Date, Marry, Kill: Non-Park Resorts

Sorry, I read this wrong so I'm revising. Does it have to just be DVC?

If it does, then:

Date: OKW - purchased here in 1992 when it was the original DVC and I haven't regretted it for what I paid. Stayed everywhere I've wanted. Not a fan of studios though because I would prefer a Murphy with sofa and a bed over 2 beds but a HUGE fan of the 1 BR/2BR. Better to stay with a car though, but points charts are great!
Marry: AKV - It was hard to pick because I want to stay, but have yet to. Maybe next year. I guess I'm committing to a stranger. :confused3
Kill (maybe a little strong for my choice): Don't know if RIV counts but I guess it may - so CFW.

Friend: SSR - I would stay here again but only with a car.

Date: Saratoga - unsure about this, but would try it. Did get lost here once while trying to get to Disney Springs and it felt like a bad date gone wrong.
Marry: Animal Kingdom - I'm not wanting to marry this one so this relationship is on shaky ground, but the refurb looks nice.
Kill: CFW - not my style of accommodation and too fussy with needing golf carts, etc.
One Night Stand: OKW - would try it once

Since I haven't stayed at many DVC resorts yet, this is a "Love is Blind/Married at First Sight" type of guess based on videos and the few places I have stayed. Hoping to stay at 5 more resorts in the next year so I can come back and revise my ratings then!

Date: AKL

You are just so fun. Exotic, expansive, and even spicy. But, you're sort of easy to get and also have some ongoing maintenance costs that make things not ideal for the long term.

Marry: SSR

At first blush, you are a bit boring, but, upon a closer examination, you have a bit more to offer beyond your practicality. You have fountains, a golf course, multiple feature pools, and a short walk to Disney Springs! You're so much better than people give you credit for and I'm happy to give you my love .

Kill: CFW

I'm sorry, but why on earth would anyone want to stay in a cabin in the hot, humid swamp that is central Florida without a washer/dryer. I'm not coming to WDW to rough it. If I wanted to rough it, I'd head to the mountains, not the Florida swamp.

Friend: OKW

Ok, you're fine and I like your house (theming), but I'm not staying overnight unless I've got no other option.
Not only was this incredibly witty, it persuaded me not to marry AKV (why by the zebra-adjacent hotel when you can get the milk for free, I mean 7 months)?

Marry: None, the dues are too darn high at AKV.

Date: AKV (always a fun time but no need to commit)

Kill: OKW+SSR—want to get rid of the giant tribe of SAP that I’m always competing with at 7mo to get into Crescent Lake, lol.

Sweet, sweet fantasy baby: CFW, I’m so excited to try it out in my daydreams but I actually think the inconvenience of layout (both resort and unit itself) and transportation won’t be all that fun in reality.
I watched an interview with her and she had to stop letting them use the song because it got more associated with ASPCA than with her.
Yeah, I can’t hear that song without being immediately bummed out.

Marry: AKV
Date: SSR, OKW
Kill: CFW

I think the OP meant for the title of this thread to be “Non-Park Resorts”, not “Non-Resort Parks”, but one of these resorts has the best access to one of the four major parks! :duck:
