Online Reservation Trouble! 9/12-9/16

I was on hold for 30 minutes also was told to call back in 90 minutes...:headache:

They should just have a recording they can turn on that says the system is down!
 
I just got off the phone with them and was told the system was down and they have no ETA as to when it will be back up. I was on hold for 30 minutes just to be told this. How frustrating!

I just called back and the system is back up and they answered right away. Odd how I'd just hung up 2 minutes prior and they were telling me different things.
 
Well, I came here to find out if something was wrong with the system - and I guess it is! So I suppose I'll hold off on calling for a while. *sigh*

And I got up early for this?

As a former Customer Service Rep, may I be so forward as to remind you (and I probably don't need to for most of you) that the people working on the phones aren't responsible for the system being down and they probably wish more than you that there was a recording telling people that the system is down, because they have had to talk to one angry person after the next who was on hold for essentially no good reason.

Sorry if that was...annoying. I haven't had coffee yet.
 

I called 5 times this morning. On my 5th try (just now) I was told that the system is back up & I was able to make our Candlelight Processional package reservations. Just keep trying. Good luck!
 
I JUST NOW called, and was told the system was down, and to call back in half an hour.
 
Just called twice more because I had to change around my ADRs a little. The first person told me the system was down and to call back in an hour. The second person answered right away and made the reservations I needed(though she was mumbling that things didn't seem to be working right;)). If someone tells you the system is down keep calling!
 
There were two active discussions about the online reservation system problems on the main page, so we merged them together. This way it's easier for everyone to monitor when the system comes back up. :goodvibes
 
Hey, never could get the online system to work for me and I kept calling back to 407 WDW-DINE. I got through to a CM who said her system was up but she was one of the few who was able to book with the system down. Apparently some of their reservation agents could book and others couldn't. By calling back to see if the system was up yet I got one of the lucky ones who was able to work. I made all of my reservations finally and mostly got what we wanted. Phew! Glad that's over with... wish I could go back to bed now but my 2 year old twins and their Daddy will be up any minute now:)
 
I called right back after getting someone who said her system was down, and got someone who's system was working. And she seemed to understand it's quarks, which is always good (for instance, I wanted to book a breakfast at the Grand Floridian Cafe for just myself while my DGS was on the Pirate cruise - and it showed no reservations available...but then she tried it for 2 people - because she said sometimes the system won't "find" a table for one - and it did work).

We're on the DxDDP - so I was booking every single meal for 8 days - we got all but 2. A couple had to take times later than I wanted, but it will be fine. I think. :thumbsup2
 
Worked for me at 4am, but at 4:56 am it started acting up so I started checking out with just 1 restaurant ADR at a time and it worked. YAY. I even checked now at 9:32am and there was still a few CRTs and Lecelliers left.....even though we didn't want either of those hot spots, I wanted to check to see how fast everything filled up for December FD.
 
I had issues last night too. I kept getting the page display error after everything was in my cart. When I thought I had everything booked I never did get a confirmation email and later seen the dining reservations were cancelled. AFTER that when I finally got CRT and the Spirit of Aloha to go through they ended up charging my card even though we have disney dining plan. So I had to call DVC member services about that issue...Headaches! :headache: I'm so gonna be crashing for a nap later. :rolleyes1
 
It means their site is freaking out and cannot handle the traffic or they are having server issues. Same ol' story, same ol' Disney. ;)
 
Worked for me at 4am, but at 4:56 am it started acting up so I started checking out with just 1 restaurant ADR at a time and it worked. YAY. I even checked now at 9:32am and there was still a few CRTs and Lecelliers left.....even though we didn't want either of those hot spots, I wanted to check to see how fast everything filled up for December FD.

I managed to get CRT for the 15th, no problem, though a little later than I originally hoped, but that's ok. But I had to make the reservations the old fashion way - with a cast member on the phone. Still, it worked out well. She was able to tell me that sometimes the system won't take a table for 1, even though a table for 2 is available (just a glitch). Which worked out well for my GFC brunch while DGS is on his pirate cruise.

Kind of scary, though - I'll also be there, at the Pop Century 12-20, and I'm coming down from Georgia. Hmmm....but I'm NOT stalking you. Really. :grouphug:
 
So, are their problems the reason I am not able to book? It lets me book for the first day of my trip but not the rest. I am staying on property. Should I call or wait? I don't have any of the "biggies" like LeCellier.

This is what happened to me and then I went back...rebooked everything and checked out. I then found out it had accepted my first set of ressies and charged me for those as well as the second set. I was hours on the phone trying to get this fixed. Double check everything! Especially your credit card (we had booked crt and spirit of aloha)
 
It is only allowing me the option of booking on the first day of my trip. I am staying on property, so I should be able to book now, right? Is it me or is the beloved dining system malfunctioning again? I was looking forward to booking these online and taking my time.
 
I added my confirmation number (I arrive on 12/13) and it still doesn't give me the option to do the 90 + 10 days before. I can only book up til 12/12.
 
I never entered it, and I never was asked/so anywhere to enter it.I am logged in and assumed it would connect with my reservtion.
