Any recommendations for a good airport hotel in phili for a PSandF ? thanks

Bumping up for you ... I'd like to know as well. I received and e-mail today for some park n fly specials that I am considering for our upcoming Spring Break trip. The hotels that were included were:

Microtel Inn & Suites
Days Inn - Philadelphia Airport (in Chester)
Ramada Airport Philadelphia South
Confort Inn Phiadelphia Airport

Are any of these worth looking into ? I'm concerned getting a decent, clean room and leaving the car in a safe location. We usually fly out of Newark so I'm not very familiar with the Phili area or the airport.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated ! :thumbsup2

We've used the Hampton Inn-Phila Airport. I booked thru the Hilton Website. You have to chose the park-fly rate. Rooms were clean, free breakfast was good and the shuttle was fast. The parking is in an outdoor lot.

there is also a HOliday Inn
and another one darn forget the name will look when I go out but it is 79.00 a night right now I saw the sign when I was on my way home and noticed 79.00. I isn't too close about 2 miles from the airport.

Ok there is the airport and then to the left of the airport there are 2 hotels one being the Sheraton I think

There is the Mariott which is connected to the airport

then down 95 ( or 291 which is the rode the airport is on) there are 3 hotels the other way from of which is where the HI is and there are Dennys and another restaurant there.

Then on another road is a couple of hotels and a Ruby Tuesdays there. if you need or want details let me know and I will look when I go out. I am 7 1/2 minutes from the airport

Just make sure you know which set of gates you're flying out of (the walk from A to E is quite long).
The nice bonus is the (relatively) reasonable proximate parking and the lack of air traffic delays. You get on the plane, the door closes and the plane takes off within 15 minutes -- unheard of in the NY airspace!

Thanks for the input everyone. Shoes99, do you park at the hotel or do they have a lot off the hotel property ? thanks.

They give you a sticker for your dashboard, then you park across the road in the bank lot. There are spaces numbered for Hampton Inn and Microtel Inn parking. Its just an access road for the two hotels and Ruby Tuesday. One time the allotted spaces were full, so they told us to park in the hotel lot. I have not had any problems. The shuttle runs frequently on the 1/2 hour, for the return trip, you just call the hotel for a pick-up.

Last year we stayed at the four points sheraton... nice hotel...
123.00 with 10 days parking...
Now it is 149.00 with 7 days parking...

This year we are staying at the Rennisance hotel for 149.00 with 10 day parking....

You can reserve it through buy reservations dot com...

They are great.....

My girlfriend stayed at the Micro.. and she said it wasnt good she will never stay there again...

and the comfort inn ... I called and they told me that there shuttle wasn't running yet... I dont know why but we didnt want to wait and lose out on a good price...

I hope this helps..

We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Essington this past May and it was great. very clean and friendly. The shuttle service was quick and on time. The free breakfast was very good! There's a diner next door...we ate dinner there the night we checked in. It was $140 and we parked free for 13 days. We will stay there again next time we go to WDW.

Friends of our used the Comfort Inn and really liked it. We have used the Shearton Four Points & the Sheraton Suites. The Suites can be noisy as it is an seven story atrium, with the bar and restaurant area on the first floor. The noise really does travel upwards. You can sometimes get special deals if you are a Starwood Points member (join for free). Both Four Points and Suites share a shuttle, and the Four Points is a tad cheaper.

There is also a Four Points right at the airport that does the park and fly packages.

The Four Points isn't directly on airport property, it is about 5 minutes away. The Marriott is the hotel that is right at the airport. The Marriott is $129.00 a night, but you have to pay $17 a day to park, in the airport parking lot.

Here is a list of hotels from the PHL airport website

How far is Renaissance????

Yes it is about 1 mile from the airport...

I picked it because we have my neice - 8 and my nephew -6 going and to tire them out I wanted someplace with an indoor pool...

thanks for the information, I booked the Renaissance last night through Buyreservations.com. It looks beautiful.
