Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party 2024

WOC does not run during OBB. Only on nights without OBB.
Weirdly there is a sign up at GCH entrance saying it’s on tonight. ETA: perhaps they just don’t remove the sign on nights with OBB. I did see the sign up on Tuesday too.

Maybe the sign-mover is out sick this week. It's definitely not on the entertainment calendar.

I agree everyone enjoys different things about the parties. The first few times we went my kids just wanted to ride everything with the shorter lines. Last year we did an adults only trip and only rode a few things and focused more on party exclusives. This year we’re taking my 19 year old son and his friend and if they don’t want to do what we want to do they can go off on their own.

As for eating, I agree that I don’t want to waste precious party time on a meal. We usually eat during the insanity of the mix in. Last year we had a great meal at Lamplight Lounge at like 4:30 and when we were finished they were starting to usher people towards the exits. We’ll be doing the same thing this year!

I'll be at Lamplight at 4:05pm for a meal, lol. It's the perfect time to have a meal and usually can carry till the end of the night, especially if you snag some treats as you go.

FWIW, we did MNSSHP this year and I found it frustrating that there were SO MANY party only exclusive treats. Even if you’re willing to devote 100% of the party to standing in line for snacks, it was just too much to eat in one day. We made it to 3-4 stops and enjoyed sampling junk food (we always eat before party hours), but I think there’s a happy medium between 3 and 20+.

I am SO behind on planning for our trip for OBB. We haven't been since it was not even called OBB and was held in DL. We previously never did the candy lines, and really don't want to this time unless we need to. Im reading through posts and it looks like many characters are in the treat lines, so its best to not to skip the treat line this time right?

Our main goal is characters, parade, anything thats not at Disney any other day of the week, not rides or candy.

The treat lines have some of the most amazing characters! I would check out the lines that have the characters you’d like to see the most. We did some of them twice, the actors are so great!

Last year our favorites were Ernesto de la Cruz, Oogie Boogie, Judge Doom and Sid from Toy Story.

My son will be over the moon to see Ernesto! So I guess we are doing treat lines, he wont be disappointed by that either. :)

Bummed out. Just noticed World of Color:One will be down starting Sept 9th until .... unstated. We'll be there October 9th and flying out the 15th, so maybe we have a small chance? If it's back up, man the virtual queue was so clutch to have a guaranteed spot to watch with great views.

It is under refurb from September 9th to October 24th. I am going a little later in September and it’s pretty frustrating. They didn’t give any warning it would be happening so people could plan.

Has any hotel guest been successful of getting an extra ticket to a party this year? We had someone ask if they can join us on the trip.

Wait, is it back Oct 26th? I leave at 4pm on the 27th…
I haven’t seen anything official from Disney but the rumor on some of the sites is that it will be back by the 25th. So it might work out for you. I partly planned my trip around seeing it on 9/23 before they made any announcement so I’m out of luck.

is that the ride before the party or during the party? I forget which is which. lol

Great version of the ride though!!
