Thank you. I needed to hear this....Can you remind me periodically through out the next year!
Lol no problem!! I need to remind myself every know and then!!

I haven't had this problem because I live so much closer but I can understand how you feel, I would be hurt if people acted that way.
I agree with Mandy, if they choose to not come than that's their loss, not yours. You're going to enjoy and celebrate your day regardless of whether they attend or not. Don't worry about what other people want, make yourself happy and then try to accommodate others. But always yourself first.
Howdy!
So, here is the latest and greatest. To start with, I've decided that if no one wants to come to my Disney Wedding except my parents then I'm just going to spoil them and enjoy every picture perfect moment! We still don't have confirmations on anything yet...but I am hoping my planning kit to them will get them excited...or at least get them to get a move on...either way...I ahve a back up plan.
For example, I wanted a staged rose petal toss...if we don't have enough people that is fine-I'm getting confetti cannons!
It will work itself out, but I'm just going to go and be my princessy self.
So, the newsletters are DONE. I just need to get black ink in order to print them
I got our STD pencils...So. Very. Stinking. Cute! I love them! A friend of mine owns an imprinting company and did them as a favor...For 10 of them it would have cost me $3.50...I would have paid double...but she said no charge. And when she forgot to bring them with her when we met up...she had me over for lunch too!
I stopped and got park maps from the Disney Store. They get so excited when you tell them you are getting married at Disney! They are in the rack that they keep all the tickets and gift cards in.
(I got my mom the Birnbaums Guide and a $25 Stay/Play/Dine gift card for her birthday-She loved it!Dad will get one too for his Birday coming up...and then for their Anniversary I'll get them another...most substantial one...They have been wonderful...with some bumps...but those bumps have been so minor that they deserve as much as I can do for them!)
Mom & I are going tomorrow to yet another bridal show-this will now be the 4th!!! Only this time we need to really look for Tux deals. FOB needs one to rent and The Groom needs one to purchase. He has other things that he will need it for so it is best to purchase one. I'm afraid to see what this will cost...but he will get good use out of it!So, mom & I will be eatting cake and looking at tuxes and such. Fun Fun Fun!
This new attitude helps. The heck with them. It's all about me and DH...and we are going to enjoy every minute!
PS Pictures soon...promise...I've got some great stuff to show off!!!
GOod for you!! And although I want everyone to come to your wedding...I'm jealous of the idea of confetti cannons!! LolCan't wait to see your stuff!
Talk about your early Xmas gift!
I got the job that I have been wanting and waiting for! I found out yesterday!!! WOOOHOOO Let the wedding planning really begin!
Thank you all for the pixie dust and prayers!
On a wedding note...I started working on our wedding album from David's Bridal (apparently they give you a FREE 20 page wedding book-hard cover from shutterfly-Hey it's free...can't complain there...) and I'm just frustrated...I was going to work on it during the holiday...but hmmmm...I need my computer screen at home-not my laptop...too frustrating to try to do it with a touch pad and small screen-I'm such a snob LOL
Have a wonderful holiday everyone!!!

Sorry i've been MIA lately...
But i'm back!COngrats on getting that job!!! woohoo!!!
I totally know how you feel about your DH's family not getting into it.... we're facing the same issues. But just like you we aren't going to let it upset us! Just keep doing what you're doing and your disney wedding is going to be amazing! Can't wait to see pictures!
It's ok, your hair has plenty of time to grow! I just got about 20cm cut off my hair because it was just too heavy and thick, especially for summer, so now it sits just below my chin, but I know it's going to be plenty long enough to go in a side ponytail for a friends wedding in April. Worse case senario, you can look into extensions.
I think you can reschedule any time within the Disney Financial year, which is like Oct-Oct isn't it? So I think you'll be fine, so long as you don't want to put it off until the following Nov 30...
*sigh* you know what they say about the best laid plans...![]()
I'm sorry that you may have to postpone your wedding. It's not being selfish at all to be thinking of your wedding. That's a very important day for you and your DH and it's only natural that you would be concerned that he wouldn't be able to come back in time.
I just looked over my contract and it said you can postpone the wedding once and the rescheduled wedding must take place within a year of the original date. I think there is some type of fee that you pay first but if the rescheduled wedding is within a year they'll apply that fee to that.
