ownership transfer due to divorce

My husband and I are getting divorced and I got ownership of our DVC--HH contracts. I got information from MS about the process of taking my ex's name off of the deeds, but I'm confused. Has anyone done this? Do you have any advice? Do I need a real estate attorney? If so, how do I find one that can do a transaction in SC?

I had to take a friends name off of a deed. It was a matter of filing a quit claim but the timeshare handled it through their attorney in Florida.

You can also call the counties Register of deeds office and they can tell you what you need to do. If your unable to find their phone #'s PM me and i'll get them for you.
