OMG! I disappear for a few months, and you go and get married early!! :rotfl: Awww! I can't wait to see photos hon! You know what? You're just much smarter than the rest of us! I mean, two weddings sound WAY better than just one! ;) So excited to see more!

Ok...or well just some of them...I'm still working on them and so is my photographer. We work together at the photo studio. It will be interesting to see the difference in our work.

Look at the silly looks on our faces...No we aren't happy at all! :rotfl: I'll probably take the pics of DH and I down after sometime...He gets all crazy about having his pic up on public boards and I have to respect that, but I had to share it with you!!!

Now, onto the main event! Our Disney Fairytale Wedding!!!! :banana::banana::banana:

Nope. I'm having a bit of an identity crisis. 1/2 my stuff is in my maiden name...the other 1/2 my married. I have to check which card I used before I sign my name...it's nuts! I went to change my name at the bank. They said, "Sign here" and I started signing my maiden name-DUH! I looked at her 1/2 way thru and said "Can you clear that? I used the wrong one!" :rotfl:

So, I just sold some things on ebay and made $77!!! I told DH that was going toward my desert party. He asked "What is with you and the desert party?" My response was that we don't dance-so consider this the fee for the DJ! HA! TAKE THAT!

Not much more on the DFTW front. I've started my newsletter...Hoping things go a bit quicker after the New Year!
 
...It makes me laugh but DH doesn't want me to play "Travel Agent" for this event. Yeah. Right. This is coming from the same guy that said at camp that I was the Cruise Director. :rolleyes1

Anyway, I've been working on our newsletter-what a daunting task!!! The dang thing won't write itself! (How rude!) Here is what I have so far:

Why Disney (thinking about nixing this b/c honestly...duh...why not? and why should I justify why WDW. :snooty:)

Rooms (Important since we are coving up to 3 nights of rooms per/couple)

TA Info. (VERY IMPORTANT! For a couple of reasons. 1. All travel is going thru her that we need. 2. I know everything will be done the way I need it done. I'll also have a little bit more "access" that way. -linking ressies that sort of thing...)

The Pop Century Resort (Important...just an overview. I want to make it sound like a expensive resort...it's all we could afford to put people up in...)

Photopass (This is important as well. I want everyone to get it so that I can add all of their cards to ours and then voila! Order the CD and then make copies...Send it after with a thank you note...Post wedding favor I guess...)

Cool stuff for the parks...(Not really all that important...kind of a filler...)

Congratulations on your wedding! It's been heinous on my side, or I would have said so sooner! I love your dress, and the two of you look beautiful together.

As for the newsletter, I wish everything would write itself! I've been writing papers for grad school the last few days, and I am feeling the same way you are!

Why justify getting married at Disney? It's Disney! I agree. Who wouldn't want to get married at the most magical place on Earth? But we're biased... :lmao:

As for Pop Century, I wouldn't try to make it sound more expensive than it is. We always stay there, and that's where everyone in our families are staying for the wedding. My brother and his wife, who prefer more expensive places, said he would rather stay at Pop Century this time around anyway because all Disney resorts are nice. Last time he stayed at AKL and they only slept in their resort, making it crazy to spend $300 a night when they were in the parks all day anyway. Pop Century is fun. I wouldn't stress too much about making it seem fancier. They have a pool shaped like a bowling pin! Focus more on the fun stuff and people will get excited.

I love the PhotoPass idea. I wish I could get that together for our group, but I don't think any of them would go for it. They all have their own expensive cameras, so I'll just have to rely on them sending me their pictures if I want to make a favor later.

I think I misspoke about the whole "wanting to make the POP sound expensive..." bit...(whoops my bad! :headache:) I guess I just don't want them looking at other places and saying "Why didn't they put us up there.":eek: I've stayed at the POP...I love it...They should too! (putting foot down smiley)

The newsletter is coming along....actually pretty well. I've dumped the, "Why Disney?" bit... and focused on cool stuff at the POP...(Twister, Doing the Twist and Hussle at the food court that sort of stuff etc)

Off to work on it some more...it's actually much easier once you get moving on it...:thumbsup2

(NOTE TO SELF)*I NEED TO FIND A PLACE TO PUT IN INFO ABOUT TA*

Our first "newsletter" is actually going to be a box of stuff. I wasn't going to do this. I really wasn't. But I WANT to. Ok So, I've nixed the whole Birnbaums guide...Why spend $15+ dollars (I've found it cheaper-but still) on a great book that people may or may not (most likely NOT) read....and for people that may or may not even really want to go. Nope not worth it...maybe that is why my newsletter is so long. Anyway, I've written this before in this PJ as to what I wanted in this box. Which at this point I think is going to be the size of a small flat rate shipping box via USPS.

Since, I want to get these out in Jan. I need to get a move on...So, what I'm including has changed some.

-Newsletter
-STD Pencil (red in color...writting on 4 sides...a friend that makes them...relatively cheap)
-CD of Disney music.
-TA business card
-Park maps (I might save these for a later mailing....not sure yet)

I've decided that instead of doing Welcome Bags that I will be doing a "Survival Kit" prior to leaving.

-Shout Wipes
-Gum
-Purell Wipes
-Directions for the yellow luggage tags you get with your documents, and How to get thru the magical express...
(and a couple other things...feel free to add to my list!!! the challenge is that I would like it to keep this in a travel soap box...)

I have Mickey Mouse luggage tags for everyone. I don't know if I am going to use these as favors or not...If not I'm going to send them along with the survival kit... decisions decisions...

I have a couple of pictures of my thank you cards from our legal wedding I need to put...More soon!

On a wedding note...I started working on our wedding album from David's Bridal (apparently they give you a FREE 20 page wedding book-hard cover from shutterfly-Hey it's free...can't complain there...) and I'm just frustrated...:rotfl: I was going to work on it during the holiday...but hmmmm...I need my computer screen at home-not my laptop...too frustrating to try to do it with a touch pad and small screen-I'm such a snob LOL:snooty:

So, here we are back at semi square one. Families are all being a pain in the bum.:confused3 I feel like I have to vent but...can't vent to my mother since she seems to agree with everyone else. (When did that happen?) Even if DH is right-who's side is she on anyway???:mad:
*sigh*

So, I've started my newsletter as previously posted. It's coming together well. I told DH that I was ordering pencils for our STDs. Before he could say anything I just whipped around and said "I want to do this and it's only costing me $3.50." He said it was fine. (I wasn't asking for approval:rolleyes1) It's amazing to me that he said it was fine since he keeps shutting down everything else. :headache:

DH seems to be just as frustrated...He can't get his family to tell him when they want to go so that we can make room ressies for them. :sad2: If this newsletter doesn't kick them in the bum...Then, what ever.

They were little help during our legal ceremony. I can see it is going to be even worse now...:confused3

I TOTALLY Understand how you feel. You know how I fixed it? I stopped babying everyone. I decided that this wedding is about Eric and I...and I don't care about anything else. Who every wants to come fine...you don't want to come fine (not that I'm not stil hurt). You don't want to stay on property...FINE. It's out of my control.

It's hard and it sucks...but you can only do so much and you don't really need to deal with that kind of stress AND plan the wedding!!:hug:
