So, mom starts to panic...What was the last time I talked to the officiant...Um...Thursday. He was all set. Now, remember, his last class ended at 3:45 then he had to drive home and change blah blah blah...Then, drive to my parents house. This takes time-relax.
My mom brought MIL up to see me. At this point the urge to puke had gone and I was playing on my iphone. Both mothers flipped and said "Why is that still on." I said that DH probably had his on too!" I text messaged him and sure enough-he did!!!
So, mom and MIL go downstairs. Mom lined everyone up the way she wanted them. Dad came upstairs. It was go time..Until we heard DF say "Hang on! Not ready yet!" Um...Ok....A little back story...The night before DH dropped me off at my parents house. We brought everything with us, including our rings. We placed the rings in a specific place so DH would not forget him. Well, they got everyone in place, and my mother looked at him and asked if he had the rings. This is when he realized...um...he didn't!

So, he needed to get them.
Once that was set up and ready to go, dad and I headed down the stairs and we were off. We ended up walking the path I didn't want to take-but at that point there was nothing I could do about it (long story) I got to DH, handed my flowers to his g-ma and the ceremony started.
Dad went to give me away, shook DH's hand and then whispered, "I know I got the golfballs, but you got the better deal here." I thought that was cute. DH's dowry for me was a box of a certain kind of golfball. So, it worked.
The ceremony went well. I didn't cry! I said my vows and he said his. We exchanged rings. We had written in the ring part to remember what kind of a pain in the butt it was to find the perfect rings. Apparently, the officiant asked DH who wrote this. DH said both of us. The officiant wanted to make sure that DH hadn't written it in on his own. Nope -that was both of us!
We adjorned and DH dragged his grandparents up to the kitchen to sign the paperwork. We were official! We went to diningroom and ate. Dad made a toast that was very sweet.
Next, came the cake cutting. This was a bit of a disaster. More or less b/c I tried to feed him at the same time he tried to feed me...I got cake. He didn't. So, I got a re-do and got to feed him a second time.
It all went by so fast, and it was pretty simple. I'm really looking forward to the Disney wedding even more!
Photo's will be up as soon as I get them!!!
