The last time we had these tickets through air miles, we went to Disney Springs guest services to show our proof of residency and exchange the green cards for park tickets.

This time the ticket codes were emailed to us by air miles and they are now on MDE.
Do I still need to go to Disney Springs guest service or any park ticket window. Can it be done at MK? Thanks!

We've provided proof of residency for Canadian tickets at MK GS. If you're going for park opening, I would allow for time in line as I believe it took about 30 mins for us to get through the GS line when we were there.

Is MK GS located outside the park? We aren’t doing any parks our first night since we arrive early evening. But we are staying at the Contemporary and could walk over to MK GS. Thanks!

I've never actually provided proof of residency - only citizenship. I provided my passport (I'm Canadian but don't live there).

Yes. You will go through security but not enter the park. GS is to right of the tap stiles at the MK.

I have these tickets as well. Why would one need to attend GS to activate/provide proof of anyting if they've already sent the code and they're linked to MDE?

I'm copying a post I wrote for someone else who asked a similar question a while ago. We went in May 2024 on the discounted tickets. This is about 2 tickets I had linked in the app, one for me and one for my husband. We went to Disney Springs on our arrival day, and the cast member did take a bit of time on verifying us both. Bonus, we got physical park tickets (which are a fun, free souvenir) after they were done verifying us (I assumed it was in case the digital ones messed up?).

"We bought our tickets separately, both getting the Canadian 5-day deal. We had enough Air Miles to get mine from AM, and we had enough money on a Disney GC to get DH's direct from WDW.
In the app, mine has a yellow header, and red text "NOT VALID FOR ADMISSION, Must show ID at ticket window before using" but his has a blue header, and no red message.
Thankfully we have time to go to DS on arrival day."

A subsequent question to this thread - is proof of Canadian citizenship required for children? Helping a friend who will be visiting and their party is 2A and 2C. Should they take all 4 passports with them or is proof only required for the adults in the party?

It's been a number of years since we had Canadian residency tickets.

TIA!

When we were there in 2024 we were told yes, the kids had to come too. But, after dragging them to Disney Springs to activate them, they said they didn't need their ID. They said they didn't need my dh's either, just activated them with my ID as we were all connected.

I think it depends who you get. Hopefully someone reports with a more recent experience activating them.

In the disney app, what color is the banner on their ticket page? If blue they won't need to show proof of residency.
