Optional dress-up gone for the Dream?

Sorry but I am a sheep and will only dress up if many others are as well!
I was surprised on my last 2 cruises how many people actually looked like they cared about the dining rooms. Can't comment on the dress up night as we usually do Palo those eveinings.

hello! Saw a recent Jan navigator that didn't list optional dress-up. Did they discontinue it for 3 and 4 night dream sailings?? I'm sailing 4 nights in March.
Thanks!
I didn't bother to read all of the comments; however, it is always an option to dress up. No one will remove you from an MDR if you wear a ball gown or tuxedo.

I can't speak for others, but the reason I was inquiring is bc I am hoping Minnie will be wearing her formal wear on Optional Dress Up nite for our family's photos.

The ship /decor is so gorgeous i can't relate to those that don't at least try to look a little nice. But that's just me.

This! I have never understood why people feel like they have to dress down simply because a night isn't designated "dress up". It was always optional anyway - but no one is going to say "you are too dressed up to come in".
Exactly my thoughts. I'm going on a 4 night cruise and I plan to dress up everynight but Pirate night just because I love it. I don't mind how everyone else dresses, to each his own! but I don't have many chances to wear my nice dresses so they are going to the cruise! princess:

Those are excellent points. Mickey and Minnie probably won't be decked out in their fancy clothes on a cruise casual night.

I agree that some people dress like pigs in the MDR. You would think they were dining at Cracker Barrel instead of a beautiful dining room on an expensive cruise.

We just came home Monday from our 3 night Dream cruise. The last night was optional dress up. We wore nice but not formal dresses and the men wore sport coats without ties.

We're on the March 13 Dream cruise too! I'll pack clothes to dress up since we have Palo brunch reservations anyway. My 6-year old is really looking forward to wearing his tie, so look for us to be dressed up one evening.

We have been on 4 nights and a 3 nights DCL cruises and have late seating at the MDR. Not once have we seen anyone in formal or cocktail wear. I've seen anything from shorts and tee shirts to sun dresses. Dress how you want within the guidelines. If you want to be formal...go for it!

We've only done 7- and 8-nts on our DCL cruises. .. looks like the attire in the MDRs is another thing we'll have to adjust to on our 3-nt/4-nt B2B. We thought the formal and semi-formal nights were a lot of fun with so many, including staff, dressed up so nicely. Oh, well.
