Good afternoon to all my Pickles. I hope you've all had a great weekend thus far. We are FINALLY having summer here. It's been in the upper 90's yesterday and today.

Well, I think this is the day Tracy arrives home. I hope we hear soon on how her mom is doing. I've been thinking of her nonstop.

Have I ever mentioned that I love Edward? You might be saying to yourself...I'm sure her husband's name is Mark; who is Edward? Edward is my savior...he gives me my massages when I splurge for one. Well, I just got back from seeing Edward and let me tell you, I'm in heaven. I feel like a new woman. I've woken up with a stiff neck the last three mornings and you would never know it after Edward was done with me. I just don't understand WHY he won't move home with me?

We're home. We're burnt and we're pooped. I am royally ticked off at the racket people at leadership convention at the hotel made all frickin night. They we're still acting like morons when we hauled our sorry butts out of bed at 3am to catch ME at 3:45. I don't think we slept an hour the entire night. I can not for the life of me comprehend how grown adults from a very prominent company can behave like that at a hotel. NOT impressed at all and if I am still cranky in the morning I just may email the company and let them know how hundreds of their employees behaved on the last night of their convention. They should have been kicked out as far as I am concerned. They would settle down for awhile, but then they would start right back up again. This went on four FIVE hours!! Yeah, I'm cranky.

Mom was in the hospital 3 times this week. No clue what keeps happening other than low blood pressure. Will know more this week. She passed out and hurt her back. Dad was concerned that she broke her hip, but she didn't. She's got a nasty bruise and thought she might be bleeding internally. She's in a lot of pain, but can't take anything with aspirin in it or put on creams because they have aspirin in them. She has a bunch of appointments tomorrow. Dad looks like he was run over by a freight train. The poor man. I don't know what I can do to help them. They live an hour away. So I feel like a schmuck daughter for leaving on vacation and expecting them to look after my home and child. Ugh.

Anyhow, I am going to bed as I can't see straight. Will write more tomorrow.

OMGoodness! So much to catch up on...

I'm sorry to have been AWOL - my friend arrived from Boston last Tuesday and we've been on the go ever since. We went to the Mountains on Thursday...more about that later...want to catch up with the goings on here. Lynne leaves this afternoon and I will be back to caring for Sophia (who is EVERYWHERE) - wow, two weeks vacation and my love-bug has changed so much! Mia goes back to work today - never a fun day, but she really enjoyed her two weeks off.

Tracy, Welcome back!!! So glad you are home safe and sound, but very sorry to hear about your mom. Where is she now and how is she doing this morning?

How are you legs? If I'd been here, maybe could have helped/explained about the rash - many guests get that rash and swelling (of course, the name has escaped me at the moment), it is from the sun/heat reflecting off the cement on the lower part of the legs. Dis threads have talked about this for years - I'll try to find one later today and post the link. Wish I'd thought to warn you to use heavy duty sun screen slathered on your lower legs. It's probably too late now, but if you use Benadryl do not use both a cream/spray or tablets at the same time as you'll be getting too much Benadryl - both are absorbed into the system. I have found taking the capsule works best for both itching and swelling (I'm allergic to the sun and heat so have lots of experience with annoying rashes). A natural cream, like Calendula, is very soothing. http://www.californiababy.com/calendula-cream-2-oz.html

I never wear sandals at WDW anymore - rather light weight keds with 100% cotton socks (I know it sounds dorky, but it's a cute, preppy kind of look lol).

And we didn't warn you about the daily summer rain in Florida? Geesh, what kind of friends are we anyway?? Or not mentioning the cost of rental cars this summer ~ car rental costs are outrageous everywhere.

Kari ~ WOW...hope you can catch your breath today!! We were kind of in your neck of the woods twice in the last few days. We went to Mama Dips (think Southern Fried Chicken, our Northern friends) and Maple Farms for ice cream on Saturday and yesterday Lynne and I took a ride out to Hillsborough. Her friend told her it was a very pretty & quaint little town....was she really in Hillsborough????? NOTHING there and not quaint for sure... So we drive around Old US 86 for an hour... We decided to head back because we were hungry, so stopped at Mimi's Cafe at Alamance Crossing.....then came back to G'boro and squeezed in one more movie.

Janet ~ I couldn't believe I missed your calls by just a few minutes - have not had a free minute to call back. Sounds like you had a great visit. What a fun week it's been for you and Samantha.

Kathy ~ a PTR!!!! Way to go! Will be sure to get on board after Lynne leaves...and if Sophia takes an afternoon nap. Of course, her schedule is all over the place. Will try to get an updated photo - she looks HUGE in the photos and real life these days! Yes, yes, yes!! Someone must lend you a laptop!!

Thanks for all your concerns and well wishes. They are truly appreciated and you are all so sweet and mean a lot to me. My rash is going away but still have edema. Mom was getting testing done today to try and find out why her b/p is low and heart keeps acting up. No clue when she'll get answers. That's about it. Nothing new to tell.

Well, we got back from the beach and then went to the mountains and school starts for me Monday and I am not ready!!

Tracy... I hate that you had a yucky last few days, but I am eager to hear all about the fun I know you had. I am praying for you and your parents.

I admit it.. I SKIMMED. But forgive me, I had days and days to catch up on.

My parents will be here tomorrow for one night. We were with them in Lake Lure and they are going to stay here tomorrow night on the way back to Florida.

I have to drive to South Hill, VA on Thursday... teach all day Friday and then drive back here Friday evening and teach all day Saturday. Then I have to go back to work on Monday. I am a vacation junkie and I am not ready for school to start, especially since we aren't going to Disney in September now.

My pickle will be where to stay next summer. We now have 400 points to spend!

I missed all of you guys and hopefully now I can keep up.

Back again, from a quick trip to upstate NY. I took a friend of Samantha to the lake. They had a blast of course. Mid-70's there and I come home to hot, sticky, humid weather in PA - and to top it off, our air conditioner is not working! It seems we need a new motor, but hubby wants to replace the whole system, so we are getting quotes. In the interim, maybe this will help me "sweat" off some pounds (gotta see the positive in everything, right??)

Well, hope to connect up with everyone later today while at work.

Welcome back, Kelly. Hard to believe school starts already in some areas. We will forgive you for skimming. I've been known to do it myself. And with planning our last minute mini trip to Disney, I've been a bad girl and skimmed too much. But I promise to be good now.

Yes, not having a massage is right up there with no Disney popcorn. As much as I love my massages at the CSR, NO ONE compares to Edward.

Hi, Christine. Yes, it's been very quiet around here...I keep checking but no one has been around. To tell you the truth, I'm worried about Tracy. She's clamming up again.

I think everyone else is busy getting ready for school, busy with work, etc.

Actually, I did post my ADR's here...I think someone was skimming. But, just in case you weren't, here they are again:

Saturday we have an 8:05 at Crystal Palace for breakfast and 5:40 for dinner at Sci Fi; on Sunday we have 12:55 for LeCellier for lunch; Monday we have nothing...I keep checking on Yak & Yeti...but no luck yet; on Tuesday, we have lunch at The Plaza at 1:00 and then we will leave the MK around 4:00 and drive to Marco Island.

I'm talking to Nicki (of MickeyNicki--our food queen) and we are meeting for lunch in Naples one day (she works in Naples which isn't far from Marco Island. And this Saturday, Mark and I are meeting Amy&Dan (Amy & Dan) from Denver for lunch in Wilmette. Her brother lives here and they are visiting.

I found a casino near Marco so we may go there one afternoon and spend $50 on the slots and see if we have any luck. Mark actually brought money home from Vegas to put in our "vacation kitty" which was nice.

For some reason I always think of Marco Island as closer to St Augustine, rather than Naples...no idea why. I've been to Sanibel Island...can you say GORGEOUS and Naples (very upper class and beautiful).

The casino should be fun too!
