for is living, and having fun! Besides, another trip to plan:goodvibes

No, he won't mind at all. And then you could go try POR since you said you liked it. And airfare may go down more at some point.... I think we may have a PICKLE on our hands! :rotfl2:

You mean these:

Okay, maybe I can fit in Fultons .... THOSE CRAB CLAWS LOOK AWESOME!

They are to DIE for...they are soooooooooooooooooooo good (but very expensive).

I need to indulge myself on this trip, right? Food is sooo worth it. Okay note to myself, need to start dieting/exercising so I can stuff my face when I'm in Disney:laughing:

Eat and enjoy!!

Ya know, I always lose weight at Disney from all the walking!! :thumbsup2

The rates in December this year are incredible! From free dining to room only discounts - I said to Mia just today that "Disney is practically giving the rooms away" (what I did not add is "and I can't go" :( )

And salt into the wound - FOUR pin codes!! Free dining WITH room discount, room discounts only....sigh....

Crab Legs :sad2:...horribly allergic...so more for the Pickles!

Cass will be nine next month. Yes, it includes room, food and park tickets. We would be driving since we would be down there for practically three weeks. If we flew, airfare would either be booked via airmiles or a christmas pressie.

Of course, this is all in my dreams.

If I'm lucky, I will maintain:)

FOUR?? Wow! Hopefully you will continue to get them next year!

We can only hope (and a little prayer here and there won't hurt either). :thumbsup2

Janet - are you finished with work? Sophia is with her dad for a couple of hours - I'm free to chat if you'd like! the 5900 number weekdays daytime. :thumbsup2

That's a great deal - when are the dates? Hey, dreams can come true, girl!

BTW, how long would it take you to drive? I have considered it too, just need to convince my crew on it:goodvibes

This is still a great deal. Your plan should be to ask Mark AFTER you surprise him with the visit from Mom. How could he say no after that? :worship:

Hey honey! It's for Dec 12-19. We would spend christmas with my folks in Largo. Of course, this is all in my dreams. ;)

You would be there just before the CRAZY Christmas crowds - perfect timing!

Remember what Walt said (or was it one of his imagineers?)
"If you can dream it, you can do it"!!!!!

Of course, if you were to drive, it's very possible to hit bad weather in both directions....no doubt you both are used to driving in that though...

It's a 10 hour drive from here...and it was 2 ngts from Boston...so how far from where you are, Trac?

And Janet - you too??????

...sigh...my life is sooo, sooo, soo, Disney-less.

Of course, I'd dance for joy for y'all.:dance3:
