Peeps 2. The Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Pt 2. Feb '10. 2/21-Final Chapter. Link to TR

It's so funny to compare a single man's budget to ours (family of four)!!
We're probably not that far off, though. The same $$ you allot for drinks gets used up by our kids on souvies and treats...

I could probably spend less on drinks. I am a pretty big tipper as I used to work in the service industry so on a 7.00 drink I usually top 3-5 dollars depending on the bartender.

Your ADR itinerary looks lovely... so many great choices! And two weeks at WDW sounds like heaven. :cloud9: I always feel like one week just isn't quite enough.

I don't think I could do less than 9 nights now. Unless I was doing 2 trips in a year.

Don't worry about Peep Fest... I'll get there somehow, by hook or by crook!

Kathy

It wouldn't be the same w/o you.

That 5 dollars is my fudge factor. Say I'm at World Showcase and want a Grey Goose Slushie, some of those 5 dollar snacks I've allotted can go for that. However, on the WS day, I did budget 15 dollars for snacks knowing I'd probably have 1-2 drinks around the world....:thumbsup2. The money I've allocated for drinks is strictly for my nightly "waiting for a drunk story" drinking.

You're probably right about the girls.......

Ah-ha! That's good thinkin' :thumbsup2

Too funny... "waiting for a drunk story" :lmao:

There you have it my budget day-by-day. 30 dollars will get me 3 premium beers and tip (6-7 dollar/beer). 50 dollars will get me 4 mixed drinks at 7-8.50 a pop plus tip. I pad those just a little to give me wiggle room. I also pad the money for snacks...

:
The budget looks really good. But don't you get snack credits? I was just wondering why you have $5 for snack each day if you have snack credits. :confused3 You could use that 5 bucks on something else if you use the credits. :thumbsup2

I was thinking the same thing about having a snack on the DDP but good to see you have more than just the edible snacks in mind.;)

I was at home around 12:15am and I get a call from the girls youth leader and said her car alarm is going off. She also says she didn't even know she had one. Come to find out her car is right next to the church alarm. The alarm automatically sets at midnight and it went off. The cops came.

The same exact thing happened at a youth sleep-over I was at 30-some years ago! The cops appeared at the door of the room we were in and asked who was in charge. We kids pointed to our youth leader. At that moment he was looking through an AMF Viewmaster. He was looking at some scene where some dogs were running amok in a kitchen and knocked a bunch of hot dogs onto the floor. The room got quiet except for him saying, "oh the dogs are on the floor now." We teased him relentlessly ever after.

Your budget is fantastic. So smart to break everything down. I wish Disney would add an option to the dining plan to include adult drinks other than wine. A bottle of wine every night is not appealing. Now, a bottle of Grey Goose, different story ;)
It's too bad free dining isn't offered in February.
Would adding the DDP be cheaper than paying OOP for your AKV portion of the trip?

I was wondering the same thing about adding DDP for the AKV part. I'm sure you've compared already.

I wish they'd add an adult beverage option too however I'm going to relook at the wine thing for our next trip. If memory serves it's one bottle for your whole party, not each...need to recheck. It still is pricey, they assume a bottle of wine is $40 each. Bleh.

This is why we have Garden Grocer bring us some beer and wine for the room and try to keep the drinks out to one during the day and one at dinner, helps bring the OOP cost down quite a bit.

I got some food too, but the real bad part was I caused a traffic jam in the drive-thru line.

I budget about 350. Here's the breakdown on that:

Mom: 50
Dad: 50
Roommate 1: 50
Roommate 2: 50
Rest is for me: 150 (This usually gets me 2-3 t-shirts, a baseball cap or two and a sweatshirt).

I may need to up the souvie budget.......

I called the girl's leader and when she asked if they were hungry you could hear them in the background all going "ooooooooooooo"

LOL tacos! I bet they were inhaled in minutes. I remember what I ate like at that age. My dad thought I had tapeworms.

Nice gifities for mom, dad and the roomies! That seems like a fair souvie budget, we do $50 pp and it worked out really well. I'll probably have to up it a little for IOA/HRH, maybe $75...

Alcohol is expensive. It's where restaurants make alot of profit.

Thanks Jenn. It would be great to add some sort of alcohol credit. Figure out how that would work and send the idea off to WDW..;)

Actually, for the AKV portion the DDP would actually run a bit more. Plus, at Jiko and Brown Derby, I do not want the most expensive thing on the menu so I wouldn't be getting the full value of using 2 TS credits. Thanks for checking though. I did go back and double check. I would much prefer to do the DDP than not.

That's always my issue at the 2 TS places...

Ah...so those are liquid snacks....not your DDP snacks.....got it.

I love the Bonus Jonas update hahahahahah OMG! OK and I am SO happy that you're going to do lunch at Sanaa...SO GOOD!

I'm a teen youth sponsor at my church and I just had to laugh!! LOL!! If the alarm went off at our church I would have been freaking out too!!!

Love the run for tacos LOL!!!

Your budget looks good Jordan!

Hey Jordan,
If that's how detailed your vacation budget is, you put my household budget to shame!! I must admit, pretty good for a single guy!:)

Great last 2 updates. Your budget looks very detailed and thorough. I am glad that you can still do all you want to even after the laptop purchase. You were sweet to go get all those tacos.

Chapter 71. Budget analysis.

. I've planned for a few nights at ESPN...We're just going to have to see how this one pans out...I've got enough money set aside in case I need to let loose, but I don't see a repeat of Arizona. At least my uncle and aunt won't be there...:rolleyes1
those pictures are hillarious!:lmao::lmao:
I would love to see you explaining to your room mate why you need those pics taken.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

if you do decide on a repeat of Arizona, you should feel better knowing that I'll be there, camera in hand, to doccument for your tr and get you safely back to your room.

I think Peter may be having a dookie moment of his own.

:rotfl2: that is one disturbing peter pan

I'd like to witness some of these "drunk stories" in real life. I'm a little curious and a lot scared!

Winkers here's what we'll do if Jordan attracts another drunk !! There's some decent bushes by Petals , we'll hide in them with cameras in hand and take pix thru out the whole magnet meeting !! Should we bring a recorder too !!! Then it wouldn't be a "SILENT" movie:lmao: Heck we need camcorders, lights tooo:rotfl: Maybe we could borrow the firedepartments ladder so we can get an eagle view !!:rotfl2: Do ya think DJ would help or disown us !!! I really think Blue should join us too !! After all she does have Theatrical background and could DIRECT the 2 of us !!!;) Hey maybe she could interview the Star !!(DRUNK) :rotfl2:

Rosie, I'm in as long as I can wear mickey camoflauge and a helmet with tree branches attached.....I'm a method actor.:thumbsup2
