Hope you all have been having fun the last few days since I have been off the DIS (visiting with my niece and great niece). I had such a good time seeing them, just hard that they live so far away

Just checking in... what a crazy week this has been! I am exhausted from constantly being on the go, but nothing seems to be getting accomplished. *sigh* Tomorrow I have to go to Wally world and get some camping supplies for Wynn and Tucker. They are going on a 2-day canoe trip with Boy Scouts. Avery and I will go get her a new scooter, then out to dinner, and home for a Redbox movie and a mani/pedi.

Can you believe it? And she WAS ABSOLUTELY NOT HAVING HER PICTURE TAKEN! And she looks great and so relaxed.

Anyone hear from Janet or Christine lately? Haven't heard a peep from them in a couple of days.

Tracy - your pics are great. I just wanted you to know that I think you look fabulous! You were so worried about clothes fitting, etc. You LOOK GREAT!

We loved Prime Time too...the fried chicken is to die for! That's on the list of possible ADR's for our trip. We want to try primetime too.
So Chris is happy to be home, but wants to stay for a MONTH next time

I want to work in Costuming...I did major in fashion design when I first started college. How did I wind up here????

Maybe the condo comes equipped with a computer & internet?? We can dream, right? OR, tell your boss you will check in with him, but unfortunately you can't, but if they COULD spare a laptop, you will be most willing to do it

Driving a boat would be cool ... but I do have a little bit of a lead foot, so that might be out for me

I would love to work someday at Disney … but never really thought too much where! Maybe at one of the pin Kiosks, since I’m into the pin trading thing myself (either in the parks or at the Wilderness Lodge). OR, I could work at POC, since I love that ride. OR, I wouldn’t mind working Expedition Everest, since it’s a fav of mine ... well you get the point, I could be almost anywhere at Disney and be happy (and yes, air conditioning would be a plus)

My sister works with a woman in Rochester that also works for Disney part-time. She goes to Florida at the beginning of January and works until the end of April. Her company in Rochester (Macys) doesn’t mind her leaving for 4 months, and Disney is fine with it too – how great is this?? She gets out of Rochester in the cold months and doesn’t work the really hot summer months in FL.

Good morning. Am I ever in a pickle. First, I've got edema in my feet, ankles and calves. I've spent the last two nights with them raised trying to get the swelling down. Last night, I developed this red rash like thing on the bottom of my legs. My right leg is much worse than the left. And it BURNS. OMG, I wanted to rip my legs off. It's not as bad this morning and I have no clue what it is. All I know is it hurts. (looking stuff up on the internet isn't exactly soothing either.) Hubby put aloe vera gel on it to try and give me relief. It's not sunburn. We won't be going to any parks today, I'm afraid.

Also, something happened to my mom but we don't know what or when. Cassie was on line last night and staying at a friend's house the past few days. I asked why she was there so much and she said grammy is sick. WHAT?!?!! All we know is she fainted in the middle of the night, had a pain in her heart and may have broken her hip??? They don't know anything. Tried calling my parents and our house and all we are getting is answering machines. We can't get a hold of anyone to find out what is going on. My sister is in NH for the week and that's all the family we have. So, the poor dog and cat are alone, with Cassie and her friend's mom going over to feed and let them out periodically. My dad apparently doesn't know which end is up right now and felt terrible about leaving Cassidie with the neighbours and, we don't know what is wrong with my mom. It really would have been nice to get a phone call. I tossed and turned all night with worry and pain from my leg. At least we had seven good days... sigh.

Oh, Tracy....I am so sorry to hear this. First, prayers and hugs that all is well with your mom and you get answers soon. As for the rash, I've read several reports of that...it seems to be some sort of little bug that bites (NOT bed bugs, but something that is outside and low to the ground) or an allergy to the detergent they use. Please keep us posted when you can.

Tracy, I’m so sorry to read this news from you. I’m praying that your Mom is okay and that you are able to find out the whole story soon. I know its very frustrating to be so far away and not to be able to get any straight answers. Know that we are all thinking of you, and sending hugs your way. I hope you can get relief soon on your leg. Is there anyway to get medical help on Disney property? Maybe taking something like Benadryl and/or motrin can help with the itching/pain if you haven't done so already. We're here for you, post when you can.

I remembered the name of the little bug -- it is Chiggers -- that bite.

Tracy, If it looks like it might be any sort of bite or allergic reaction, send Mark out to get some Benadryl or Zyrtec tablets as well as Benadryl topical spray. The oral medication will fight the reaction from the inside, and the spray will really help with the itching on the outside. We find the spray works great on anything from Mosquito bites, spiders, ants reactions to soaps, eczema, etc.

No, it's not bites. It's a rash of some sort. Here is a picture with a lovely shadow covering most of the red... (hubby needs to take a photography lesson or two)

Could be an allergic reaction to soap or something. You poor girl. Still no word from home has got to be driving you nuts. Go lay in my hammock and have a drink (or two or three).

Yikes - the rash looks painful - I'm sorry you have to deal with this too.
Hope you get some news about Mom later today. In the meantime, try to relax, and I agree with Kathy, you definitely need some drinks!!
