i do kind of wonder with multiple subjects how the r.o.t would apply...try to keep them all on one of the intersecting lines or just pick one for a subject and let the others fall where they may. any ideas or should this not be discussed here?

I like it!! Following the golden ratio does have benefits!!

I have to post one I took a couple of days ago. I just love the soft colors of pinks on this wildflower.

yet another great link kevin...although at first i almost ran screaming due to the math stuff( brain is no where up to speed for that today:lmao:)
the colors on that are great, like the blurred pinkish background, really creates a soft "mood":thumbsup2

Been getting into some bird photography lately. We have quite a few different kinds around us. Biggest problem I run into is our dog. He barks at everything so when he's around the birds go elsewhere...:confused3

Anyway. I spoted 3 Blue Jays the other day down the street and saw them briefly in the next yard over, but haven't gottem them yet... Did get a decent on of a Cardinal.

Cropped about 50%

Used 70-300mm lens at the 300mm end with VR on.

ISO 400, f/5.6, 1/400th. Only post processing is the crop. I tried to get closer after taking this pic, but this little sucker kept moving back:sad2:

There is a church close to us and they have a nice set of Red Hot Pokers (I think the symbolism is interesting.....) in the front planter at the parking lot.

This one was taken at sunset

Beautiful--I can almost smell them! We had a late freeze that was not kind to my lilacs, and I really miss them!

I'm loving all these beautiful photos.
What a talented group of artists you all are!

This is a Siberian Iris from my front garden. Sorry, I don't know the details of the shot, except I took it with my Olympus E-500, no flash.

Nice shots Jeff! :thumbsup2 Looks like you're enjoying the D50. I've definitely got the 105/2.8 VR lens on my want list.
