Peeps 2. The Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Pt 2. Feb '10. 2/21-Final Chapter. Link to TR

Glad you pulled the binder back out and gave it the attention it deserves.

I have no idea where my trip binder even is. Haven't seen it in months, it is probably lost in the sea of mess that is my study closet. Poor binder. :guilty:

Love the binder pics! She looked so dejected in that first one, poor thing. Hooray for more ADRs! (More ADRs means more possible reviews!) I know what you mean about luggage getting dirty, though prob not China dirty, after seeing those pics!

I've lost count on how many itinerary versions I have....I think that means I win. ;) :rotfl2:

Poor Binder. Feeling all neglected. I'm glad you took her out and prettied her up. :thumbsup2

I had to do some groveling and begging to get back in her good graces. She wouldn't even look at me:

for info we needed in the parks, i printed out little 2 sided cards and laminated t hem and then just filled in the info with perminate sharpies and then i had spots that i could jot down notes that i needed while in the parks so i did not forget things that i knew i would, came in very handy.

thanks for voting.

thanks,

i put a link in my siggnature, so people on other threads i read can vote as well, just hope the link works, i tried it and it took me to the thanks for taking this survey page, i think because i had already taken it, i just need someone who has not taken the survey yet to try out the link and see if it works.

I took the survey....there are some great titles in there!!! This is fun game, I look forward to seeing who the winner will be.

Jordan, the pic of you making up with your binder almost made me spit coffee. Love it.

Your trips plans are looking very pretty in color! Glad to see you found your LGMH's too!

dan - i took your survey! can't wait to see what the results will be. there was some interesting stuff in there.

Chapter 59. Potpourri for 100 Alex.

great title. makes me think of the SNL skit of jeopardy where sean connery says, "i'll take the rapists for $200, alex." and then alex says, "do you mean therapists for $200?" :lmao:

Now that I was back in Binders' good graces. I worked on labeling the tabs. I updated and revised itineraries (draft 12, but who's counting--LL;)). I made a list for ADRs. I did spreadsheets:
adecnight005.jpg

just so you know, i'm forwarding this post to ray so he can see that i'm not the only one who does things like this. ;)

I also went to the local Home Depot for Lime Green Mickey Heads. :scared1::scared1:Did you know (I'm sure this is old news) that Disney wised up and now does paint sample strips like every other paint company. No more mickey heads!!!!!:scared1::scared1:

nooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i use these for countdowns for my clients. looks like i'll be making a trip to home depot on my way home from court today.

2/6-The Wave-Dis Dinner
2/8-Kouzzina-dis dinner
2/8-Tutto Italia-solo lunch
2/10-Prime Time Cafe
2/10-Kona Cafe
2/11-Raglan Road
2/13-Teppan Edo
2/14-Kona Cafe breakfast
2/14-Boma
2/15-Jiko
2/16-Brown Derby-lunch
2/16-Flying Fish
2/17-Sanaa

GREAT choices!!! i can't wait to try kouzzina, tutto and flying fish myself. and kona and boma are two of my favorites. :thumbsup2

Actually, it means I will probably work on it instead of cleaning. I don't think my priorities are out of whack at all! :upsidedow

Trip planning is always better than real life planning.

Me likey!!! And thanks for the info on the Mickey Heads. I will put out an APB for the last reserve of them for my countdown with the girls.

As for ADRs, your list is pretty much what I would do sans children. When you see my list of ADRs you will see the yin to your yang...T-Rex, CRT....:rotfl2:

At the Home Depot that I went to, they had both Mickey Heads and Paint Strip Samples, it looks like they are phasing out the Mickey Heads.

My cousin's ADRs look a bit different than mine, they have Chef Mickey's and Coral Reef picked especially for the kids.

I think someone already said this...it's for the mom who has little one's, she puts each outfit inside the ziploc to make getting ready easier, and also because everything seems to get wet in Florida. I guess there have been occasions when luggage was left out in the rain before being delivered to the WDW resorts, leaving the family with wet clothes for a few days.

I was the one who explained the ziplocs. In theory, I'd like the idea. I'd love to have all my clothes planned out by day and have the ready to go, but really it's just me and I'm a dude...not gonna happen.

That said, I TOTALLY understand why moms with kids do it. It saves valuable time in the morning.

Word on the crocs. ;)

Word....haven't heard that in a long time...

When I heard that I think of Vanilla Ice.;)

Binders demand a lot of groveling when you have been ignoring them!

They do;)

I always knew you had a woman out there somewhere. You sure know how to take care of 'em! You do croon to her, right??

Binder's better than nothing.

I thought you said you hated Excel?? Looks like you did pretty good to me!! :thumbsup2

I do. I did not make this spreadsheet. A friend passed it on to me in 2007. I just adjust it every year. Some cells are funky because I think there's a formula set for them, but I don't have a clue how to fix it...

You can really tell people's personalities from the titles they made up:thumbsup2

I just scared the pee out of my dog when I saw that and started laughing...
You know the same thing happned to me once...except it was an alarmingly robust pongu. Which led to a ban on Mexican food after 8PM by First Lady Biscuit. :sad2:

Jordan! Look at you getting your Excel on! Great job my friend! :thumbsup2 If the Excel formulas ever give you fits, email it to me and I'll see if I can tweak it for you. I'm glad you were able to reconcile with your binder. Hate to see a good relationship go down in flames.

Glad you pulled the binder back out and gave it the attention it deserves.

I have no idea where my trip binder even is. Haven't seen it in months, it is probably lost in the sea of mess that is my study closet. Poor binder. :guilty:

I had to clean my room before I found my old Trip Binder. That's where I found my old LGMHs.:thumbsup2

New Binder looks nice after I added more contents and made tab labels.

Love the binder pics! She looked so dejected in that first one, poor thing. Hooray for more ADRs! (More ADRs means more possible reviews!) I know what you mean about luggage getting dirty, though prob not China dirty, after seeing those pics!

If you look really closely, the big piece is missing a zipper.

Not quite sure if I'm taking both pieces. I may just take the big one and a backpack...we'll see.

I've lost count on how many itinerary versions I have....I think that means I win. ;) :rotfl2:

Poor Binder. Feeling all neglected. I'm glad you took her out and prettied her up. :thumbsup2

Is the ink even dry before you make a new version? Or have you even had a chance to get to the computer before changing resorts or ADRs or length of stay or air? You are the queen of mastering changes and rolling with it :worship:

glad you did not show the next picture in that sequence:goodvibes

Wendy will make everyone little pocket sized laminated versions of the itinerary to carry around. Last trip, I would come back to the room and compare what we actually did with what I had planned. It was about 50/50.

Thank Dan (FauntleroyFan) for coming up with it. He's been wanting to start his PTR since it's now just under six months. In fact...I wonder if he's made any ADRs yet? Guess we'll find out soon

I do them in color so I can just look at the entire page and see how much of one color I have. If I have too little light blue, it means that I'm not scheduling in enough down time. If I have 3 days of World Showcase, it probably means I don't need to schedule any free days to that Theme Park. I really like the color spreadsheet for those reasons.

great title. makes me think of the SNL skit of jeopardy where sean connery says, "i'll take the rapists for $200, alex." and then alex says, "do you mean therapists for $200?" :lmao:

I was thinking SNL when I came up with the Title. Sean Connery was the best!

The color spreadsheet is one of the most important planning tools.

there were still MANY, MANY colors that still were using the Mickey Heads. They were out of Lime Green though...:confused3:rolleyes1

Flying Fish is good. For me, it's more about tradition and nostalgia. It was probably one of the first upscale resort restaurants we went to beside CA Grill. I think our first dinner there was in 1997.

I'm using a friends template that she used in 07. I've used it for the last 3 trips including this one.
