One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

:rotfl2: That is what I've been doing wrong all these years! I need to start bring beer fishing

Well now you know what you need to do the next time you go. Or I found when I was younger gummy bears worked pretty good too. :rotfl2:

Judy you guys look great!! Sounds like it was a fun day!!!

Great job with the Team Princess Lisa shirts. And the tiaras for the girls, perfect! :thumbsup2

Sounds like it was a very successful day.

I am caught up again:banana: Wow I have missed so much. Your page really took off lol!

Tracey, your nephew is precious! I am and will be praying for him and your family. I'm sorry I cannot help on the restaurants. We have only been to Chef Mickey's. We loved it!

Judy, I am so glad your colonoscopy and mammogram went well. Hopefully your surgeries will have fairly quick recoveries and fix what ever it is that is going on. Always praying for you!

The camp looks amazing! We go to a tube feeding camp with Ty in Kentucky. It is similar in it has different themed weekends for different diagnosis/ etc. We are looking forward to going again next year and this time with Sierra as she has not been able to go due to school. They really do alot with the kids! I love your camp pictures. Looks like a very fun camp! I'm not so sure about that kissing the fish picture:rotfl: I won't even touch a fish let alone put it up to my face! But I do love Rachels picture!

I love the Walk for Wishes shirts and everyone ROCKS them! I wish I could come walk with you! We are hoping to travel to the Mitochondrial Disease Walk next year as there is none in our area.

Thoughts and prayers to all out there who need them this week!

I am getting ready to start my pretrip report finally!!

HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY to all of our service Men and Women who have served, including my Dear Husband and their families sacrifices as well!!

I want to Thank each and everyone of you for your good wishes and support for our Make a Wish Walk. A HUGE special Thanks to those of you who donated to our Team, it meant so very much to us! Next year we hope to raise as much as we have for the past two years combined (a little more than $1,500, so that will be our goal...I better get started soon).

We had a great time at the walk, although it was different in many ways from last year. We met Deborah, as you all know, which was a completely unexpected surprise, she walked up to the girls and I and began naming who we were and in spite of never having seen a picture of her, I KNEW it was her. Thank you for coming all that way to support us Deborah! Shortly after she found us, Kelly (Emily’s Mom) also found us. Emily wasn’t well enough to attend; however, Kelly brought her daughter, Bailey and her friend. Deborah joined my family for the walk, I sat out, I am having some residual effects from my colonoscopy, hoping that resolves soon. No complaints, just stating the facts. It was a great day and we were happy to see everyone’s smiling faces. They had asked everyone to dress to represent the child’s wish, so the girls and I were in our tiaras and Lisa’s W/C was decked out with signs, garland and Lisa’s beautiful smile, after all she is FAMOUS!

After the walk, we took Christian up to pick up his car from the mechanics. He had to take it back today and I am getting ready to drop him off as Lisa and I go to Lisa’s MD appointment. $450 for the repair, ouch...

Enough of that, enjoy the pics. I have to run.

Nice pictures from the Make-a-Wish walk. That was nice of Deborah to come out to meet you and the family. Hope you are feeling better today. Keeping you and all those in need in prayer! Happy Veteran's Day!

Judy, Love the matching shirts! Hope you had a good weekend.

DisNorth, favorite meal is Crystal Palace before the park opens in the morning.
Getting to go into the park before it opens sounds magical :thumbsup2

Well now you know what you need to do the next time you go. Or I found when I was younger gummy bears worked pretty good too. :rotfl2:
Will have to try both those. Probably works better than my singing to the fish, which drives my fishing-partners nuts. :lmao:

Glad to know you enjoyed Chef Mickey's

The photos are fabulous!
Sorry Christian has car troubles, mechanic bills are never fun!

My project this weekend has been in my craft room working on Emile's quilt: (sorry it's not the best photo)

I am happy to report Emile is doing great, he is now 2lbs, 11oz!

Today is Remembrance Day here in Canada. I am off to the ceremony and then will probably retreat back to the craft room, I was very productive yesterday and I have some Christmas presents to work on (and I have the day off work :cheer2: )

I loved the pictures of the Make a Wish walk, it looks like you all had a lot of fun. :grouphug: Thank you to your family for your service Judy. I hope you feel better.

Tracy, the quilt is beautiful. I am so happy Emile is doing well. Happy Remembrance Day. :goodvibes

Judy, I'm a little behind again (we were out of town visiting the kids all weekend.

Love the pre-walk photos (love the shirts) and enjoyed seeing the photos during the walk.

Judy, I'm glad you guys had a fun and successful walk! Some great outfits, and I love the princess crowns on the girls princess:

Tracy, that's a gorgeous quilt! I'm sure that Emile will cherish it for a long time!

Wow you 2 have been busy!!!

Tracy, glad to hear you made it home safely!!! As others have said I'm sure your sister felt blessed to have you there!!!! Don't forget to snap some pictures for us on your next visit!!! :goodvibes I was so happy to read that he is doing well and growing!!! :thumbsup2 Continuing to pray!!! I love love love the quilt!!! What a need talent you have!!! I wish we had an aunt Tracy in my family!!!! :goodvibes:rotfl:

The best table service restaurant is an interesting question and I am enjoying the responses!!!

Judy, I love the pictures from the Make a Wish Walk!!! :cheer2: That is so amazing that your family gives back in that way!!! Hugs and prayers to you and for your medical needs.

Madeline

Judy, sounds like you have had a couple of really great weekends. I didn't make it the dis at all last week. I am working regularly again, Monday and Friday nights, so hopefully I won't be as stressed out about money. Glad that all of your test came back mostly okay, and hope that you don't have to have surgery anytime soon.

Tracy, glad to hear that your nephew is continuing to improve.

Thoughts and prayers to all that need them.

Marilyn

Will have to try both those. Probably works better than my singing to the fish, which drives my fishing-partners nuts. :lmao:

Don't hurt to try.

Love the quilt!! It looks great (even with the colors being off).

Judy great picture from the walk!! I'm so glad you guys get to do that to support Make a Wish! I thought I'd share what our local city is doing for a 5 year old little boy who has leukemia for his wish. Really wish I could go but just not going to work out right now (but my friend who makes the capes is getting a group together to go and support him). http://sf.wish.org/wishes/wish-stories/i-wish-to-be/wish-to-be-batkid

Oh have mercy! You're going to get a lot of different answers, I bet. Over the years, we have eaten quite a few table service meals and have enjoyed most of them. What do we look for in a table service meal? Menus that offer something for everyone in our group, not fancy smancy and some place that we can all enjoy a dinner together and talk about our day. Having said that, these are our favorites:

Magic Kingdom:
The Plaza
Crystal Palace

Epcot:
Via Napoli
Coral Reef

Hollywood Studios:
Sci-Fi (food is not outstanding but we love the atmosphere)

Downtown Disney:
House of Blues
Planet Hollywood (again, more for the atmosphere)
T-Rex
Rainforest Café

Resorts:
Ohana
Turf Club
Whispering Canyon Café
Grand Floridian Café

As I said, we've eaten at quite a few more but these are some of the ones that are favorites and/or we'd return to.

I am with Lisa, can't give you just one favorite

MK Crystal Palace or Liberty Tree Tavern

Epcot Biergarten or ?

DHS. Mama Melrose or 50 Prime time

DTD ? We try different all the time

Resorts O'Hara or Chef Mickey

We travel 3 generations ranging from 5-70 so have to try to please everyone.

Picking one favorite is a tough one! My absolute favorite meal is dinner at '50s Prime Time Cafe in DHS. The meal I had there (fried chicken) was beyond delicious and if you like milkshakes they have the best ones in my opinion. I am also a huge fan of the atmosphere of being in a home kitchen, watching black and white TVs, with the family members picking on you and telling you to wash your hands or set the table.

That being said, the environment/teasing doesn't always appeal to everyone, so I'll give you an all-around excellent choice in lunch or dinner at Via Napoli in Epcot. Beautiful restaurant with the best pizza I have ever had! The desserts looked amazing but we were all too full to have any so hopefully next time!

It's hard to go wrong with Disney dining though so whatever you guys pick is going to be delicious! Keep us posted :cool2:

I am so far behind and Tracy has answered you all so I am just going to chime in a bit...:rotfl2: (O know what you are thinking Lisa, always talking :rotfl:)!

Love all of the suggestions, but my brood would LOVE the schtick at MR and fried chicken with ice cream? I feel those arteries hardening! :lmao: THat will happen one day!

Billy's favorite was the Rose and Crown at EPCOT for dinner. We enjoyed the fish and chips and also timed dinner so we could watch IllumiNations from our table.

As a group of 7, when we took the family and my sister, we all enjoyed 50's Prime Time Cafe for the fun interaction with the wait staff. Just remember to mind your manners at the table.

I would choose Be Our Guest to see inside the castle even though I haven't been there yet.
This is really good to know about R&C...and I REALLY want to go inside BOG! They will NOT let you in w/o eating there for any reason, so even though I don't think I will care for the food, I WILL go for the ambiance.
I hope that your tests ended up with good news for you. The clock is beautiful. All of your kids are so talented. The amp pictures look like you all had a blast!
I am so happy to see all of the positive steps that the baby is making.
I am finally starting to feel better physically. I took my last dose of steroids today and finished all of the antibiotics the other day.
I have had a couple of nice surprises this week. First, when I got home on Monday there was the sweetest postcard from 2 former students who are siblings, thanking me for being their first grade teacher 2 & 4 years ago. Then yesterday our counselor came into my room and said that 2 young ladies had requested to come into my room today to shadow me as they are considering teaching as a career choice. They were both also former students who are now seniors in high school. It was so nice to see them as young adults. I hadn't seen the one since she left our school after 2nd grade and the other left around 4th grade.
Thank you for being here and for your good wishes. I am keeping you in prayer and I hope the love of your students and the support you have given to so many is lifting you up!

When you check in (arrive early), request a fireworks view front patio table. Make reservations for 7:30pm to 8pm so you will still be at the table when the show starts at 9pm.

If it's too late to get BOG dinner reservations, then you can get in for lunch since a reservation is not needed.
All great pieces of advice! :goodvibes
Judy, Praying your procedure went well, you got good news and you are resting.

Tracy, so many great places. Keep in mind table services meals typically take up park touring time.

Be Our Guest would top my list for lunch or dinner.

1900 Park Fare or O'Hana would be great for a day you aren't doing a park to get the Disney magic.
I love Dinner at Cinderella's Royal Table.
Breakfast at Crystal Place or Akershus.
Garden Grill for a fun dinner.
Because I think Judy's family would be a riot here, 50's Prime Time Cafe.

Since Lisa loves meat, I have to suggest the Yachtsman Steakhouse.

BOG or Yachtsman would definitely be my choices for Lisa.
Thank you ! We LOVED 1900 Park Fare! I have always wanted to try GG.
Judy, I am glad that Lisa's tests came back good. Our heart kiddos are pretty amazing!

The clock is beautiful! What talent!

Exciting you get to go back again so soon!

Prayers for all those that need them. I'm going to attempt to get caught back up again :)

Jackie
Jackie, always so good to see you.

Our heart kiddos ARE amazing, it is unbelievable what they endure and keep on smiling!

Getting caught up is a never ending feat for me!

I LOVE my clock! I can't believe I have had it a week! David made something last night I will have to wait to share.

For anyone looking for a unique gift for the holidays, please keep in mind David makes pens. PM me.

It is nice when I can sneak in a nap here and there. Today I was able to get one after James and Sarah went down for theirs and Jeremy enjoyed having the TV all to himself!!

OOPS!! Ok so I'm going to blame it on being very, very tired when I looked at the pictures!! I still love it though! That's a cute story. Maybe that's what I can tell Jeremy the next time he goes fishing with Grandpa (my dad). Kiss the fish and they may start biting! :rotfl2: One of the last times they went the fish didn't bite and Jeremy blamed it on Daddy not having any beer with him, so he made sure Daddy had beer the next time they went. :lmao:

So I had my nutritionist appointment today and I now have an eating plan in place. It's going to be strict but I'm up for it (even if I don't want to do it) because I don't want to have to go on medication (needles :scared1:). I do have to test my sugar levels 4 times a day and will get a call once a week to report the numbers so they can decide what's going to happen next depending on what my numbers report. I will keep you updated as time moves forward. Next Dr.'s appointment is November 13. Can't wait to hear the little one's heartbeat again!! Such a magical sound!!
Beer and Gummy bears to fish...Beats worms! :rotfl2: WE used to use stew beef meat, they LOVED it! I know you are doing a great job of eating healthy, that can be the biggest chore, but it beats tons of needles. :grouphug: YEA for naps!!
Tracy that's a great question - hard but great! I'd say a character buffet so that there are a ton of food choices and some fun at the same time. I'd go with a breakfast since that meal is usually much cheaper... and then narrowing which one down is the hard part. However, I would say Crystal Palace in MK. (Close 2nd is 'Ohana followed by 1900 Park Fare.) One of my favorites is Akershus but the boys may not enjoy the princesses.. or maybe they will. :rolleyes1
OOOHHH great suggestions, you and I have similar tastes! My guys and princesses??? Yes, please!! :thumbsup2
I'll place my vote for Crystal Palace for breakfast. We have always gotten reservations before the park opens. They let you in early and you can get pictures in an almost empty park. That alone was worth it to me, not to mention the great food and characters. We have only done BOG for lunch but weren't impressed with the food. The atmosphere was great though. The line looked long waiting, but I think it was only about 20 minutes. That didn't seem bad as we looked around and took pictures. We did go early though and this was in Jan. when crowds were low.

Crystal Place is YUMMY!!! We had ressies for 8: 15, monorail stalled for over 50 minutes, we arrived at 8 and I was shocked how many folks were already in the park. We didn't get out from breakfast until 9:55, it took us that long to see the characters...but that puffed french toast was YUMMY! I am afraid I wouldn't like the food at BOG...

Good Morning Judy. I hope you are feeling better today and your daily appointments go well. :goodvibes
I have my moments...
Judy, hope your tests went well and you get good results.

Tracy, I would go with a late breakfast seating for 1900PF. The lobster egg benedict calls me back. JJ loved the carved ham. There was a good assortment of food and the characters were so much fun. We got to see them multiple times because as the dining room was clearing out, new guests were not seated in their place and the characters took more time with us.

I just LOVE this picture, JJ looks so happy and relaxed!

Judy, so glad to see your good report back from your scope and squish px!

Wishing you and your clan all the best tomorrow with the walk. Go Team! :goodvibes
squish px...that made me laugh! :lmao: Thanks for al of your good wishes always Brenda. :goodvibes
I'm claiming it right along with ya! No need for surgery now and it's going to stay that way. Amen sista!

Good luck at tomorrow's walk! I look forward to seeing pictures.
Thank you Lisa, I really don't have time to deal with surgery! God knows that too, so I BELIEVE! :thumbsup2 Lots of pics, just for you! :goodvibes
Judy - great news on your tests, I hope the surgery will be delayed a very long time! The walk sounds like so much fun, I wish I could have joined you and your family but I am falling apart at the seams again and that kind of walk is not possible right now.

Lovethattink (sorry, I don't know your real name?) I had to laugh at the pics of JJ at 1900 Park Fare, such a typical silly boy! But that made me remember that I really love breakfast there................or dinner there :) But breakfast with Tigger and Pooh, plus Alice, Mary and the Mad Hatter is one of my favorites. But then again, I LOVED the evil stepsisters during dinner on my last trip too.

So Disnorth still hasn't gotten an answer out of me :) :) There is just too many places that I love! THUS why I am Pooh sized :rotfl2:
OKay my sneaky, falling apart at the seams friend, you got me! :thumbsup2 Great to meet you in person at the walk. :goodvibes
Tracy, I caught up enough to pick up on your preemie nephew. Am adding him to my prayers.

Okay, enough procrastinating. I have been in recovery mode from a crazy October (example of how crazy--I let my brake tag expire and had to get a new one today. So our car which we bought in August a few years back, now has a November inspection sticker. Great track record, no?), which means my house is a disaster area. And I'm hosting a Pampered Chef party next weekend. So I better get to getting!

Just wanted to pop in!!! :)

Judy, saw you asked how Bill is. He's doing great. He says this is the best deployment he's been on. I'm so ready for it to be done with. Got a bit depressed after the Disney trip, Kaity's party, and my parents went back home. Also part of why my house is currently a wreck. I still haven't finished unpacking from Disney! LOL

I am glad Bill's deployment is going well, I just pray he is home with you soon! :grouphug: Are you able to say if he will be home by Christmas? praying for your sanity!!! I hope the PP chef party is a hit! And I am glad you have your car inspected, I know this is difficult. :grouphug:

Judy, I hope surgery will not be necessary. Thinking of you.
The thought of more surgery is NOT one I relish, Thank you! :goodvibes

Y'all look ready to go!!!! Have a marvelous time!!!

Thanks for the prayers! :)

Thank you!

You ALWAYS have my prayers! :goodvibes

I LOVE this picture and your shirts are great. :goodvibes
Thank you! I LOVE Vista Prints and a great coupon! :thumbsup2
The shirts were even better in person! I had the pleasure of meeting Judy, Pete and their amazing kids today at the walk. I woke up early and felt like an adventure, so I got in my trusty Equinox and pointed it north. Only one little mistake in the directions and then I found myself parked at the walk site, what I didn't know was that it was literally a stones throw from Judy's vehicle!

I registered for the walk, not really sure if I was going to attempt it but I really went to Charlotte for the express purpose of meeting this wonderful family..............and it didn't take me long to recognize the guys from the photos I have seen here....................and where were they.............well, waiting in line for funnel cakes, which I might add were awesome! Pete pointed me in the direction of the "girls" (yes, Judy that's you too) although I would have easily found them just from Lisa's chariot aka w/c.

It was a beautiful day for a walk and they were gracious enough to ask me to walk with them and over a 1 1/2 mile walk I got to talk to all of them except Judy, now I really wish I could go to Florida with them when they go with Tracy, it would be an awesome vacation, they are so much fun!

The next time I see them I hope its when the girls are performing, I really want to see them in action, I know that they are so talented.

So thank you Judy, Pete and the gang for welcoming me to the walk and letting me spend time with you on the agonizing walk :rotfl2:
We were so glad to have you join us Deborah and I REALLLY appreciate your post! Love seeing the walk through your eyes! :flower3:
 Glad the mammogram results are good and surgery isn't imminent.

I think I would owe David more than a DVD player in the house if I steal his seat and make him cram in the back with the girls::crowded:
NO SURGERY...it has to be! Now to get Pete off my back! :lmao: The doctor said I could wait!

We could put Pete in the back too when he wasn't driving. :rotfl2:
Great Shirts :thumbsup2

Thank you! :goodvibes
Great picture. Sounds like a grueling but fun walk. Kelly put up a really nice picture on fb of the group.
Thanks for letting me know Michelle. :goodvibes The walk was definitely different this year than last and the Speedway had another event, so road traffic was heavy.
Great picture and shirts!
Thank you! :goodvibes:flower3:
Love the great shirts and hope it was a great great day
Thank you! :flower3: It WAS a GREAT day, :goodvibes they had a MAW reveal, of course I cried!

Well Duh! In my haste to post yesterday I realized my pic of Kelly and her daughter hadn't posted. I rectified that! :thumbsup2
Happy Sunday Judy. I hope you are feeling better. :goodvibes
ummm...not my best yet, but hoping today is the day! pixiedust:
Judy, Love the matching shirts! Hope you had a good weekend.

DisNorth, favorite meal is Crystal Palace before the park opens in the morning.

Thanks Betsy, it was a good weekend, I hope yours was as well. :goodvibes

CP WAS good food! :thumbsup2

Well now you know what you need to do the next time you go. Or I found when I was younger gummy bears worked pretty good too. :rotfl2:

Judy you guys look great!! Sounds like it was a fun day!!!
Thank you Sandra, it was a nice weekend. Christian left straight from the walk to spend the weekend with friends (wasn't he nice to join us), so it was a little more quiet around my house, but we got a lot done.
Great job with the Team Princess Lisa shirts. And the tiaras for the girls, perfect! :thumbsup2

Sounds like it was a very successful day.
Thanks Brenda! I kept forgetting I had my tiara on. :rotfl2: I guess it just felt natural to wear a crown. :rotfl: MAW met their goal right at the walk. Thank you again for your help!
I am caught up again:banana: Wow I have missed so much. Your page really took off lol!
Yea for being caught up!

Thank you Tonya.
It was such a blessing for us! :goodvibes
I love the Walk for Wishes shirts and everyone ROCKS them! I wish I could come walk with you! We are hoping to travel to the Mitochondrial Disease Walk next year as there is none in our area.
I wish you could walk with us as well! Between the heart walk, the autism walk, the epilepsy walk and MAW there are a lot of walks for us...and several I am not even mentioning here...

Thoughts and prayers to all out there who need them this week!

I am getting ready to start my pretrip report finally!!
Let me know when you do post the PTR. I promise to always be behind, but eternally trying to catch up! :flower3:
Nice pictures from the Make-a-Wish walk. That was nice of Deborah to come out to meet you and the family. Hope you are feeling better today. Keeping you and all those in need in prayer! Happy Veteran's Day!
Thank you Gail. It was definitely a pleasant surprise to have Deborah show up :goodvibes and a reminder I need to remember people other than those we know read here as well. :scared: Thank you for the prayers Gail, how are you and Billy?

Thank you for the Veteran's Day remembrance, I can't get over how many don't recognize this day as important, especially the younger than me folks. I must be an old fuddy duddy; however, I was taken back by some of the responses of Rachel's acquaintances and their snide comments.

I am almost out of time.

Glad you had a great time on the walk! Hope you are feeling better!

Yea for Emile growing and I LOVE his new quilt my talented friend! He and his Mama are gong to be THRILLED!

Thinking of you and my friends to the North as they remember their fallen veteran's. I hope you had a great day off!!

The mechanic turned into a fiasco yesterday that I will not bore you all with. HOPEFULLY we will have his car back today, we just can't do it with only my van. PETE needs a vehicle, I claim that as well! And maybe I need to go buy a lottery ticket. :lmao: Pete and Christian both have MD appts ay 8 AM, then we go get Christian's vehicle and Pete goes to work...fun...

:goodvibes

Thank you Belle. Pete's military service is what got us in some of the bind we are in and God lifts us out. I feel...okay at the moment. :thumbsup2

Judy, I'm a little behind again (we were out of town visiting the kids all weekend.

Love the pre-walk photos (love the shirts) and enjoyed seeing the photos during the walk.

I KNOW you had a great weekend Kathy if you were with the kids. :goodvibes YEA for you!! :woohoo: I am behind too. :guilty:

Glad you liked the pics, I love to share. :goodvibes

Great pictures from the walk! How sweet of Deborah to come over and cheer you guys on.
Thank you my friend, it was a nice day for the walk and Deborah joining us was a surprise. :goodvibes Finding out she was parked caddy corner to us was a surprise too! We arrived later than we wanted Saturday, because of the car at the mechanics...three days they have had us tied up...today it will be FIXED and better than ever! :thumbsup2

TRACY!!!! I just noticed your ticker says TWO MONTHS!
