LOL at the pictures Jordan...those were too funny!!!

Budget is looking good!!! I hope you'll be able to make it to the Flying Fish I have heard great reviews of the restaurant!

FYI if you ever need advice on a computer/laptop/any electronics ask away...KC is the ultimate in deals for that kind of stuff. He just got a new netbook and that thing does everything and it wasn't too bad in price!

I also forgot to tell you that last month we went out for dinner and ended up going to a restaurant in SoHo called "Peep". I took a picture of the sign but can't find it at the moment,. It made us think of u! It was thai food tho, so yummy.

So far the plans are looking great! I may be weaseling my way to WDW for my birthday come june, if only just for one night, or for one dinner.

I think Peter may be having a dookie moment of his own.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::worship: That's the best one yet, Lessa!

Talk about way TMI!!!! You're all having way more fun than humans should be allowed to have! :rotfl2: Can't wait to see the brown T-shirts. My DGD would come in the bathroom with me and immediately make a "raspberry" sound with her mouth before she could ever talk. I was a little embarassed by her impression of me! :goodvibes

Jordan, your before and after pics look like they belong to your dook story.:lmao:Your budget sounds good. We were fine on $1400 for two of us for 7 days.

Winkers - loved the play by play! :worship::worship::worship:

You are all getting so close to your FEB Peep fest!!!! or Poop fest? I can't wait to see the reports!

That seems like a pretty hefty budget if you've prepaid for the DDP for both parts but some of your TS is OOP, right?

We spent 1000 OOP on top of the DDP last year but that included an awful lot of extra's like MSB, Spa and SeaRaycers plus tips and drinks. We had one meal OOP but that was it. I don't include my garden grocer order in my budget as it was about my weekly grocery budget if we'd been at home so I figure that just fit in there instead. But that was bascially for 6 nights and 6 days so....I dunno. Given our crap flight times that 7th night doesn't count and we lost 2 full days to travel. It doesn't include souvies though. I'm hoping to keep ours at 1K this trip not including OOP meals, groceries and souvies but I might be smoking crack!

I'm only doing DDP for the Pop portion. I'm OOP for the AKV portion. I'm going to clarify with follow up post.

$90 to upgrade from the QSDP isn't bad at all. I think the dining plan is so worth it. I HATE budgeting for food because I can't stick to a budget.

Did you budget for souvenirs?

Thanks for the info on Cali Grill. I'm thinking of adding that to the list for August.

Jenn,

It wasn't bad to upgrade I was surprised.

I did budget for souvies:thumbsup2

The pork tenderloin...sooooooo good.

First....love the pics. :lmao:

Next... It looks like you've got it all figured out quite nicely. I agree about not canceling flying fish until you get closer to the day. You never know, you may be able to swing it.
"drunk fest arizona" hee hee :rotfl:

I'm hoping to keep it, but I won't be disappointed if I have to drop it. It will give me a bit more flexibility with my time.

Budget looks good, Jordan, but where's the money for souvenirs? (Tell me you buy souvenirs -- you do, don't you??? ;))

Souvenirs? What are those? Yes, I do have money budgeted. I'll do a follow up post to go into more detail

Had to play catch-up! Your budget looks good to me, but being a spendthrift, and not having been to WDW for 20 yrs..take that as you will.. Woohoo for upgrading to DDP!

Love the before and after pics..and thankful there's no way to put sound in a message. Poor Piper finds it impossible to do her thing without sound effects which has resulted in some very funny facial expressions in public restrooms! I've tried coaching her not to make noise, but, doesn't work. I guess I should just be glad she doesn't have a thing about going in public restrooms since it seems a lot of people do. We'd be hauling butt *literally* home way tooooooo often if she did. (CF thing there with malabsorption..she scores at least 3-4 times daily.)

I'm with the other question askers..no souvenirs?

I feel bad for Piper. But it is what it is, isn't it.

I will have an update about my budget sometime later today.

I've been to Flying Fish 4x and it has never disappointed.

I may take you up on that KatG.

I would die for a picture of that.

wow. one night? that would be so cool to fly in and out....it would be hard to do from the West Coast though.

Poop Fest.....too funny!

I will be updating and talking a bit more in depth about my budget later on sunday

Chapter 72. It's 3am...do you know where your child is?

So it's 3:10am Sunday morning, I'm trying to go to sleep, but can't. I got roped in at the last minute to chaperone the High School Girls sleepover at church. With these girls, there's always some kind of drama. I was at home around 12:15am and I get a call from the girls youth leader and said her car alarm is going off. She also says she didn't even know she had one. Come to find out her car is right next to the church alarm. The alarm automatically sets at midnight and it went off. The cops came. The girls are scared and they asked if I could come back to protect them. HA! If someone actually tried to break in, I'd be the first one screaming...;)

So I went home to get a sleeping bag. On the way back, I called and asked if they were hungry...20 tacos later.........

There you have it my budget day-by-day. 30 dollars will get me 3 premium beers and tip (6-7 dollar/beer). 50 dollars will get me 4 mixed drinks at 7-8.50 a pop plus tip. I pad those just a little to give me wiggle room. I also pad the money for snacks...

Woohoo for midnight taco runs...though somehow I doubt that's what you were thinking! 'm glad you budget for souvies! And I like that you put in wiggle room. Not surprised though, you're a great planner :)

Souvenirs? What are those? Yes, I do have money budgeted. I'll do a follow up post to go into more detail

Whew! I was worried for a minute. It's not a real trip if you don't bring home any loot. :rotfl:

Too funny about the girls wanting protection and tacos! You are a hero, Jordan! ;)

Your budget is fantastic. So smart to break everything down. I wish Disney would add an option to the dining plan to include adult drinks other than wine. A bottle of wine every night is not appealing. Now, a bottle of Grey Goose, different story ;)
It's too bad free dining isn't offered in February.
Would adding the DDP be cheaper than paying OOP for your AKV portion of the trip?

I got some food too, but the real bad part was I caused a traffic jam in the drive-thru line.

I budget about 350. Here's the breakdown on that:

Mom: 50
Dad: 50
Roommate 1: 50
Roommate 2: 50
Rest is for me: 150 (This usually gets me 2-3 t-shirts, a baseball cap or two and a sweatshirt).

I may need to up the souvie budget.......

I called the girl's leader and when she asked if they were hungry you could hear them in the background all going "ooooooooooooo"

Your budget looks great! And makes me glad I don't drink. :lmao: Those suckers are expensive!

Alcohol is expensive. It's where restaurants make alot of profit.

Thanks Jenn. It would be great to add some sort of alcohol credit. Figure out how that would work and send the idea off to WDW..;)

Actually, for the AKV portion the DDP would actually run a bit more. Plus, at Jiko and Brown Derby, I do not want the most expensive thing on the menu so I wouldn't be getting the full value of using 2 TS credits. Thanks for checking though. I did go back and double check. I would much prefer to do the DDP than not.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: What you don't know is that the girls probably staged the entire thing just so you would bring them tacos!! :lmao:

The budget looks really good. But don't you get snack credits? I was just wondering why you have $5 for snack each day if you have snack credits. :confused3 You could use that 5 bucks on something else if you use the credits. :thumbsup2

What do you usually order at Brown Derby and Jiko? I've never tried Jiko and have only had the NY Strip at the Brown Derby. I'm always looking for other options.

For your Pop reservation, were you able to get the gift card?

It's so funny to compare a single man's budget to ours (family of four)!!
We're probably not that far off, though. The same $$ you allot for drinks gets used up by our kids on souvies and treats...

Your ADR itinerary looks lovely... so many great choices! And two weeks at WDW sounds like heaven. :cloud9: I always feel like one week just isn't quite enough.

Don't worry about Peep Fest... I'll get there somehow, by hook or by crook!

That 5 dollars is my fudge factor. Say I'm at World Showcase and want a Grey Goose Slushie, some of those 5 dollar snacks I've allotted can go for that. However, on the WS day, I did budget 15 dollars for snacks knowing I'd probably have 1-2 drinks around the world....:thumbsup2. The money I've allocated for drinks is strictly for my nightly "waiting for a drunk story" drinking.

You're probably right about the girls.......

I usually get the Cobb Salad at the Brown Derby.

at Jiko, the Short Ribs.
