Peeps 2. The Sweaty Asian Strikes Back. Pt 2. Feb '10. 2/21-Final Chapter. Link to TR

You’ll be happy to know that you now have an entire helpdesk team saying DaretXana. (Of course there’s only 3 of us, but it’s a start!)

JUst call me a terrific trendsetter. Always wanted to be "known" for something really amazing!

Hey Jordan- whats new over here?! I finally have a minute to catch up and wanted to stop in and say "HI"!

I’m exactly 3 hours and 4 minutes by Southwest jet. And seeing as how I’ll never willing drive it again, I couldn’t tell you my actual mileage either. I think it’s around 1100-1200. I guess I could Google Map it and see if I every get the urge to know.

Grumble...stupid Wright amendment...I would love to be able to get to Orlando on Southwest without having to go to Arkansas first!

OTOH - you DROVE there once? How long did that take?

For some reason that only ever bothered my plans when we lived in TX...weird. And somehow I managed never to fly out of LOVE.

No. That would make you the hero, dear, sweet lady.:hug::hug::hug::hug: :love::love::love: Anyone who adopts is always a hero in my book, and I'm pretty darn sure your daughters would say the same. ::yes::

You are very sweet, thanks. I have heard people say "you got your kids the easy way..." and stuff like that. I think it is just a different kind of hard. And I've known both bio parents and adoptive parents who had no trouble at all!

Ba-dump-bump-pish! :rotfl2: Your too cute for words. :cutie: :lovestruc

Well Thank you that makes me a Hero too , Judy is adopted !!:thumbsup2

Awesome! I have an aunt that was adopted. My dad says he was always told how special she was because she was "chosen". Made him and the brothers feel like chopped liver. I tell my girls that families are made all different kinds of ways. Like a family reunion...some arrive by car, some by plane, but they are all family and we're so glad to have each other. I have too many "coincidences" that tell me that my girls were "meant to be" mine. They literally just arrived differently than most. And I honestly love their birthparents for the parts they contributed to these amazing little girls. Okay, okay, somebody shut me up already!

PS - sorry Jordan, for the temporary hijacking of your thread.

You can't fly out of Love. I mean, you can, but only to somewhere else in Texas or a contiguous state - Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, what am I forgetting? New Mexico? Anyway - that's the Wright Amendment. They are slowly trying to expand things and now you can fly to St. Louis. Nifty. Now if only there was some reason I needed to fly to St. Louis.

To finish this boring bit of trivia - when they first built DFW it was in BFE and they were afraid no one would fly into/out of it because it was too far from downtown. So, Jim Wright (rep from TX and former speaker of the house) passed a federal law preventing flights from Love Field unless (blah blah blah, see above). It's just stupid now because zillions of people fly out of DFW every day and it's actually very centralized with the way Dallas has grown.

It irritates the heck out of me because we live 5 minutes away from Love Field, but unless we're going to New Orleans it does us no good. And Southwest is headquartered here. :headache: Interestingly, they are the ones most against repeal of the Wright amendment - they have no competition on those short routes out of Dallas.

It took us something like 21 to 22 hours. It was back in the 90's.

Hey Jordan.... Although I've been trying to follow along and am just a little bit behind (OK, maybe a lot behind! :faint:) I just realized I haven't posted since page three!! I can't see pics from work so I just skimmed through catching up.......

I like the bolding your doing and love the Peepfest in your siggie. :thumbsup2 I Can Haz Cheezburger (the flatulant cat :rotfl:) is hysterical ..... Gonna try harder to keep up!

Apparently I am no lady....
I wasn't going to admit it, but I didn't know who the guy in the pic was until you said. (Haven't read or seen any vampire movies since Brad Pitt was in one - yum!). But now I must confess because I have no ideas who Vera is? Had no idea how many adults wear crocs until I started reading TRs 3 months ago. Knew DandB but not the Disney line??? Just learned about BBB and ziploc packing. :rotfl2:

I was a Vera newbie too and while I am rather familiar with D&B I must confess...

I do not own a Vera, nor do I have any intention of every doing so.
The above can, and will be said, for Croc's.
I refuse to ziploc clothing.

Am I going to get kicked out?

and...

LOL Camille on the "normal" sized kids. I can relate. I've a 9lb 6oz and a 6lb 9oz. Talk about messing with your head going from one extreme to the other!

Normal apparently, is somewhere in the middle I'm told. All I know is I was convinced the 2nd one would break everytime I went to change his diaper since his big brother was born at the size of a 3 month old.

I agree that anyone who adopts is a hero!

Jordan......I give you a 13 tongue salute......
and one little girl who can't believ this is the family she ended up with...

It was right after taking this picture that my family staged their first intervention.

i love how the baby is the only normal one in the picture. :rotfl2:

That's hilarious! You need to save that pic for when the lil one is older..then you can pull it out and say.."You think I'm embarassing you now..we could all do this the next time your date comes over!"

I certainly hope not!! Although I do have a cozy pair of Gretels over here. Ziplocking clothes?? Why?? :confused3

I've been a spectator in my own PTR..:rotfl2:

Didn't Southwest originally have some sort of promo with "LOVE"?

Some laws outgrow themselves......too bad it hurts the people of the state and big business wins again.

If I were able to break the drive up and do some sight-seeing along the way, I'd do the cross-country drive...

I am really far behind... I better get my game face on and get to reading... :surfweb:

I'm behind too. Go figure.

I just appreciate you taking the time to pop in and say hey once in awhile!

The bolding came from Blueyed Girl. I can't take credit. I loved it too so I decided to do it. Thanks again Blue!!!!

I LOVE this pic!:rotfl2::rotfl2: I feel honored?????
