Disappointed doesn't even begin to explain it. :sad2::sad2::sad2: I kind of had a feeling he was going but even still, let's just say I shed a few tears over it. :sad1::blush:

haha, I know it'll be here soon, we are so spoiled by getting to go so often.

Today we are 3 months away from Disney World!! :yay::yay::yay: It sort of seems like a long time but with the school year winding down (17 days and counting!) it'll be here before we know it! :thumbsup2

I got an email today because I recently bought something on Disneyshopping.com and it said that they are selling park merchandise online! I guess it's to try and boost sales or something. I decided to check it out and there were some fun things. There was this really cute t-shirt with Cinderella Castle on it:

What do you guys think? I am really tempted to buy it so I can wear it when we go!

Man, now I really want to go watch the Full House! Ahhh I just love those! Oh yeah, another thing I think is so funny is at one point they are talking about Splash Mountain and Stephanie points in one direction and I am thinking um no, it is definitely NOT that way. Ohhh boy I am obsessed. :rotfl:

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

I think that same thing every time I watch that episode! Too funny. Btw, the two episodes come on next week. I think it's next Thursday. I've already set my DVR! :thumbsup2

LOVE that t-shirt, it's really cute!! I'd get it. But, I am kind of a t-shirt feign. You really can't have too many Disney shirts.

Did you decide on a VB bag? Did I miss that update?

I saw the same thing!! That shirt is cute! I was thinking of buying it myself! :rolleyes1

haha, we can be matching then!

I think you should get it! I love it! :thumbsup2

Isn't it cute? I think I am going to have to get it.

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl:OK, I am so glad I'm not the only one who thinks about that! We have been to WDW one too many times. ;) I will have to check the guide and see when it's on. I love those episodes so much, I never get sick of them!

No, you can't have too many Disney shirts. Plus some of mine are so old.

Buy the shirt, I love it!

Another vote to get the shirt!

Did you decide on a VB bag? Did I miss that update?

No, I still haven't decided so you haven't missed anything. ;) I keep going back and forth on the color  but I think I am going to go with the purple one. I just bought a retired VB bag so I am kind of holding off for a bit.

Hi everyone! Hope everyone had a good week and is ready for a nice holiday weekend. I took the day off of subbing to go to the museum with Dad and Emma to check out the Titanic exhibit since it ends on Monday. It was really cool, yet kind of sad. :sad1: We bought our tickets last night so we would be sure of getting a time. We spent a couple hours checking out the rest of the museum before seeing the Titanic stuff. There was quite a group waiting to get in! I guess a lot of people are going last minute. Anyways, more on the exhibit. Before you entered everyone received a boarding pass with the name of one of the passengers. There was a memorial at the end of the exhibit where you could check to see if your person survived or was lost. Emma and I ended up getting a mother and daughter who were traveling first class. Dad got a guy in 3rd class (I'm sure you can figure out which of us lived! ;)) The exhibit featured a lot of pictures and some actual artifacts that were retrieved from the ship. It was amazing to see some of the things...dishes, a suitcase, clothing, toiletries, even a big part of the ship. They also had model rooms of a first class cabin and a third class cabin. It said that the first class cabin was about $2500 back then, and today it would've cost $40,000! :scared1: There was obviously quite a difference in size and furnishings in the 2 cabins but it was interesting because they said that the 3rd class cabins on the Titanic were better than 2nd class cabins on other ships!

I forget who mentioned this (was it Kirsten??) but someone said something about an iceberg that you could touch. I didn't realize it was going to be real ice! Supposedly the actual water was colder than the iceberg which was hard to imagine if you felt it.

There were also profiles of some of the passengers along the way. It was so sad reading the story about a minister who tried to calm the passengers after they hit the iceberg and then the orchestra who continued playing while they were getting the people off the boat. :sad2: It was very touching, I have to admit I had some tears in my eyes reading some of the quotes (I am such a sap).

So overall it was a really cool experience and I'm glad we decided to go. Definitely check it out if you ever get the chance. :thumbsup2

Sorry for that rambling, now on to Disney!! We're down to 90 days, which means it's time for...

Magical Memory #2!

I thought for this one I'd focus on one of my favorite resorts...the Polynesian.

As you can see in my signature, we stayed at the Polynesian on several of our trips so it definitely holds a special place in my heart. After five stays there, I have a bunch of memories from the resort. I asked Dad a while ago why he decided on the Polynesian and one of the reasons was because of the great location and of course the monorail. I think that's one of the things I remember most from staying there, all those mornings heading to the Great Ceremonial House and up to the monorail platform. We all just loved it (especially Emma).

Some other memories I have from the Polynesian:
:wizard: Getting leis upon arrival at the resort.

:wizard: Getting lunch at Captain Cook's and then going swimming while we waited for our room to be ready.

:wizard: Playing on the beach!

I don't know how many times we'd go down there and hang out. I remember one trip we met some kids from Virginia (I think) and started playing with them. One other time we were out on the beach and spotted this couple making out. So me, my sisters, and this one other boy started throwing sand at them. :rotfl:

:wizard: We also loved the pool there. The slide was the best! One time in the quiet pool we met this girl from Detroit and started playing with her. It was so crazy because on our next trip, which was a couple years later, we were down at the pool and thought we saw her again. Turns out she recognized us too!

:wizard: Coming back to the resort at night and seeing all the torches lit as we walked back to our room. That was so cool!

:wizard: Breakfast with Minnie.

Because we loved staying there so much, we always enjoy going back to visit. It definitely brings back all these memories when we do that!

As much as I love the DVC resorts, I still think the Polynesian is my favorite. I love the atmosphere, the location, and of course the fact that it's on the monorail loop. Like Dad said, even though you're right in the middle of all the excitement you don't feel like it at the Poly. You really do feel like you're in a different little world. Hopefully some day we will get to stay there again. :goodvibes

That Titanic exhibit sounds amazing! I would definitely be the one almost crying right next to you LOL I wish there was something like that by me.

OMG...the Polynesian...SO BEAUTIFUL!!! When we were in WDW last month my BF and I went there exploring and fell in love with it!! We are going to save for years and years just so we can stay there. Its soooo perfect and serene and definitely up there on my favorite resort list. You and your sisters were cute little kids!! :cutie:

Yeah, the Titanic exhibit was so awesome. It was neat to see all the actual items from the ship. And it was interesting reading about all the people too.

The Polynesian is such a pretty resort. Who knows if we'll ever stay there again with DVC now though. I know you can use DVC points there but it's a lot more per night so it's not as good of a deal as it is with the DVC resorts.

My friend just told me about the Titanic exhibit and said it was awesome, too. I'm sorry I missed it. It was here a few weeks ago.

I really like the Polynesian and would love to stay there one day.

That's funny that you were throwing sand at the couple making out! Haha. It's such a kid thing to do! :rotfl2:

Yep, that was me who mentioned the iceberg. I thought it was really neat how they did that. Glad to hear you enjoyed it, even though it is really sad.

Loved the Poly pics. I've never been there before! We're planning on taking the WL boat over to the Contemporary to check out all the monorail resorts. I'm hoping to convince Aaron to stay and watch Wishes on the Poly beach. Cross your fingers for me!!

Can't believe we're both down to double digits...so exciting!! :dance3:

Wow, the Titanic exhibit sounds really neat! I can't believe that room would cost $40,000 today! Yikes!

Aw..those are some great pictures from the Poly. It is a great resort. I too have some great pictures of me and Sis growing up when we stayed there a few times.

Love love love that episode of full house! From them at the GF, to Danny at Vicky at the Coral reef, The magic kingdom. The whole episode just can put me in such a good mood when I watch it. Lol I hope that doesn't sound dorky.

That Titanic exibit sounds so interesting. I wish something like that would come around here.

How exciting that you are under 90 days now! Your trip will be here before you know it. Your Poly pictures are beautiful and how lucky that you got to stay there before! Thanks for sharing those pictures!

Hi there! I have been catching up on your PTR and I just finished. I know that I am very behind in this thread, but I'll just say a few things...

* Your NY pictures are so great. I used to work for a company that had it's corporate office there and we visited a few times. I think your pictures really capture the energy of Times Square. One of the last times that I was there in NY was the month before 9/11 and we were on the top of the World Trade Center. It was SO beautiful and to this day is my favorite NY memory. We have some great pictures that make me cry to this day when I look at them.

* I am in the minority here, but I like the purple bag the best. ;)

* I am a huge AI fan and Danny was my pick to win from the very beginning. It was a very good season. How lucky for you that you got to see him in person!

Congrats on being at the 90 day mark!

haha yeah, I don't remember how old we were on that trip but I guess we were pretty grossed out! :rotfl:

Yeah, I thought it was so interesting at first and then we got to the part where it got into hitting the iceberg and the people who didn't make it. Not that that wasn't interesting either...it was just kind of depressing. :sad2:

Oh, you have to go visit the Polynesian! You'll love it!

I KNOW, yay for double digits!:banana::banana:

That blew my mind!

It's always fun looking back at those old pictures from past trips. :thumbsup2

Hi Cheryl! Welcome back! Oh no, that doesn't make you sound dorky at all, I am the same way. Whenever it is on I seriously cannot leave the room...I don't want to miss any Disney (even though I've seen them about a hundred times)!

Maybe some day it will come out by you. I just looked and it goes to Minneapolis next.

I can't believe we're under 90 days. I feel like once the school year ends it's going to go even quicker. :woohoo:

Hi! :welcome: to my PTR.

Aww, that is such a neat memory from the WTC. I would be the same way looking at pictures. :guilty:

I think I have decided to go with the purple one! I am probably going to buy it next week since I just got a gift card. Might as well use it.

It was so cool getting to go to Danny's homecoming. He actually just got home yesterday and they were having another homecoming thing but I couldn't go. Oh well. I can't wait to see him and the rest of the idols on the tour!

Hi there,
I finally made it over to your PTR. Your plans look great! VWL is a good choice :thumbsup2. I share your feeling for the Poly though :cloud9:. Love the old pics of you and your DS at Disney and at Poly, too cute.

I have to back track, I'm on your last page and I see you saw Danny from American Idol.
I followed your link, from my TR.
