I'm below average. Weird as I've been to over 2 dozen countries. I lived on the French border for years, went to Paris for a meeting once then back home. I'm not big on tourist spots.
6 currently. After by trip to New York in the fall it will be 8. Although to be honest, not sure there are many things on that list I even care to see. I finally went to the Grand Canyon 2 years ago.......and Yosemite last year. And I have lived 150 miles from Yosemite for 68 years. My kids went on school trips. I just never made it until last year.
I consider myself below average when it comes to traveling because I don't travel much, but I have been to London and New York. I didn't see the Empire State building, though. Did go to the top of the World Trade Center. My nephew wants to have a big family trip to London for his 40th birthday in 2028, and I would dearly love to go back. I thought London was the greatest city in the world.
15 so I guess I'm above average. A lot of the places I visited like the Great Wall, Taj Mahal, Buckingham Palace, were on business trips that I got there early or extended by a couple days,
I was just going to say something similar!!! I'm not sure that list is representative of being well travelled. Four are in or near Paris, 5 in NYC, 3 in London, and 2 in Rome. If you went to NYC or Paris for anything other than catching a connection at the airport you likely saw most of those sites.
I'm at 6, unless you want to count places that I have been "at" but not really "to." Like, I have walked by the Empire State Building, but never went up in it. I was in Tokyo and had some nice views of Mount Fuji, but I didn't climb it or anything.
