out of the loop...what is the room ready policy?

I've seen a few posts refer to it, but don't know what the heck you are talking about!

It is a system where they do not preassign rooms... so when you walk up to the front desk, they, then and there, try to match up your requests with a room that has already been cleaned or is soon to be ready....

Some people have different opinions on it, but I checked into BCV using "room ready" in December. and I loved it. There wasn't a room ready at that time that met my view request, so they told me what view I had available at that time. And they didn't just say "Epcot view"-they told me specifically how one room would have a better view of Canada, while the other overlooked SE. It was great, I thought, to be able to get into a room at 10:45 AM, and to get such specific info about it.

This is really interesting. Are they doing this at all the properties on all units?
